First time for me at the falcon steakhouse and it will definitely not be the last. Perfect atmosphere and great service from the staff. Me and my partner shared a chateaubriand each picking 3 sides to accompany the meal. Wow, unbelievable truly an amazing steak. There was also a trio of desserts that we shared. This isn't the cheapest of places but the quality and the experience as a whole makes it well worth a visit. Booking a table is definitely recommended though.

This was our first visit here and definitely not the last, the food and the service were absolutely faultless and so very tasty. The sharing platter was enough for the two of us, and the 20oz chateaubriand was just amazing, and we will absolutely be back to try some more.

Booked for the lunchtime burger deals. What can I say, absolutely superb. The hospitality and atmosphere of The Falcon is second to none and the food quality is outstanding. I'm pleased to report this was the nicest meal out I have had since the pandemic. Well done to all the team.

Never have I been happier to have the excuse of eating for two.. because oh my, the portion sizes. Yes it’s pricey but you sure get your monies worth, not only in quantity but in quality. The food was absolutely fantastic, even though I had to have my fillet steak well done due to being pregnant (which they were more than happy to accommodate, lots of places turn their noses up at this request) my husband had a medium rare fillet steak which looked beautiful. The chips were also delicious. Now, the desserts.. perfection, maybe the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve had in a restaurant. Get yourself booked in because they’re very busy even on a Monday night in a cost of living crisis!

Lovely place and friendly staff. Food was delicious, only thing I didn't like was the onion rings, just tasted like oil which was a shame. Everything else was perfect including my steak. Must recommend the sharing platter!

Everyone says, "oh I love the Falcon" whenever I've said I wanted to go. Now I am one of those people. The 12oz fillet steak was soft, velvety and delicious, cooked to absolute perfection. All my sides were as equally delicious and complemented the steak very well, none of the meal needed any seasoning. Couldn't get a pic of the the starter platter for 2 (really, really good), as we demolished it within minutes because we were too hungry. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, friendly staff, nice and clean, just go already!

I booked a table for 2 for Saturday lunchtime. The meat with mushroom sauce was excellent (they have a well-deserved quality award), as the rest of the food we ordered as well. I loved the dessert i had, chocolate cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. We will eat here again when we have a family event, for sure our family will love it.

Wow, what great food we had here! There were 5 of us seasoned steak consumers. Well catered for with a selection of steaks to share. All superbly cooked. The ribeye was sensational. We all very much enjoyed our time here

Really lovely traditional building, nice bar to wait in with a drink and a proper homely feel. The service was excellent in both the bar and restaurant but the star of the show was the food! We had the chateaubriand for 3 which came with starters (the Brie bites were delicious!), sides (highly recommend the onion rings and any of the chips/fries), sauces (we tried them all - Stilton was the best but the others all close contenders for 2nd place!) and dessert (again, all delicious!). The steak was cooked and presented beautifully - despite the absolute mountain of food that came out we left with empty plates! Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and hope we’ll get back one day!

Well this is a really lovely place, Staff friendly and helpful and atmosphere is lovely, fully booked all day, if you get there bit early there is a bar to sit in till table is ready, the food is absolutely fantastic, first place in Gloucestershire that can do the perfect medium/well steak 🥩.. There isn't a carpark but plenty of parking around the streets and two carparks nearby, this is situated in Wootton under Edge near Dursley and Tetbury whichever way you go it's so lovely, The town itself is nice with various shops.. Definitely be going back again and recommend for sure, a lovely place to stop for just a drink or both food and drink

Lovely cooked steak and great service, would have been even better if a more exciting option was in Box A, but not a biggie. Auto add service charge which is annoying when poor service but it wasn’t so we topped that up to 15%. will be coming back for sure.

Visited to have a private dinner. Seemed nice and price seemed ok, but the portions were very small and not cooked as I liked even though I asked. Otherwise just a local feel.

When I booked I was told we had 2 hours and we would have to free up the table. This was fine. We were 15minutes late arriving as we did not realise that there is not a car park and we had to find somewhere to park. When we arrived we were greeted with ‘you are 15mins late and you will still need to vacate table at original time. ‘On the table it is marked with when the next people are arriving. Looking around there were other tables that did not have more than 1 sitting. I then heard the staff saying they expected to leave early that night. It was my birthday , instead of enjoying it I just kept looking at my watch to make sure we were not late leaving. The steak was lovely and I suspect it can be guaranteed to be, but not so sure about the welcome. We finished our meal on time but felt we were rushed and no body came for our table or for any of the others even after we had got our coats on.An expensive meal to not enjoy the night and I cannot get my birthday back.

Fantastic Steakhouse. We’ve been twice and each time the steaks are so lovely. I have mine medium to well and it is always nice and tender and succulent with flavour. Staff are lovely. We also love going there as we are not parents after 5:45 there are no children under the age of 12 very rare to find somewhere without children running around and no loud music. Great Food and can have a conversation.

