Considering I have been working here delivering the fibre network this is the first time I have been to the shopping centre. It is very comprehensive! I wouldn't be wrong saying you could probably get everything you needed from this one place. I was quite impressed by the layout and capacity considering it isn't a huge area. Very well laid out. And easy to access. It also has a bus stop right on its doorstep if you use public transport, I did see a bus labeled y6 if that helps. Worth a visit 100%, they have done a cracking job.

Probably one of the nicest shopping centres I've been to. Nicer in the sense they've all the regular High St shops that have closed down in many places. Pretty much a shop.for everything you might need.

Yate shopping centre is a great 1960s design and has an excellent mixture of retailers large and small. Its off-set cruciform layout and size means it is easy to navigate and just large enough without being a 'trudge' to walk around. It has a great set of public toilets, a rarity these days, and plenty of free parking. It's always worth a trip out to any time of year. Highly recommended.

Friendly, bustling shopping centre, lots of cafes and places to eat, easy free parking. At Christmas the parking gets filled up fast so go early. Tescos is less busy about 7.00 pm

Because its hot a friendly feel. Love the way that Boswells clients can drink coffee and chat safely, outside the store, under the canvas sail. The shopping centre is so well marked and signposted by friendly security people, keeping is safe and socially distanced. Thank you to all those who've worked so hard to keep us all safe. Respect! ?

A big Tesco. The rest is an interesting and large hodge-podge of shops where bargains are to be had. You can park free up to four hours The most organized place to park is in the covered section. The rest is very big and pretty random - rather like a post-WW2 hospital that's sprawled piecemeal onto adjoining land, so make sure you remember where you parked.

There is always something going on. Love the "beach sand pit " for the toddlers & kids - gives mums a chance to relax & chat to others mums there. A good variety of shops & great fresh fruit & veggie market.

  • 4/5 Kelly R. 2 years ago on Google
Great little shopping centre. I can usually get everything I need here, without having to visit the major shopping centres such as Cabot Circus or Cribbs. Parking is always available in one of the surrounding car parks. There is also a good range of coffee shops and eateries. It is well kept and managed and has some good family friendly events at different times of year.

  • 5/5 Sharon M. 2 years ago on Google
Love Yate shopping centre. Has a good mix of shops. Seen quite a few changes over the years. But I still like going there to shop.

Partly covered, so you're protected against the elements. Good selection of shops & cafés and free parking for upto 4 hrs.

  • 4/5 A P. 2 years ago on Google
Good selection of shops, leisure centre, soft play, cinema and cafes. Wish I could give half stars as it's not as good as it used to be as loads of shops closed down.

  • 5/5 Sharon S. 2 years ago on Google
Loved the shopping here, laid out very well, good selection of shops for all tastes, some great bargains at the quality charity shops. Lovely selection of places to eat. Very friendly staff in the shops.

  • 4/5 Andrew T. 2 years ago on Google
Yate is pretty good and most things can be got here. However, the drive toward online retailers means quite a few empty shops and quite a lot of charity shops. If you visit Miss Millie's check you get what you ordered before you leave. Miss Millie's chicken is lovely and most branches there is no problem getting what you want, but in the Yate branch you so infrequently get what you asked for that we have taken to calling it 'the lucky dip shop'. Probably not much of a problem for most people, but in our family we have 2 vegetarians, so when they end up with chicken instead of halloumi it isn't great!

  • 5/5 Emma L. 1 year ago on Google
It depends what shops you want, charity shops chemist home barging etc.... if you just want a chemist avoided, always packed

  • 5/5 Abbey T. 2 years ago on Google
Lots of shops, a good variety. Easy parking and free in most areas. A cinema, leisure centre, cafe's and pubs. All in walking distance. Diverse and generally a good place to shop. Summer sometimes see a large sand pit in the middle of the shopping precinct. father Christmas is there in December. Most holidays there's always been something going on. Definitely worth a visit..

  • 4/5 Adrian T. 1 year ago on Google
1960s shopping precinct but it has moved with the times as vest it can. Great selection of cafes. Good selection of shops. Plenty of benches to sit on and rest. Always got events going on, currently have a beach in the centre square next to Boswells. Tons of parking, no access issues.

  • 5/5 Dawn H. 1 year ago on Google
Love you Yate. Only went to sort out my council tax. Came back with 2 bags of shopping including new shoes (and ordered boots) from the very helpful ladies in Shoe Zone and a gorgeous new outfit from Quest. 😁

  • 5/5 Caroline H. 1 year ago on Google
Good selection of shops and a visiting beach for the summer is great although popular shops have closed they've been filled with shops more suited for a larger mall. Market is good and more stalls arriving

  • 4/5 Carol D. 1 year ago on Google
A nice variety of shops available. Several coffee and eating places, free parking, Easy use for disabled. Supermarket, Tescos, with Morrison across the road.

  • 5/5 Gregory W. 1 year ago on Google
During the day Yate is a wonderful all in one shopping and leisure delight. You can buy dinner, go swimming and seek medical advice for minor injuries all in one place. But as the sun goes down the youths of South Glos emerge and the atmosphere changes to that of an anti social dystopia. Delightful during the day, deadly by night.

Lots of clothing shops for women, two great supermarkets, Tescos and Morrisons. Need more cashiers in both though. Left my full basket in tescos, not prepared to wait in large queues for an hour to pay for groceries. Need separate cashier for clothing and home goods, and cashier for baskets, 10 items or less. Step it up please Tescos, or I will shop more in Mark's & Spencers and Iceland.

  • 4/5 Eloise C. 1 year ago on Google
Good variety of shops, market is brilliant, frequent events, tidy and well maintained. Only issue is parking particularly on weekends. There’s just not enough to meet the need.

