Location is near to Nandi village and Nice place to spend a weekend. Walk to a nearby lake was really nice and refreshing. Poobla krishna is really nice host and a good cook as well. Not to forget about the two lovely four pawed friends Choco and forget his name though. Can't get over the lovely gooseberry pickle I ate there l. You want detachment from outside world and attachment with nature please go there.

Far away from the city, near Nandi hills, this organic farm house is a best place to spend quality time with family and friends. The host, Mr. Poobala is a very friendly and down to earth person. I would suggest this place to anyone who wishes to have a wonderful and peaceful time.. @charanya Aparna: Poobala never charged 2000 per head. Can you please confirm when did you visit the farm? I have been visiting the farm from 3 years.

We planned to see nandi hill and plannined to stay overnight and expected to have a nice experience amidst nature based on the review, but if there's any way to given negetive score i would have opted for that. The only thing i liked are the friendly dogs, apaty from that the room and wash room was dirty, had only one small yellow bulb in the room and after asking for another light one person came and connected an LED. Although we mentioned that we shall have lunch they served cold rassam with no vegetables and soggy vada and pickle with cold rice, we thought we would have meals prepared from farm fresh vegetables, The dining area was dirty amd dogs were sitting there, although i like dogs but that was very unhygienic. So we decided to eat in the kitchen where no chair table system was there and we sit in the floor. We went to see the sunset and came back and there was a frog in the roon which is not expected, we wanted some rustic experience instead we got a dirty room with various insects and dirty washroom. Last but not the least the owner mentioned that he prefers like minded people and his behavior made us feel unwelcomed. They charge 2000 rs per head per night, i and my spouse went there we gave 2000 rs advance during booking and we decided to cone back without spending the night, and he denied any refund, although lunch we had would cost max 50rs per plate and we used the facility for max 2 hrs. This is not how you treat your paying guest .

My Reasons to visit & recommend Mayavadi Organic Farm. Think of Nature Camping/Treehouse/Tent Stay, good simple village cooking, small non-commercial farm which is more of a micro-jungle, beautiful Sunrise and Sunset views, a simple hut like setting in a valley with lots of trees, surrounded by mountains including famed Nandi hills and agricultural farms and farming community. Ok, now if above reasons were not enough add few more of these- A blissful, sometimes, soul searching nature walk/trail exploration/hike/trek/ to any of the nearby surrounding hills, Monsoon waterfall, Lakeview, witnessing simple pure love shared among furry hosts (cows & dogs) and human-It's Surreal!! Surrounding place around Mayavadi is testimony to the abundance NATURE has on offer for all of us. Well for me Mayavadi is all about -Freedom, Simplicity, Calmness, Non-judgmental environment, talks around spirituality or let's just say finding our self when we feel lost and overwhelmed. About Host- Well I think the place reflects the soul of the person and his belief....need I say more! His hospitality allows & encourages you to be yourself among others-NON JUDMENTAL AND WELCOMING to all, but WITHOUT pretensions. Hey you have, all the freedom to cook your own food for your loved ones or dazzle others with your secret recipe (Barbeque, Bonfire, Traditional hot water bath available, provided you can get some charcoal or collect the dry wood from nearby place & of course, if you are ready to share). For all you inspired artistic minds or souls- You are free to add to the art work, sculptures, tent machans, tend to animals/plants and place itself- basically express yourself or leave a foot print in this wonderful place. For families- if you want to have a personal loved filled setting, get amazed to see your kids happy and explorative without their digital gadgets- explore Mayavadi. For Youngsters- If you want to be with your loved ones in serene quiet place-explore Mayavadi. For those Organic loving people- You can get some original, organic stuff to buy, it's not a trade, but thanks to local farmers and like-minded farms nearby/far in country :) P.S. Please don't expect luxurious resort setting or facilities, artificial pampering to satisfy your pseudo-ego, hot readymade geyser bath, exotic food etc. It's a COMMUNITY living setting, NOT ELITIST privilege. Verdict: MUST VISIT ONCE:) later revisits will automatically happen:)

Surrounded by lush fields of sugarcane, sunflower, tomatoes and grains, Mayavadi is a definite escape from the grey lives we live in the city. This farm has all the basic amenities like clean bathrooms, mattresses sleeping bags, clean spring water to drink, a fully functional kitchen, parking etc. But it has fruit bearing trees and beautiful sit-out spots and hammocks to help you relax and sink into the calm of the moment and place. The food is traditional Karnataka style and I indulged in absolute gluttony while there; without any side effects! There is a beautiful large wild lake at a short hike distance from the farm. Incredibly clean water and pristine surroundings. The property has three cuddly loving dogs, many kind sweet farmers and Poobalan the host who will astonish you with his calm and magnanimity. Please do not expect physical luxury or restaurant food or high speed internet and cable; these are not the highlights of this place. The highlight is nature and the rejuvenation it gives us. Look forward to going back there soon and eating vegetables and fruits off the garden again

I had a reservation and I paid all amount in advance. Unfortunately had to cancel. I was not able to travel due to severe sickness. As soon as I knew I contacted the Organic farm and we agreed on partial refund. 6 months later I still did not receive the refund. The owner des not sound like trustworthy. I am very disappointed. It has been nearly a year now. I still did not receive the partial refund. :( Really disappointed. 30/01/2024 I am happy to provide you bank details for that refund transfer. Still waiting for it after 1+ year since we agreed the partial refund. I just send you a private message with my bank details.

