I went there for a meal with my friends as location was very convenient for all of us. I ordered a salad from the main menu for a starter and I got very confused when the dish arrived, it was a combination of caprese salad with a pile of leaves on the middle with shredded carrot on the top and two tiny black olives. There was no dressing or taste in it. My main dish was supposed to be cannelloni and I got a plate with a lots of sauce and three pasta pieces that tasted very strange and I presume I was served leftovers. There was no safety measures kept in the restaurant. None of the staff was wearing a mask and the place was packed. We didn't feel comfortable, left soon and I don't think I will ever come back

Nice atmosphere, went in a week before planned meal to inform of allergies and menu choice. On the day of meal, was informed that the side of chips was fried in fish oil, I was not given another choice for a starter, not even an apology, my pizza came out with no pineapple just mushrooms and when it was redone it was dry and hard, and when ordering was told can order sorbet on the night. I wanted to order raspberry sorbet but was told that they only have gin and tonic sorbet! When the bill came I was double charged for the pizza when the mistake was made on the staff's side and charged for chips which I didn't have due to them fried in fish oil 🤢, the best part of the meal was the drink, I will not be going here any time soon.

Family celebration for my grandsons birthday food was very good. Although the menu has been reduced still plenty of selection for children and adults alike. Will definitely go there again.

Went here for a Xmas lunch celebration with family. They forgot to get some of our drinks for a good half an hour or so then missed some items off the food order. Food was nice but not amazing, I had the spaghetti marinara which mainly just had mussels, the "prawns" were absolutely tiny, smaller than a 5pence and there was hardly any, also the tuna pretty much disappeared into the sauce. Still tasty enough and the kids enjoyed their meals. Staff were generally very friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. Prices were expensive for what you get.

My family and I have been regulars at this restaurant since it opened. Probably visit once or twice a month, minimum. It all that time, not one bad meal. It fact every time it’s been great. I usually have Penne Arabiata. Omelettes are awesome too. Staff are always friendly and prices are very reasonable. We’ve had multiple large parties here over the years too with up to 50 people. All handled perfectly.

What a lovely meal I had with my family tonight, our first meal eating out since lockdown. It was a very relaxed atmosphere whilst abiding to social distance. Meal was great has always, staff wonderful. Glad to see you all again. Thank you

There is nothing to fault about Bottegino's. The team are fantastic, and the food is so tasty.

Nice and clean, plenty of hand sanitizer, lovely friendly staff, nice tall Polish waiter nice and friendly had a bit of banter with my friend Gwyn. Most important pizza was very tasty and extremely big 😋 👌

We initially had booked a table for four, but with two hours to go, we had two more adults, and a toddler (high chair needed), asking if the could join us. Phoned them, and spoke to John, who was very accommodating, and knew it was a birthday celebration. On arrival, we received a friendly greeting from the staff, and sat and had a drink, before being seated at our table. We were served very efficiently, and the food was excellent, finished off with the staff, bringing out ice cream and a candle, and singing Happy Birthday to my stepson. Fantastic service from John and the team - thank you so much - we will be back!!

Family friendly and very good food.

Lovely welcoming greeting when we arrived and felt comfortable for our time there over the meal and afterwards when we went outside for drinks because it was a lovely summer night. The service was efficient and the meals were a good size and nice. Enjoyed the massive cocktails!! It's a nice, family friendly venue, and good to get an Uber from if you live in town!

Decent pizza place, got a set menu with about 5/6 pizzas, pasta dishes and deserts. Set price depending on how many courses you want. Very family oriented and it seems family run too. For the price you can't go wrong.

Delicious food, very generous portions and reasonable prices. Staff very friendly, prompt service. Only thing I fault is the toilet seats in the ladies were all broken

Came for my Dad's 60th birthday meal, the food was amazing with plenty of choice catering for vegans and gluten free too. Great atmosphere and friendly attentive staff will definitely come again!

What a fantastic pizza! Surely the best in East Bristol (if not the whole city). Staff were fantastic too, definitely worth checking out.

It is a shame that this doesn't taste like traditional Italian food anymore. Everything should be fresh but definitely not how the restaurant was 15 years ago. There are better traditional Italian restaurants with fresh Italian food in Bristol, in my opinion. It was just OK.

1st time eating at botteginos, the restaurant was full,the atmosphere was very good, the service by the girls was fantastic, food came out at the same time, it was hot, delicious, and very good portions too. And the price was very reasonable. Deffo coming back.