  • 4/5 Lee Noble (The Lee Noble E. 1 year ago on Google
Very busy on weekends, as you'd expect, but plenty of shops still open, despite the crisis. Mark's meat van is often down by the McDonald's, with plenty of great deals, and lots of shops offering good bargains. Parking is free, which is the biggest reason to come here. Everywhere else wants to milk you, but here it's free.

  • 5/5 Sarah M. 1 year ago on Google
Nice place, especially love the community feel with the library and leisure centre so close to all the shops. Plenty of places to eat and even cinema too now. Would like to see more interesting/international shops and food places in the future, but its definitely already a very handy shopping centre.

  • 5/5 Quintin Hardus de B. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely centre, has most everything you need. They do lovely community focused events in their center courtyard, Christmas is always a buzz with Santa's Grotto, in summer they do a sandpit. It's all good!

  • 5/5 Deborah S. 1 year ago on Google
Went for Christmas shopping, first time in years. Great selection of shops and many bargains found. Santa was in town and it was very festive. Shops not too crowded either. Free parking.

  • 5/5 Sarah 1 year ago on Google
Great shopping centre, most shops are occupied and they have a good range of different shops. The shops are laid out nicely which is great for browsing and there is plenty of seating and places to eat.

  • 1/5 Kez 1 year ago on Google
Go careful when going there twice in one day! My husband just got a letter fine from the people who monitor the in and out cameras (highview parking) because he dropped me off for work, then 6 hours later picked me up! It says he stayed there for 6 hours!!! Unreliable and untrustworthy.

  • 5/5 Cristina M. 1 year ago on Google
Easy to park and lots of shops. Very nice shopping centre for all the family, specially when they have activities for kids.

  • 5/5 Amy H. 1 year ago on Google

Small shopping complex with a swimming and sports centre. Has a large Tesco, Morrisons, marks Spencer food Hall. Also, has discount shops, Iceland, boots, charity shops, post office and small clothing stores. Small cafes as well as fast food shops and a weatherspoons. The complex is split with stores like Tk max and pets at home as well as other known stores situated within walking distance of main complex. Plenty of parking with an attached petrol station.

  • 4/5 Jo E. 1 year ago on Google

  • 5/5 Joris H. 10 months ago on Google
Yate shopping centre is such a convenient place. It has a bunch of places to eat out in and has a lot of great places to go grocery shopping, clothes shopping or even jewellery shopping. It's all on the ground floor with 0 steps so great for people who use wheelchairs. Very convenient place for all the small living spaces around north east of bristol.

  • 4/5 Paul G M. 11 months ago on Google
Great Tesco Extra albeit rather crammed into a smallish site. Plenty of parking but again all was very tightly packed in. Go by all means but be careful when driving the busy narrow roads on site!

  • 4/5 Yvette S. 10 months ago on Google
Just went to dentist, however mum's and little ones looked like they were having fun on the big sand pit

  • 4/5 Lea V. 10 months ago on Google
Yate, is always a great place to come when we visit Bristol. A wide range of shops, and a good selection of charity shops. There is always something for the children to do in the middle of the centre, last time we visited there was a sand pit, big enough for atleast 30+ children. Across, the road there is a Tkmaxx, Next too.

  • 4/5 Hannah W. 10 months ago on Google
Bit patchy but it's starting to get a better variety of shops and is well looked after - great flower baskets

First time visiting the shopping centre. Ended up receiving a parking fine (£100) a few weeks later for staying in the car park in the morning and coming back later to pick up a few items from the shops.

  • 4/5 Caden S. 8 months ago on Google
There are a range of shops including a few charity shops which are always worth a browse around. Plenty of parking around about, and a number of BUS services which "terminate" (or at least "long stop") by the Tesco Extra, making it quite accessible. (Bus riders should re-confirm their _return trip_ options before going!)

  • 5/5 Richie R. 8 months ago on Google
Even has its own large sand pit for the children to play in with a punch and judy show to keep them entertained .

  • 3/5 Valerie T. 9 months ago on Google
This shopping centre is showing it's age and are missing some big players. It would be great if the whole centre could be revemaped and to attract more interesting retailers.

  • 3/5 John H. 8 months ago on Google
Plenty of all brand shops along with a great open air vegetable market with fresh local produce - strawberries excellent value.

  • 5/5 Gary C. 7 months ago on Google
The best place to shop, its undercover so no need to worry about rain. Plenty of shops and coffee places to drink and eat. This shopping centre does not have a John Lewis or Waitrose but has a M & S Food outlet. All the usual banks. Plenty of places to park.

  • 3/5 Sally K. 5 months ago on Google
So much potential but alot of shops have left over the past couple of years. Some nice charity shops and a couple of independent shops. Needs more trendier clothes shops for youngsters. Tesco is a nice big store.

I bring my children here to the giant sandpit in summer, to buy school shoes at Clarks for September and to see Father Christmas in December. Otherwise I tend to shop here alone. There's a fantastic range of shops and places to get a well-deserved coffee.

I love this shopping centre, a wide range of stores, cafes, post office, banks, super markets, it's got it all.

  • 4/5 Megan A. 6 months ago on Google
Beautiful shopping centre, only assistance dogs allowed and while there are sign, they are not obvious and the security staff are inside the centre not at the entrances, if there was a fine, I would have had to pay, even though it was not obvious 😔

Lovely little shopping centre where they always seem to put little extra goings on to provided a good public service. Christmas is always made a special time, great for the kids. Plenty of free parking though sometimes it is popular and busy. A must visit any time of the year.
