The worst meal of our Holiday. The first time I've been inclined to post a negative review of any restaurant. Greeted by smiley guy at the front of the restaurant who showed us to our table. Ordered drinks which came in good time. Good experience ended there. I ordered the rosemary lamb cutlets with minted yoghurt and sautéed potatoes (21 euros for the lamb and 4 euros for the sautéed potatoes). I was served lamb on a handful of chips and a bit of mint sauce (the photo says it all).When we enquired if we could have some yoghurt (as per the menu) the waitress seemed appalled at the request. 10 minutes later and half way through the meal we got the yoghurt. Lamb itself was OK but let down by the rest of the meal, All staff we saw except the guy on the front seem to not enjoy their job and the food/service demonstrated this. Had much nicer meals in benalmádena.

The worst restaurant I’ve ever tried in my entire life. Zero proper service. Rude staff. The food simply disgusting. Overpriced. Dirty glasses and forks. I left hungry, in other words. To the management: you might want to have a meal yourself there and experience the low quality meals you serve, and do something about it. You welcome.

One of the worst meals I’ve ever eaten, horrible service and terrible staff, not worth your money, time or effort. It took nearly 2 hours for food to come, eat anywhere else and you’ll definitely have a better experience. Staff were very rude and intimidating

We had a great evening and meal here at the La Laguna restaurant. The staff were delightful particularly Mounir couldn’t have been any more helpful. Really beautiful place in a fantastic area We did go a little late than usual, we arrived around 9pm, sixteen of us dinned with nothing but compliments with so many varied choices. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

I wish I had read the reviews first… the waiter was a lovely bloke, very friendly and bubbly. However, the food although it looked good. Was not… and the waiter didn’t return until after we’d eaten to ask if “everything was okay with our food” as places usually do. The burger, was supposed to be a peri peri chicken burger... but it definitely wasn’t. It just had a really hot spicy sauce on top. The chicken was ridiculously thin too, so all you could really taste was spicy sauce and bread. And there wasn’t nearly enough coleslaw, even that tiny pot wasn’t full. The pasta dish, my partner enjoyed, and said tasted nice. Until he got part way through and realised that more of the chicken was undercooked than cooked enough. So ended up leaving approx half his chicken chunks. And there wasn’t nearly enough chicken in the first place. This wasn’t a cheap meal either so left pretty disappointed.

If I was to point out all of the faults with this place I’d have a full novel written. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Mentioned my terrible experience to family and they instantly knew the “restaurant” I was speaking about as it turns out they had a similar experience there almost 10 years ago - and evidently from most of the negative reviews management and staff are still behaving in the same unprofessional manner playing the blame game with their paying customers! Terrible food, terrible service Served RAW CHICKEN on pizza and the manager tried to tell us it wasn’t raw or was okay to eat …. Carbonara came swimming in oil which if served to an Italian I’m sure they would throw back in their face! The toilets are a whole other story that should have been a major red flag from the start. I don’t even want to think how their kitchen is. This restaurant is an ideal candidate for Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen nightmares!!!! (If looking for a nice Italian restaurant experience head downstairs to Metro! You won’t be disappointed)

Dreadful service. Waiter was rude and not happy with us not ordering starters. Meal was very poor, chicken was tasteless and swimming in oil while the potato side was just a mystery. To add to the experience we were served flat cokes at €5.00 apiece. There are much better options in the marina so avoid in our opinion.

The dinner was delicious, the seafood paella was a world championship. Additionally, we ordered a jug of Sangria. We were delighted with the atmosphere, service and food. We will definitely come back. Sorry about the photo, but before we could take a photo, we couldn't stop ourselves from consuming it, it smelled so good.

I was charged €25.95 for a fillet steak, which was possibly 6ozs at max. When I questioned the waiter on this, I was told to not question him as I did, and if he had an issue with a restaurant he would just not come back to it. I will certainly not be returning to Laguna any time soon. A lesson in customer service and general good manners is what I would recommend for our waiter.

Run away...A restaurant which sells defrosted food for very high prices. A pity that the restaurant is located in a very nice spot which is spoiled by the quality of food. Not recommended.

Great experience here, 8 of us had dinner and everyone had a lovely meal. Staff were brilliant, nothing was a bother and all very friendly , making jokes and having fun with children. Will definitely be back!!

Paella was nice enough but nothing special. My partners fish was very good though. Guys out front are very persistent in getting people in.

Very eager to get you in… hurried another family to leave to get us a table.. don’t know why I didn’t see the red flag.. poor service, warm white wine served .. had to ask for it to be chilled.. server was rude and started speaking to a colleague mid order… Meals were served at different times.. half the menu wasn’t available when we were finally told they had zero chicken. t bone served with only Half the meat.. no fillet. Burgers served with no sauce… bad service… bad food… stay away at all costs. Zero value for money.

We had a terrible experience here for dinner tonight. We arrived at 08:45 and it was buzzing with a great atmosphere. We were seated and ordered food and drinks. Starters turned up quickly, but waited 30 mins for drinks. We then waited over an hour and a half for our food and another 30 mins for 2 drinks. When food finally arrived, the fillet steak was on a plate with a few fries. No grilled tomato as described in menu. We asked for it and it was brought separately. The paella was awful though. Burnt and mushy. We asked 2 members of staff to fetch the manager and he finally came and agreed the paella was badly prepared. He offered to re-cook our meals. We waited another 30 mins. Finally food arrived and the paella was swimming in grease. We are what we could. By this time it was 11:30. We’d had enough. Manager offered to take €9 off the €90 bill. We said that wasn’t good enough and he eventually removed the paella from the bill. It was such a shame, as we’re only here for a few days and we wasted an entire night in this restaurant. Terrible service. Terrible food. So upsetting.

Delicious seafood paella and mixed of grilled seafood , nice portion kid menu with burger and fries. friendly staff and great view " balcony"

We ordered a jug of sangria and a mixed paella for 2 and were pleased with the size and the quantity of meat/fish included. It was very tasty. The staff were friendly and nice.

The food and ambience were very good. The steak was cooked medium rare just as I asked and very tender. The vegetarian paella was terrific and a very generous portion. We all had a great evening and recommend you try. The service was excellent.

Beautiful clean and modern restaurant in the heart of benlamadina marina, the food is absolutely delicious, service is quick, staff are friendly, menu has something for everyone and reasonably priced! beautiful views of the water! We went twice during our holiday and would definitely come back again!

Had a family meal here yesterday, great variety on the menu. The food was delicious. Good sized portions. Definitely will be returning.

The food is always excellent, everything we have ordered leaves us very happy, it is worth highlighting the hummus, the best in Spain without a doubt! The chocolate cake is a delicacy!! The staff is very friendly, always with a smile and always makes you feel very good. 👏💯

Service is shocking they do not have a clue how go run the resturant. Left waiting ages on drinks or food requested. Sometimes we would be waiting ages just to get staffs attention. We had the meat platter which was tasty but basically just all thrown on a bit of paper with 2 sauces and chips... everything else was OK.