Went here with my girlfriend tonight and had a pretty nice meal. The food is genuinely pretty good (maybe a tad too expensive) but we had a great time. During the meal, a Christmas float came past outside. It really boosted the evening and was lovely to see, they were collecting the hospital. The kids around us loved it and rushed outside. The restaurant is lacking a bit in atmosphere so this whole experience improved the evening. There were a few people from the hospital that came in and were asking the staff if they could make a donations. I know that the family that run the restaurant are very well off so the fact they removed the hospital staff was very stingy. Actually very confused as to what they're doing this with this. Maybe the restaurant need to start helping people, especially after covid and especially during this time of year. Disappointed and really wish I had taken my money elsewhere!!

Pizzas were fine but one of the pizzas lacked the extra we ordered. Overall price was £65 for 4 pizzas, a coke and a large red glass of wine. Being seated in the centre of the restaurant can feel uncomfortable and the noise level can be very loud. Plenty of parking in the retail park behind the restaurant.

Had a fabulous meal celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday today service was exceptional, staff so welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food Thank you for looking after all 17 of us. Emily loved her cake and having happy birthday sang to.her! Thank you.

Great place if you book early you won't be disappointed. Huge portions with option to take a leftovers away in a box, friendly staff , reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. We were in on a Sunday lunchtime and there were at least 2 birthday and a significant year anniversary parties in. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday, without the ' happy birthday ' being played and cake presented, as she doesn't like a fuss, but there were what looked like couples and groups of friends too, so a real mixture in. It was busy but staff were attentive and passing often enough that plates weren't being left for ages to be picked up, but we also we were never rushed. All the food seemed fresh and really tasty, wasn't our first visit and we'll be back again soon! Thank you!

I had dinner with my family and a friend. Not too hungry, so we just ordered 3 dishes and shared. We still ended up very full. Great food and drinks. The waiters and waitresses were very helpful and patient since we took a bit of time to decide what to pick from the menu.

Horrible food and service rubbish dont waste your money

Went to Bottegino's for a recent family meal. We were all a little apprehensive beforehand because of Covid, but we were made to feel safe and comfortable, their social distancing was good and they followed the government guidelines fully. The food also lived up to Bottegino's high standard as always, was such a great experience!!!

Quick service, food was okay, meatballs are bland but the starters was better.

Food was really good. Great health & safety procedures in place due to current circumstances. Really great staff who made sure nothing was too much trouble.

Was good on the whole. Food was fine, though some portions a little small for the price. (My meatball starter had 2 meatballs) But to be fair I was full enough when I finished my main course. Then we were asked if we'd like desert menus and said yes... So we waited and waited... Then I had to grab another waiter to get one! Getting the bill was not so fast either... So only giving 3 stars when it could have been 5.

First meal out since covid lockdown, Botteginos was amazing, the staff took us to the hand cleaning table, we booked our order online as the menu is understandably reduced due to the distancing of tables,but we were not disappointed with the food , as always lovely and the staff still as friendly and welcoming as always ,we will return very soon, thank you Botteginos for making our visit stressless

Service was quick and our waitress was very nice. Food was only average though, but at least it was hot.

Service was very attentive, food was good quality and portion size. Nice atmosphere and most tables occupied. Only criticism was that they bring out the main too quickly after the starter.

Food is good but, you get what you pay for. Service is good and the staff are friendly. The atmosphere is okay but, I've only been there during the day. It has an upper mezzanine level that's looked great but it is not open in the day. There is an extensive menu that I cannot completely comment on.

This was quite possibly the worst meal out we have ever had. Firstly, we had made a reservation (with email confirmation) yet the restaurant had no record of our booking. After being seated, we were immediately asked if we wanted to order drinks. After ordering some drinks, we were asked again if we wanted to order some drinks. This was a theme of the evening - after ordering dessert, we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu! When ordering extra drinks, the waitress asked if we knew our table number. Surely, this is their job?! Another waitress dropped a bottle of cider right next to our table. Accidents happen, yet blue roll was left on our table while they cleaned up the incident, and not removed afterwards. The food had absolutely no flavour, and the tiramisu could have easily been cardboard soaked in instant coffee. When paying our bill, the waitress asked if we wanted to include the optional tip and asked how our meal was. We declined and informed her that we were disappointed with our meal; she replied that we were not the first of the night to complain. Overall, we would definitely not recommend Bottegino's. It is overpriced for the quality of the food. In defence of the waiting staff, this is probably a management issue. Yet we will not be returning = there are many other restaurants in Bristol worth visiting, but sadly Bottegino's is not one of them.
