Finally reopened on a different location. It’s a bigger venue with an attractive food menu. Hope the COVID restrictions in Hong Kong will be eased same as the rest of the world and we will see the past glory here in the Wanch.

A nice place for weekend. Last night we have been here watch the music show, a small place but a lovely place with good service waiters. The choices of drinks not too much but it was good. The prices of drinks are acceptable, and the best thing is there is no 10% service charge in there, but 3% for the credit card. There was no more choices of snacks. We stay in here from 19:30 to 22:00. Before 21:00, the show was good and softy. After 21:00, the musician has changed, they was playing the rock music, Music was good but small place make the loud in there, I can’t talk to my girl at that time. Anyway, it is a wonderful night and never try before in Hong Kong like that, I will try again next time.

Best music bar in Hong Kong. Have played here lots over the past ten years. Weekdays can be fun as there is more diversity of acts and less packed with nine to fivers like on the weekends. If you are a visiting musician pop by on Open Mic Mondays and you might be able to sneak in a few tunes.

Awesome space (dare i say it ... better than the original). Great selection of beers. Food looks awesome too - scotch eggs on the snacks menu 😍 - although I didn't eat on my visit. Cannot wait until live music can begin again - this place is going to kill (again)

The Wanch since 2022! It’s so good to see The Wanch back up and running, rocking the night with both cover bands and original bands. There is something for everyone and the pit in front of the stage allows for, hmm, self-expression to go wild. Bigger, brasher, louder, and 8 times bigger, get down there! The Old Wanch! The pedigree of the Wanch as a musician's bar for musicians, good, bad and audacious, is well-established. It's a bit of a lottery whether the early evening slots hit the spot but when the seasoned guys take the stage, there is nowhere better to watch live music. Word to the wise if standing at the front. Take care not to block the view as it's a small venue.

Great place to feel comfortable and enjoy the huge pool of Hong Kong musical talent. The new stage, sound and lighting make it feel as though you are at a fully immersive rock event. Food is above average bar food and there is room for dancers. Never mind the 'highbrow' reviewers

One of the last bastions of live music and rock and roll performance still standing after 20 years in musically-challenged Hong Kong - an astonishing feat for those who know HK's screwed up real estate market. Think HK's version of CBGBs. Enjoy live music played by real people in HK? Get down to the Wanch and show your support while you still can...

By far the best place for hard rock music in Hong Kong. The Wanch survived COVID and now seems to be back delivering exceptional music. Can tend to be very loud and crowded - if that's your thing.

Δ°f you are looking for a pub that plays heavy metal you are in the right place. Very straight, decent establishment with apparently regular comers. Beer price is fine. Quality is normal. Best metalhead place in the vicinity.

If you're a visitor who likes live music, The Wanch is a must. I'll leave it at that, other than to say I've played in the old Wanch (phone box) many times over the last 25 years and it hasn't lost any of its unique personality. Thankfully! ENJOY!!!

A real rock band! Played my request of "Wanted, dead or alive" by Bon Jovi. Heh, bring ear plugs, the decibel levels are literally... Off The Charts! Get up and Dance!

What a joke. The owner and staff of the grubby old Wanch (which was brilliant fun in its original form) have tried to go upscale HK style. But they're way out of their league now. The new design is supposed to be hipster friendly, but they leave too many tables in front of the stage once bands start playing, so its hard to watch and not good for dancing. But worst of all (and its mighty bad) is the service. I visited 5 or 6 times since the new place opened hoping to take in good bands good drinks and fun people (the way it used to be), but you end up waiting forever to get served. For food, if you can spot a server, they ignore you when you want to get a menu or order. Once they brought my burger to me they refused to get me more ketchup/mustard (said they were too busy). Drinks are worst of all. Theyre way understaffed at the bar and completely ignore you minute after minute as you wait and fight to get their attention. And we're talking conspicuously ignoring customers. I got to the point where I and my fds tried to shout to get the bartenders attention after standing/waving/staring without any response for 10 minutes. They just keep ignoring the customers and when a couple people got really irritated and tried to complain, the bartenders just shrugged their shoulders. Complaining to the owner doesn't help. He just wants to stand around and pretend he's part of the high brow HK crowd now and can't be bothered with making things work right. The place is pathetically understaffed, and the original staff that carried over to the new place have no sense or concern for the kind of service ethic needed to make the new format work. I won't waste my time there anymore, Ill just go over to the Aftermath in central where we can get a drink and enjoy ourselves.

What a disappointment. I have been twice since live music started, Sunday and Friday. The Sunday Philippino blues 3 piece were awful. I arrived on Friday about 6.30 to see almost every seat empty but every table reserved. Not very welcoming. I'll try again mid-week as I loved the old Wanch. Also, put some dressing on your 'salad'.
