Amazing Mexican restaurant with all plant based options. The taste is AMAZING!!! And super cheap also. One of my favorite places in the city

I was a bit cynical about visiting a vegan seafood taco place. I was never a fan of seafood and didn't expect there to be much variety on offer... and I was totally wrong! These tacos are truly excellent! While the 5 dishes we tried were all really good, the Zarandeado stood out as possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The best food I've had in Mexico City! Such fresh and interesting flavours, good portions, great price and friendly staff. Came back here twice and can definitely recommend the fish taco, tuna tostada and especially the Zarandeado. I never thought plant- based fish tacos could be so tasty!!

This place was great! A lot of the other vegetarian/vegan taco places are very good, but very similar to each other. This one is totally unique and a must-eat on your CDMX vegan taco list. We got the Paxil taco, “fish” taco and the ceviche tostada. They were all really good and different from each other.

This place is a hidden GEM. Amazing plant based tacos. One of my favorite stands in cdmx. Prices are very affordable. Get the Paxil, gobernador, and a la talla. They accept card too 😁

Reviewing this as a lifetime vegetarian - tried 4 different items and everything was super delicious! “Fish” taco and A la Taya were my favourites. So glad we made our way here! Great prices also. (Will note that seafood loving husband really enjoyed this also but said that it’s wasn’t super “seafood”-like.)

Conceptually, Paxil’s delicious plant-based seafood hits the fishy [taste] target with its “fish” taco but only so-so with other dishes. Nonetheless, everything tastes fresh and savory with fun & exciting food plating. You’ll honestly forget it’s plant-based, and enjoy the ride. For those looking for a fishy experience try the “fish” taco made with battered portobello and seta mushrooms, seasoned with "mayonnaise" on a corn tortilla. My personal favorite dish however is the Gobernador, a mix of vegetables with melted “cheese”, accompanied by pico de gallo, chipotle dressing, and tamarind sauce on a flour tortilla. The best hot sauce they have for mostly all the dishes is Gucamaya Tradicional: Tangy and a decent 6/10 on the spiciness level. (Caveat: I’m Mexican so your spiciness tolerance may vary). The Good: + Everything tastes great and the food plating is very well-done. Fun to eat here. + Friendly staff. They’re happy to answer any question. + If you’re lucky enough to score stools at the stand - comfortable, front row view to the cooking, spacious table. + Priced fairly for what you get. + Accepts credit card payments. The Okay: • Ordering seconds, thirds, etc takes about 4-6 minutes on average per plate if it’s semi-busy (3-4 “groups”). It’s not an issue honestly, patience is a virtue. • The agua natural was okay but nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t get it again; that day it was a cucumber mix. The Bad: - Nothing. Paxil, is a unique take on plant-based seafood. Genuinely fun to eat here, but most importantly a delicious choice.

Delicious tacos and they are very generous with the fillings, however I wouldnt say they taste anything like fish (i was expecting something like quorn vegan fish fingers). I was in a rush so had to grab mine take away- turns out bins in mexico city are few and far between so i ended up carrying the empty box almost the whole way home.

The food was excellent and each plate was nicely presented. I really enjoyed the different tacos, each with unique flavors and textures. The taco cart is distinguished and clean, they offer many condiments. Very friendly owners, service was quick too. Definitely recommend.

Amazing food. The best vegan tacos I had the whole two months in Mexico. You absolutely must try the fish taco and the zarandeado. Both were delicious, and the fish taco had an incredible texture, very similar to fish. Great price, especially considering the Roma area, and really nice service. You can also pay by card if needed!

Really delicious, fresh and creative take on vegan seafood. Must try even if you're not vegan. Prices are very good and the owners are very welcoming.

Very good food, wonderful to find a vegan street-food stand with quality food. We took three different kinds of tacos and they were all fantastic, my brother who isn’t vegan or vegetarian was truly amazed!

Very good. Strong recommend. Get the gubernador. The fish and chips were also excellent.

Great vegan taco stand. While I wouldn't say the tacos tasted a lot like fish, they did taste very good. Service was friendly, though could be a bit faster. Though it is fun to see the chefs at work.
