Conveniently located right in the middle of the Yate shopping centre and able to make use of the large free car park nearby this is a great little pit stop. Favourites of mine include the all day breakfast and lasagne. Others I have visited with like the bacon baguette, cheesy chilli nachos and cheesy chilli chips. Lots of tables inside and about 8 tables outside (but under cover of a large canopy)of which 4 are for smokers. I recall one year (many years ago now) that this was the only place where staff made it in when it snowed heavily. Great that it’s staffed by locals and therefore always friendly and open!

Lovely food, well priced and large menu choices. Quite loud inside but lots of seats to choose from. Only reason it's got 4 stars is one member of staff was a little rude, but all the rest were lovely.

Always friendly staff in Yate no matter what time you are in here. Good selection of cakes, prices in line with all the others. Good size drinks, ideal place to go after shopping and good wheelchair access.

I was there last weekend. As naturally, the place was full of people inside (it was on Sunday morning). With all, the staff was very friendly and the food was so tasty, specially our cheese chips. We'll come back soon.

Cheapish and possibly cheerful but as l was with my friend (Warning now) namecheck inbound👍..........the singer Jessie,check her out😉😊 l was more interested in the conversation.Anyway! the coffee was drinkable,can't say that about everywhere,a very extensive menu,looks very clean and well run.l have been before,will go again,my only concern is it's definitely a place to visit with a friend not alone.l saw many happy or at least contented patrons enjoying their lattes or whatever but no singles,maybe a bit too expansive and pen for singletons.Only my opinion,as with other places l visit.......give it a go and enjoy.

Nice food, nice staff. Awkward to get bathrooms as it's a small corridor and takes alot of shuffling with prams, wheelchairs and staff also staff using the same corridor to take plates out.

I stop quite often into Boswell's when I'm in Yate. It's got a little something for everyone and it's a good standard. Reasonable pricing and there's normally always a seat when I go.

Nice enough coffee shop in a busy shopping precinct, cakes and food etc. The problem is the coffee. Last time I was here, it was acrid and burnt, tasted like rubber, coffee remade, still awful. Condescending kid serving "would you like a less strong coffee?" Zero clue.

I was asked what food I wanted as soon as I got in the door. I wanted a hot drink and cake but the cake was to far away for me to see so I couldn't order until I got nearer. Service was a little slow but it was lunchtime.

Food was a bit average, sandwiches were just heated up from sitting in the display cabinet and the salad was bland. Drinks were ok and service was friendly. Very little to no dairy free options which was disappointing

Went for breakfast with my parents and my 5 year old. Staff are incredibly friendly, the place is clean and the food is such good quality and cooked to order at a reasonable price.

We had the best sausage and mushroom sandwich I’ve ever eaten here this morning. Fabulous service, lots of seating (although it can be noisy lunchtime) and good value. I must do it more often!

Bit dated now, food so so service can be very slow at peak times but most of the workers have a sense of humour, sometimes feel they need it.

All day breakfast was just the ticket after a morning in the minor injuries unit. Don't eat or drink before your appointment. Definately needed a feed afterwards.

Fab foodie gem in Yate, love the jacket potatoes and coronation chicken. It gets busy especially now the beach (which is great) is open. Jaz is the best staff member around. Pay them more please as they have to put up with awful customers sometimes.

I come here on a regular basis for breakfast and am always really happy with the food - very fresh and well cooked and very reasonably priced. The staff are always happy and friendly and really helpful. The seating area is always very clean and tables are quickly cleared after each customer. Very happy to keep returning ☺️

The smarmy rude comments for Emma was not what I expected on a Sunday morning. Very bad customer service from this particular member of staff. Telling me to move out her way, chucking down her table numbers till it hits the floor, then doesn’t pick it up and storms off. To then the sarcastic digs about did I not see the big window , order from the big window. Just plain simple rude! Not impressed

I went in to the Yate Boswells for a takeaway drink with my mum. Then women called Emma didn’t even make it eye contact with us and hen ordering all her hair was down all over he face. She even said to my mum that she couldn’t have a lemonade as they run out but Another customer had one! Then she said I can’t have the fish and chips which I like before I do an evening shift. She was so rude!! Then I asked for mr discount as I work on the shopping centre! Belero and she said that she as on the shopping centre!! I really think you need to get better staff and it’s manners, I’m appalled with this service I’m usually a regular but never again! When Emma hair was down she was dealing with food basic Hygiene to keep up absolutely disgusting

Not the cheapest place to eat but the food is good and generous portions so good value overall. Staff were very friendly & helpful and food delivered to the table. Well worth another visit.

Always a pleasure to visit Boswells. It can get very busy at lunchtime but it's well worth a visit. The food is fresh and there's a great choice. The prawn jacket potato is especially good as is their hot baguettes. The staff are helpful and even if there is a queue they are usually very quick and organised. Hygiene is also excellent and there are toilet and baby changing facilities.

We love the cheesy chips and the chocolate bar milkshakes are heavenly! Recommended definitely 😁

Lovely lunch today taking my elderly nan for the first time. My nan loved the comfy chairs. Food was great and we were served by friendly staff especially Charlie.

I ordered frappe caramel today and it was the first and last time. Unfortunately it was a bad experience,I should have ordered a punch of sugar instead, it was very sweet.(the should write sugary drinks) I couldn't drink it, it goes to the bin😞

Qued up for over 5 mins at the takeaway window, ignored by 3 members of staff, almost walked away but a supervisor Hayley came to ask if I needed anything. She was lovely, more than I can say for the other 3!!!

Ordered 2 different coffees and we had these under the temporary awning which worked well for social distancing. Coffee was great and got the Eat out to help out discount too as a bonus.

Great staff, food and service but the coffee was luke warm (latte mug). Even if you ask for it hot it’s no different. A real shame because otherwise it’s a great place.

Brilliant place..love coming here. The food is always fresh and quick to arrive and the staff are so happy a d polite. Whether I come with my mum or my husband, we're always greeted with hello and enjoy a nice break in very clean surroundings. Boswell's is a nice Cafe. It is clean, the service is prompt and the majority of staff are lovely. Where I am marking it down is 2 areas, price and range of products. The price of the food products is high and isn't necessarily representative of the standard. The range of products is very poor for those on a vegetarian or vegan diet, I'd like to see a lot more alternatives to meat based products.

I can recommend the filled potato skins, good price and fills that energy hole nicely. Quick and efficient, even when crowded.
