Oh wow!!! I love the great outdoors. We are visiting from California and was looking for an activity and was able to find a great background for Christmas photos. My brother recommended this location. This place is amazing! I'm always in awe of God's creation. We only expected to take photos for 30 minutes. We took nearly 200 photos. It's definitely going to be tough choosing one or two for our final card. I love this part of Las Vegas. We'll be back! I highly recommend this place. πŸ˜ŽπŸ’―β€οΈπŸ‘ŠπŸΎ

Short 30-minute drive from Vegas. I've been wanting to drive to Mt. Charleston for a while now and we finally made the short journey. The drive was very scenic. We saw some cute little critters along the drive. The visitor's center offers covered tables you can picnic at while you relax and enjoy the view of the mountains. As you continue up the mountain, there are quite a few opportunities to pull over to snap some great pictures. There is also a hiking trail to Mary Jane Falls, we plan on checking that out on our next visit to Mt. Charleston. If you are looking for a change of scenery and want to escape the city for a little bit, I highly recommend you make the short drive to check Mt. Charleston out.

Being from Charleston, SC I had to visit this place, the view is amazing! I didn't get to spend a lot of time here but for the time I did spend here I enjoyed. It's a very peaceful stop where you can cool down from the hot air of Vegas. It's crazy how cool it is when visiting, I had to wear a light sweater while hiking and it was March. Key Notes: - Dogs are welcomed - Visitor Center available - Multiple trails to hike - Water fountain available - You can drive thru the mountain, there is a road to drive on. - On your way up to Mt. Charleston you can stop at the stores on the side of the road and get unique items. I bought this beautiful glass ball ornament hand painted by Native Americans with horses on it. I would highly recommend this place especially if you're an outdoorsy kind of person.

Saturday my son and I drove up there to look for autumn foliage in Mount Charleston. We stopped at Mary Jane Fall and found golden colored Aspens. It was gorgeous. I didn’t even want to leave.

Literally feels like you're not in Las vegas. So many things to do. At different times there will be waterfalls when the snow melts. You can also ski or snow board. I know there is a bus that takes you up it's like 15$ enjoy!

A nice place to escape fron Vegas heat during summer. Also a great escape with kids for snow in winter. It could be super packed during holiday or holiday weekend, I do not recommend to go as parking could be such a hassle and they charged my friend for $25 cash per car. During low season or weekdays they do not charge anything.

Lee Canyon in Mt. Charleston, an hour drive from Las Vegas for snowboarding, slides and snow fun. 😊

Beautiful place in any season. Really only local people know about this so it's not usually too busy, except of course when it snows and all the Vegas locals rush there. It is not very accessible anywhere as it is nature all around and dirt trails to hike.