£29 for a 10oz rib eye with peppercorn sauce and chips is very expensive seeing that I can get a better cooked steak in Wales, for £10 less. I was more frustrated at the tatty decor and wait for it, a service charge on top. I can only surmise that the customers around the pub haven't had a steak in the Usk Valley.

We have just enjoyed an excellent steak meal at our favourite steakhouse! We have been visiting for many years and have never had a bad meal - everything has been great. The staff always happy & cheerful. Unfortunately we are moving from the area to the depths of Essex so may not be able to visit again, but as they say “never say never”! Wow - how a steakhouse should be! Delicious food (12 oz fillet for me) with a generous portion of garlic butter - I couldn't stop pinching my wife's chips that she had with the 'best burger ever'. Combine this with polite, friendly, knowledgeable staff - just perfect - thankyou - 'we'll be back.

Amazing food! This was my first time here and it did not disappoint. We both had steaks cooked perfectly and fantastic puddings too! The staff are professional and polite. Will definitely be returning, just make sure you book as it’s very busy 👍🏼

Excellent steakhouse. We had 2x 12oz fillet steaks, 1x medium rare cooked to perfection and 1x well done cooked perfectly too, even the well done steak was still soft and tender. Really good deserts too with large portions.

What a wonderful recommendation. We were celebrating my birthday. We had great service all round. We were given a warm welcome and we relaxed in calm atmosphere. The food was delicious and if your brave a delight of puddings with an option to take away for the beaten. Highly recommend advance booking, which can be done online.

This place is 10 out of 10. I had recently just proposed to my fiance that night, and we came to the falcon for dinner. The atmosphere was amazing the food was unreal and the staff were so attentive and kind. One of the best steakhouses in the country by far.

Wow! They said its the best steak in the Cotswolds. Its quite probably the best steak I've ever eaten, and I've had many around the world. It may even be the best MEAL I've ever had. This was an outstanding birthday treat, we enjoyed all the food, THE BEST steak, perfect fries, that garlic butter, the staff are lovely and there is still so much to try. Very sadly I live near by so there goes all my wages. Thank you for the truly wonderful experience, it was noted also its probably the longest I've ever been silent in 46 years!! We'll be back for more asap and are still boring everyone we meet with the details a week later. Delicious has never meant so much. I need a dipster in my life....... The desserts are also to die for.....sorry I tucked in before the photo 😬 Locally sourced too! Book now.......but leave a table for me!

We had 2 X sharing Chateaubriand 'deal' which includes 2 starters, 4 sides, 2 sauces and 2 desserts for £99 per couple. Everything from start to finish was absolutely delicious and it's safe to say that we all felt like we needed to be rolled out of the pub by the end of the meal! Lovely service from the team too! Luckily we have family moving to the area soon, so we have the perfect excuse to come back and try out their other offerings.

Went here for my 30th birthday first time ever going here, as you step through the door it had a very lovely homely feel which was beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly polite and nothing was too much trouble. As for the food it was fantastic will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone!! Friendly service and some nice ales. We came to see if Falcon loved up to the hype and it definitely did. Delicious steak perfectly cooked to our preference, crispy chips but fluffy in the middle - didn't need salt and vinegar or sauces as they are seasoned nicely and a choice of extras that make the mouth water. The inside is tastefully decorated with a lot of original features and they were very accomodating to our 2 year old daughter with a child seat already at our table when we got there and kids cutlery provided. Will be visiting again!

You get what you pay for with steak and this is certainly true here. Order ahead for the larger steaks but even with the off the menu options you wont go hungry. This really is superb quality. You. May need to book a table but that is a good thing.

Wonderful local gem. Lovely business and amazing food. Service with a smile, great midweek offers as well as a treat for the evening. Make sure you book in advance for weekends, this place is seriously popular! My favourites include the Dipster, brie wedges and the fish but never had a bad meal.

Exceeded expectations! Came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. Chorizo delicious, steaks couldn't fault them, plenty of tasty sides, followed by a mouthwatering trio of desserts. Staff were warm and friendly, efficient throughout. We'll be back (all the way from west Wales!)

Been coming here for a few years now and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the steak, well, is INCREDIBLE. I would highly recommend the Brie wedges, and the fillet steak is so tender! Still yet to have a steak as good as here! Keep it up guys!!

Delicious food, freshly cooked. Great offer on the lunch menu. Desserts are made in house and are amazing, particularly the brownie! No parking on site but plenty on the high street or in the long stay carpark behind the cinema. There isn't a children's menu but our children ate off the lunch menu with no issues. Service charge is automatically added to your bill but this is given straight to the staff on shift.

Quick and friendly service. Food prep is quick, and waited on throughout. Highly recommended for steak lovers. Beautiful pieces of meat and great variety.

This place gets busy so always book in advance. Classy venue with a 32oz competition to eat it and beat it. The food was worth it and they have a fantastic 15 quid for three courses deal at the moment. Drinks pricey but good gin section.
