So we found this place due to their incredible freakshakes on Instagram Location It's on the outskirts of the centre in a small arcade of shops. We found parking on the road fairly easy but can imagine that parking could be an issue. I would say overall it was easy to find and was located in a nice area. Interior This place is loved. It is very clear that the team take pride in their workspace. I found the cafe to be clean and the batista area is organised and often cleaned during the day. The decor is lovely and the toilets were well kept. The sign behind the counter is a very nice piece of interior design. Overall no complaints here Service Nice to see a small cafe with a healthy number of staff. I think they get very busy as there was a small army ready to serve. I found all interactions to be pleasant. I wouldn't say they went above and beyond but then again with our order of a freakshakes only it would have been strange for them to do anything which stood out at extraordinary. Food/drink We had the freakshake of the week which was Cadbury. Not going to lie, it was pure sugar and very indulgent. Just brilliant!! I will add that all the real food that they were serving to others looked great (even the toast and jam looked solid!) Price So I feel that this place is on the upper side of value, they are pushing it in terms of price but to be honest I would pay it again as the whole experience felt that little bit nicer than the ordinary cafe scene. What's an extra £1 or 2 for somewhere that you enjoy spending an hour or so! Overall If I lived closer I would pay this place a regular visit. I think it's a little gem in Bristols cafe scene.

For those not aware, this coffee house is now also an amazing Hong Kong style restaurant. It together with Great bunnies are the only HK style food in town. Milk tea is excellent and the food is yum. Yes its a haul from downtown but worth it if you want this style food.

Delicious food, especially the small plates (pepper tofu and gyoza were especially great) - really chilled, nice atmosphere and service was especially good excellent.

The decorations in this place all match the ‘beehive’ theme and it’s honestly beautiful. They have a vast variety of amazing beverages. I got a salted-caramel freakshake. The waiters are very kind. I love it here, definitely try if you’re in the area!

Beehive is a lovely cafe in Downend. We seemed to have arrived just at the right moment as a large queue formed waiting for tables after we sat down. I had a English breakfast and my daughter has a Nutella freakshake. Both reasonably priced and the fryup was also reasonably tasty. The milkshakes seemed to be the most popular here.

We came here after reading the reviews online and were certainly not disappointed. There were two tables outside but both were occupied so we opted for takeaways. Service was friendly, prices good and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The shake my daughter had looked very impressive! It'll be nice to return for breakfast when we can sit inside again.

Kids had Freakshakes and loved them, but the regular shakes and more health smoothies are really good too.

Went in with my friend as she recommended the place we ordered 2 milkshakes and they’re quite sweet so my friend asked for a glass of water so balance the flavours. The girl with black hair went into the kitchen and came back with a silver glass and literally threw it on the table and walked off. That completely ruined my mood and experience, that’s actually rude and there was absolutely no need for that. I will never come back to this place, i am a manager myself and this is absolutely disgusting and im so upset. Management should sort out employees attitude first.

A lovely cafe! Staff are friendly, the food comes out hot and quick too! I ordered a hummus and roasted veg panini and it was delicious! They have great alternatives for people with food allergies or dietary restrictions too. Would recommend :)

Had a lovely mug of tea and a very delicious jammie dodger slice, wow! Plenty of seating. Some parking outside or use the big car park behind Coop. No access issues. Reasonable prices, very friendly staff. Very clean and tidy.

I was attracted by the cute decorations. I ordered a cappuccino. Not the best for tasting authentic coffee. Nice environment and place for a chill afternoon.

Lovely coffee shop with a variety of options and lovely front of house staff! The atmosphere seemed to get bought down when what seems like the owner/manager joined the staff at the front desk and did not seem to be treating the young staff in a nice matter and made the environment seem quite hostile; not nice to see for a customer! Either way a nice experience for the food/drink and lovely young girls at the till :)

This is a little gem of a place, it's popularity tells you all you need to know. Out of this world food and milkshakes that take some beating, wholeheartedly recommended, if you're lucky enough to be able to get a table.

The freakshakes look spectacular and I have been wanting to try them for ages! Unfortunately we were disappointed, it became clear they use the cheapest ingredients possible as soon as I tasted the doughnut. Milkshake itself didn’t taste great either so it wasn’t just the case of the toppings on it. 2 stars for the ever so friendly staff!

Went primarily to treat the grandchildren. They loved the look of their freakshakes. Trying to finish them was a different matter. Way too sweet. NOT for the faint hearted! The vegan freakshake was enjoyed by my daughter. My brie and cranberry toastie was more like a warm jam sandwich, not what I expected at all. The service was excellent though, and everywhere very clean. But a bit overrated in my opinion and quite expensive.

Small local cafe offering very nice food and shakes. Unfortunately for us, we had to wait a bit too long for ours, as they seems to have forgotten our order. Could be a bit overwhelming if it happens to have loud company sitting on a table near by. If you can tolerate this, well worth a visit. If you can't - there's the take away option.

5 of us went here for my daughters birthday. I spent over £80 on snacks for lunch which included a jacket potato which was stale and tasted like it had been microwaved and cheese that was out of a grated packet. How can you get that wrong??? I wouldn’t go again.

As i am lactose intolerant i was pleased to find somewhere that offered a milk alternative. I ordered a caramel milkshake made with almond milk and a vegan cupcake. I don't know if a mistake was made and cows milk used but I have never felt so ill in all my life and i was still in pain when I returned ti Coventry later that day.

Lovely spot, amazing food very well made coffee and some really unique yet subtle decor that adds just enough character without being top over the top.

What a fab place. Haven't been in for a while but came in with my little girl and my mum this morning and we had a lovely time. Great chilled atmosphere and all staff super friendly and helpful. It must be tough with all the extra covid precautions but they dealt with it all great. Food and drinks were lovely and would definitely recommend. Many thanks

Had always wanted to try this place. Freak shake was amazing! Unfortunately cakes looked SO good, but we’d bought 2 slices in our group and they weren’t as nice as they looked. Such a shame!! Food did look really good but not something we could comment on!

Nice pleasant clean and open cafe with tables inside and outside. Great service from the staff. We had couple of ham and salad panninis, very nice and tasty good sized portions.

AVOID!!!!! THIS BUSINESS HAS A 1 STAR HEALTH RATING! I am local to the beehive and have been a few times, the last time I went I got terribly sick but didn’t think too much of it, but when I went to check the food hygiene rating I realised it’s now on a 1 star!! This place is very popular and it is extremely dangerous to still be open to the public!

Cafe by day, Japanese restaurant by night. Me and my other half stopped in for dinner and tried a selection of 6 different small satellite plates and a main each. I'd like to be able to recommend a dish to try. However we whole heartedly enjoyed every morsel of every dish we tried. Not a single miss. Absolutely tremendous. The waitress also spent a fruitless five minutes trying to teach us the delicacies of the judicious application of chopsticks. I'm happy to report they have a supply of backup forks. Will certainly return