I never knew that there can be such amazing place nearby bangalore. I'm going to be there again in sometime. It has its own vibe, very close to nature. And the people who are running it are also nature enthusiasts. One should definitely visit it for a small break from routine.

I call this place as a space where I witnessed mutual respect between nature and humans. A space where I felt loved by everyone around. The trees, animals, soil, waters of the lake, the wind, fire. The mornings were truly something. I felt so blessed that I got to greet the sun as it was slowly rising from between the hills, with myself half immersed in the waters of the lake. The afternoons were spent in looking at different trees, coconut trees were just the beginning, then I got to know about jackfruit, cinnamon, Lakshman Fal, papaya, banana, aloe vera, bamboo and so on... The variety was endless. My favorite spot will always be the unbalanced wooden swing where I have rested, slept and even spent hours looking at the life of ducks in the pond. It held the perfect life meaning for me; unbalanced wooden swing but by adjusting myself in the right manner, I was able to maintain the perfect balance. There is so much more but I reckon the best part were little joys I received everyday:)) Poobala I'm so thankful to God that He created You and that You Created this wonderful ParadiseπŸ™

Definitely worth a visit.. The pictures don’t say it all, it’s good to visit and explore the real nature and surroundings. The stay on the hut or machan was a different experience. Coming to the best part is food.. it was purely a blissful and yummiest home made food.. the services were too good.. Thanks poobala, will definitely visit again

Wonderful and peaceful place. All vegetables are grown organically and they are fresh. You also have the opportunity of staying in a tent. Nature is well preserved in this farm house.

We went to this place with a lot expectations based on google and airbnb reviews. But we were shocked at their lethargy in maintenance and cleanliness. Our experience was constantly uncomfortable, surrounded by dirt, cobwebs and stench. It seemed to us that the ratings and reviews were based on the past experiences and mayavadi has lost its appeal. It is also under renovation. We simply regretted our experience here. Not worth it

In a word, just awful. The owner asked 2000 per person for the stay and the food. After reaching there we were in shock. Uncleaned room, uncleaned washroom, no one was there to even give us water. The food was so pathetic just rasam and rice. We were so shocked that we decided not to stay and come back to Bangalore on the same day. We asked for 50% of the money back from the owner. He denied and we basically paid 2000 for a lunch of Rasam and Rice. This is a con! A big fraud. I doubt the reviews are even genuine. Avoid this place if you don't wanna get conned!

The place is nice. The rooms are clean and so is the bathroom. The only issue is that there is only one primary bathroom in the main room. The other rooms are tents on machaans. They are easy to access, though not for older folks. The food is simple and good. All vegetarian. But it’s a nice place to just sit and chill. The grove is lovely, pretty trees and lovely birds. The lake close by is a dream, literally. You can carry your own towels and maybe a blanket. Else their facilities are good, basic but good. Poobala is a lovely gentleman. He’s honest and he’s got a good heart. He’s very responsive too. So chat up with him before heading there.

One of the best place for a relaxing weekend. The place is well maintained and clean. The food was amazing. Most of all the host was a humble, down to earth and always had a smile on his face and never says no to anything.

Our stay at the accommodation was nothing short of a disaster. Despite being charged 2000 per person for both the stay and meals, we were met with a shocking sight upon arrival. The room was dirty and the washroom hadn't been cleaned. To our dismay, there was no one available to even provide us with water. However, the worst part was the food. We were served a meager and disappointing meal consisting only of rasam and rice. This was the tipping point, and we decided to abandon our stay and return to Bangalore on the same day. When we requested a partial refund of 50% from the owner, our plea was denied. Essentially, we ended up paying 2000 for an unsatisfactory lunch of rasam and rice. This experience felt like a scam and a major deception. I even suspect the authenticity of the reviews. To avoid being deceived, I strongly advise staying away from this place!

Location is nice, but room is dirty with insects. The washroom is dirty. The charge is 2000rs per head per night and food is aweful. They served cold rice and sambar as lunch and the dining area is so dirty, dogs were sitting there. Very unhygienic. The owner is very condescending and made us feel unwelcomed.

The time I spent at the farm was absolutely amazing! Everything was just as I expected: spartan but clean rooms, not even one pice of plastic around, very beautiful treks around the property, a green space where to enjoy the distance from the city and last but not the least very very interesting people to talk to which i hope to see again! I really recommend this place to anyone who wants a very calm and relaxing day close to a flourishing nature!

I had a very horrible stay at this property. The room was not clean, not even the washroom. The bathroom did have a door and it was wide open. The bathroom had a big window without a door or even a curtain. The room didn't have a single curtain and the bed was very very small. No proper food was available in this property, I was served with only Rice, Rasam and Papad as part of Lunch. Swiggy/Zomato is also not available. The property owner is very rude and looting people by taking 5k for a room which shouldn't be more than 1-2k. Please save your hard earned money and don't stay at this property.
