Fancy a trip to a quaint Scandinavian bakery without leaving SoCal? Looking for a fresh loaf of bread or some of the best selections of natural wine? Want a cup of coffee with friends in a cozy setting? Rye Goods is so much more than your corner artisan bakery, the food here is incredible and so is the ambiance. The branding is a tall glass of refreshing water, and the people who work here are warm and friendly. The owner and her team have put together some highly curated retail offerings as well. I highly recommend their tarts, seasonal salads and fresh bread, but everything I've tried here has been amazing. Thanks for bringing a slice of excellence to Laguna Beach!

Really good organic bakery. Nice ambience, outdoor and indoor seating. Big pastry case and fresh bread. Breakfast, lunch, dinner menu. Vegan friendly, the vegan chocolate chip cookie was great. Fun seasonal latte flavors, I had a rose pistachio latte with oat milk. Espresso is high quality. Natural wine selection. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into the whole business. I also like how tucked away it is, feels a little more private. Worth going!

I'm on a trip, and today was my last day in Laguna Beach. So many good reviews made me want to visit, so I did just 4 minutes before closing. I was worried they might be out of pastries, but fortunately, there were few kinds left. I tried to make a quick purchase and leave, and then they gave us the bread for free. 😲 I could definitely see what the first reviewer meant by “ultra upbeat friendly atmosphere”. 💖 (photo: From the top, clockwise, I believe they are onion brie, chocolate coffee, and almond croissant.) All three were uniquely delicious. 😀 If I get the chance, I definitely want to come back and try other ones as well!

I work at a nearby wine bar and frequently visit on the weekend for coffee, fresh bread for the week or a sweet treat. It is their seasonal soup that has won my heart and is a must try! Chef Lindsay makes it with only the freshest ingredients and it is true heaven! The staff are super friendly to all and every once in a while I even find a surprise cookie in my to-go bag! I will return- every weekend. Cheers!

I went at 3 pm on a weekend. It was not busy. Good staff, good bread. I was able to spend a relaxing time.

So excited to see this place open. It's beautiful inside, and the food is great. But, the people there really make it special. I felt so welcome and appreciated, what a great experience. Also I have to rave about their coffee. I'm a liter or two a day self-confessed coffee junkie and when they handed me a small cup I was a little apprehensive but, I have to say I have never been so satisfied with an 8 oz cup of coffee as I was with theirs. Simply amazing. No hype, no pretense, just good service and great product.

New spot - amazing staff (shoutout to Beni!), tasty healthy food, coffee/espresso, and fresh baked goods. I, by habit, chose an espresso and almond croissant. I recently had an allergy test and learned that eating almonds and peanuts is making me sick :( --> Beni noticed my sad uneaten croissant and asked what was up. When I explained, he and his wonderful colleague delivered two perfect cookies (1. sea salt, oatmeal, pumpkin seed, & chocolate 2. rye+jelly) +Solid wifi, chill tunes, and nice tables with umbrellas outside. Props to the Rye Goods doing it right in DT Laguna. Support them so they can stick around with the high rents!
