Outstanding oasis that welcomes people of all kinds. I appreciated that in creating a retreat center, the owners have ensured their staff are nearly all locals and they sustain much (if not most) of their dining with food grown locally on their land. As a yoga center, SSE is calming, rejuvinating, and blissful. As a business, it is bringing revenue to a small patch of rural Nicaragua and working with locals to always improve. Very cool! Also worth noting that I visited right around the time a non-local employee was let go. This employee was displeased with the business's decision and has been leaving a bunch of 1-star reviews on Google accounts she created/asking friends to do so, so don't be fooled by anything lower than 5-stars on here.

We stayed for a week long retreat and enjoyed every second! The staff are wonderful and warm and the owners were around to greet us and ensure we had the best stay. The food was amazing, especially the Nica Plate! We loved surfing every morning and practicing yoga in the afternoon while the sun was setting. We can't wait to come back!

Wow, talk about a dream - Still Salty Escape is a true oasis. I could not believe my eyes when I got there. Every detail from the remote beach front location to the interior design to the food was created with intention and love. It’s a peaceful sanctuary sitting amongst natures beauty. Perfect for surfers, yogis, or those looking to get off the grid and enjoy a mind body reset. Only a short walk along the beach to the nearest surf break, it’s a glimpse of the simple life. Eating plant based meals with food from their nearby farm is a reminder to eat local and pay attention to where our food comes from. The smiling local staff are a treat to interact with. I was pleased to hear how the retreat is also giving back to the local community through English classes, employment, food donation, saving pups, and more. They’re paving the way for a new form of travel/tourism that is focused on sustainability, giving back, respecting the land, and enjoying the present. Thank you Still Salty for all you do.

I was lucky enough to experience Still Salty THREE times last year. Each time I was there the season was different but the people, place, food and vibes WERE AMAZING. The retreat I experienced ran seamlessly, the staff and owners were welcoming and gracious, the surf was impeccable and the food was delish. A perfect place to unwind, ground down, learn to surf, check out the views, jump in the sea, eat local organic food. Watching the farm grow every time I was there. I really can't say enough good things about this place.

It is hard to put into words the magic that is Still Salty Escape. This centre is truly barefoot luxury. The details are magnificent, from the custom wooden furniture, to the outdoor showers, wonderful hammock and poolside areas. Ultimately I would say 3 highlights are the SUNSET, with a different array of colours every night (a nightly ritual and visual treat), the FOOD is incredibly fresh, exciting and amazing portions, and the yoga SHALA is simply awe-inspiring. Lastly I want to highlight that the staff are incredibly kind and hardworking. I absolutely hope to return.

I stayed at Still Salty for a month and it was one of the most incredible experiences. The food was so fresh, the staff was super friendly/helpful and the rooms were very clean. My outdoor bathroom was a dream. I couldn’t recommend SSE enough, wether you host or join in on a retreat here you will have the best time!

Stayed at SSE for a month for a yoga teacher training and could not imagine a better accommodation!! The place is out of a dream- absolutely stunning, clean, and amazing energy all around. The staff is great and love the owners!! Super attentive to everyone’s needs and genuinely so kind. 10/10 recommend to anyone!

Gorgeous Retreat venue! Amazing design, kind staff, and the food was absolutely incredible. I did my 200hr YTT here. It's a bit far from the airport but so worth it. They had driver come pick us up and we totally felt safe. It was a life changing experience. The sound of the ocean waves while practicing/learning in the stunning Yoga Shala was like a dream. I am so grateful.

That there is still a patch of earth in the world is incredible. Directly by the sea, without crowds, great accommodation, incredibly tasty, fresh and healthy food. The staff is so warm and helpful - I will definitely come back, so I will recommend this place highly.
