Relatively easier hike with pretty views. Start from Yau Tong Station and it will take you 1 hr if you are not going too fast. First part is a steep incline up then followed by stairs and incline slopes. If you push yourself, you can definitely make it to the peak. Pretty peak with many photographers and people flying drone. People would sit on top of the walls and take pictures, dangerous but you do you.

At a depth of 22 metres, the Lei Yue Mun Pass is very narrow and is the only maritime approach into the Victoria Harbour on the east. The Devil’s Peak, as it overlooks all of the eastern seaway into the Lei Yue Mun Pass, thus became a site of strategic importance for the British. Together with the Lei Yue Mun Fort at the highlands of Shau Kei Wan (now the Museum of Coastal Defense), the Devil’s Peak was one of the twin command centres guarding eastern Kowloon and Hong Kong on north and south of the Lei Yue Mun Pass. Be sure to visit both the Gough Battery and the Devil’s Peak Redoubt, both are photogenic with vista points to see the views on the western side of the Victoria Harbour.

A hiking trail near the urban area. Slope with lots of climbing stairs not so suitable for children and elderly. The view towards the eastern part of Hong Kong island was great. Another view was Tseung Kwan O where construction was nonstop and the bridge was still in progress. The historical battle remains were not preserved but could still be identified. No toilets or stores were built in the trail. Since the number of visitors were quite large, part of the trail was congested with walkers from both directions.

(Translated by Google) It’s easy to find and walk around in the city. It takes no more than 2 minutes to go back and forth with a baby puppy. Novices may have foot problems, so don’t worry! And there are trees along the road to block the sun. , Great! The scenery is beautiful, besides the sunset, there is the sea, and great! One of the most fabulous places in Hong Kong. Good for a short trek or exercise all the way up. It provides beautiful views of East and West side of Hong Kong. Sunrise and sunset can be best enjoyed from top above.

Wilson's trail offers a fantastic panoramic view at the top of Devil's Peak of the Yau Tong district as well as Victoria Harbour. Started the climb up the hill via the stairs bypassing the Lingnan temple. There are about 500-600 steps to climb to the top. It wasn't particularly strenuous but the path was forested and hence there were many mosquitoes. Once at the top, the trail was fairly easy and the view was terrific. Good hike

Couldn't find the tunnel area as nothing is marked. There are basically two empty gun positions with very little view as the foliage has grown quite tall.

We walk up from Ma Pui Tsuen at Lei Yuen Mun, along Wilson Trail. Not a difficult path but need to climb up quite a few flights of stairs. Can enjoy the view of Victoria Harbour when walking up. The fortress at the top of Devil's Peak is a historical site to explore and can have a panoramic view of Tseung Kwan O.
