Bakula Homestay is an amazing place to stay for the following reasons:- 1. Location is amidst lush greenery and the approach road is really nice 2. The property has a beautiful big stream with waterfall where one can play and spend a lot of time 3. The food is home cooked, fresh and authentic north karnataka style 4. The staff is extremely sweet, warm and welcoming 5. The owners are so helpful, humble and hospitable. They help you in every way possible and ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable 6. The rooms are big, clean and airy 7. The rates are very reasonable for the location and hospitality Overall, this was a delightful stay with family. We would highly recommend this place to everyone going to sirsi and places around.

He & his staff are very much attentive and caring... Mr Sudarshan personally looks after each and every guest and always proactive to help them to make their stay more comfortable and memorable. Rooms are very clean and hygienic. Most important food ,food was very much tastey and Amma serve it very lovelingly. There many more things which makes the stay memorable.I will not mention it purposely cause somethings must experienced..... I personally wish good luck to Mr. Sudarshan and his staff for future... Great location, really pleasant and clean nature stay, but the thing that makes this such a good place to visit and stay are the staff and the owner. Sudarshan the owner of this resort takes care of every small thing at their stay and provides all possible support. They are generous with their time and advice. This place is the nature treat to anyone who visits there , areca nut plantation, flowing rivers within the premises , individual home stay , common dining area, delicious veg food and the way everything is placed is really very close to the Nature. 4 of us had very memorable time there.

Great experience at the property, staff is homely and friendly.. food was ultimately good.. property has a forest stream flowing within, areca nut plantation provides a short nature walk inside the property..

I have been regular visitor and guest for this homestay.. really well maintained and good services . Peaceful location.. you can spend days. But one suggestion is Campfire shed is not good.. it looks artificial not natural.. better consider the request and make it open campfire 🔥..

I always prefer a traditional modest Homestay run by localite more than a posh luxury resort in malnad. So Bakula was perfect for us. Situated far away from the hustle bustle of the city, totally isolated and quiet. Other than the noise of the cicadas you don’t hear anything else. The areca plantations are a true treat to walk through early in the morning. They have a small stream in the backyard where they have tied ropes and I thoroughly enjoyed taking bath there. There are two cute dogs that demand you love them very much 😂 Mr. Hegde and Sudarshan are wonderful hosts. From entry till exit they were checking on us on all aspects, don’t miss their sight seeing suggestions and maps. Those maps are valuable as you will invariably lose GPS signal 😄 The appe saaru they served for dinner was unimaginably tasty. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to unwind in UK. The rates are so affordable and pocket friendly. One small suggestion would be the food can include more authentic uttara kannada cuisine (patrode, todadevu, tambuli, kotte kadbu, rave rotti, karakali),…. Appe Saar was the only thing we had.

I had a wonderful stay at Bakula homestay. The room was clean and comfortable with good food, and the host was very welcoming. I felt right at home during my entire visit.. would like to visit again

A true definition of keep it simple yet beautiful! So nicely maintained, extremely good food, river flows through the property. There is no mobile network and the way they helped us visit some of the nearby places by writing handmaps(which is so useful and you will thank them for this later!) shows how courteous they were. They come personally talk to each one of the guests and seek feedback. They are not on any booking sites yet and you should all try once before it gets crowded.

It is located in the midst of a forest, with a score of tourist places within 70km radius of the resort. A river flows through the property, where you can swim and splash around - it is safe. You can walk around the property for calmness and serenity. They have a swing, Aquarium and camp fire too. Only vegetarian food is served but it's so delicious that you won't crave for restaurant food. The owner and caretakers are polite, humble, helpful and caring. Worth every penny

Nice home stay with good chefs. Rooms were spacious with all amenities (though hot water was not available-in fact was not needed) excellent food.water body all round.Sonda Vaderahalli mutt is 25km away.Nice walking area.People can take bath in the river around.

Nice greenery. Stayed in the month of April. Good room. Nice estate view. There is a nearby river flow at 200 meters, has a nice forest view. Hospitality is good, nice vegetarian authentic food. They have many room options based on family members.

This is a cozy homestay just outside of Sirsi. It's a lovely property and individual cottages for guests. We traveled from Pune, the owners were very helpful and courteous. They personally showed us around the property and helped planning the sightseeing. The food is simple but delicious. Room is spacious. We had a little problem with hot water. Overall a very pleasant stay, highly recommended. Would love to go back.

This is one of the next homestays in the district. They provide excellent authentic vegetarian food. The rooms are well maintained. The homestay is amid lush greenery and plantations. Best part about it is the river and waterfall next to the rooms. You can play in the river water and enjoy your time in the homestay. Best place to stay for a relaxing vacation

This was our second visit to Bakula. The atmosphere is so relaxing, you can hear the river flowing from the room. My two kids enjoyed the stay. We got to taste the yummy local delicacies. The host is just awesome, kudos to you for being so friendly and understanding. Would surely love to visit again...

The location and the ambience was very nice with a well maintained rooms. The owner and the staff are very supportive and a natural water falls just behind the stay is awesome to play. Even they guide you with the route map for the surrounding places to be visited.

Just one word - EXCELLENT.. No second thought... One of the best and most beautiful homestay I have ever seen.. Green, lush, calm and very peaceful. Food was super delicious. Hospitality was great, sudarshan was very kind, also helped us to explore places near by which we were not aware of.. We would definitely visit this place as many times as possible.

We stayed in Bakula Homestay in Mar 2022 and had a wonderful experience. We were looking for a Homestay in the midst of nature and also that fits our needs as I am a super senior citizen with knee joint pain. Mr Sudarshan Hegde was very helpful through the reservation and provided us a cottage which had a smooth surface from car parking area to the cottage. The signboards ‘Bakula’ actually helped us to locate the homestay easily 😊. Cottages were well ventilated and bright. Interiors were clean and tidy. Food provided by Bhatji and his wife was very tasty and served with affection. Rajesh was very kind to provide all assistance and even helped with cleaning the car from Holi colors. Mr Sudarshan, Thank you for accommodating our special requests and making our stay economical as well. The map you provided for our way back was very useful and it helped us a lot to reach the main road through the interiors given the ongoing construction in Sirsi- Kumta road. We once again Thank you and your staff very much for making our stay in Sirsi pleasant and peaceful.

We had a good time visiting this homestay. They have spacious rooms. Veg food is prepared in the premises & non-veg food will be got from a nearby restaurant within 30mins. River flows within the property. We went as a family of 9 people & faced no challenges in stay. Google location is accurate.
