Hosts are very friendly. If you have an issue or question, they are quick to help. Also very helpful with suggesting and organising tours/places to visit, as well as providing information about the local area (Eg. Mapping out specific places and directions on how to get there). Another plus is that this place is close to the mall, supermarket and the bus terminal which is great. Only thing is that the first night was freezing! But extra layers and woolly socks solved the problem easily. Affordable! Thank you very much to the owners for making my first few days/nights in Chile comfortable and very memorable :)

De los mejores hostels del viaje con diferencia. Llevamos meses viajando y encontramos en Maria y sus hijos un lugar donde nos hubieramos quedado semanas. De hecho ibamos para 3 dias y nos quedamos 3 mas. Maria y sus hijos te hacen sentir como en casa. Son super amables, y hay un ambiente muy bueno en la casa, con ese jardin precioso. Hay cocina de uso comun, las habitaciones son muy comodas y esta ubicado muy cerca de la estacion de buses y a distancia andando del centro y la costa. Muy recomendable el tour (g)astronomico que nos comentaron. Fue de lo mejor del viaje. Mil gracias Maria y familia. Esperamos veros en la Serena de nuevo o en España ;)

A little oasis of nature in the middle of the city. Owners are lovely and full of amazing stories. Someone should make a book about them.
