Thai fish cakes, Thai and green milk tea, pad Thai and prawn noodle soup highly recommended! Staff were so accommodating and this is some of the best Thai food I've had in the UK period! Would advise booking a table through their website as it was very busy when we went on friday night. FULLY HALAL P.S Mango sticky rice to end your meal is a must.

Great food, amazing host. Halal and alcohol-free environment. We even ordered Thai iced tea and coffee to take away!

Visit Date: 29th June 2022. Took a chance on this restaurant based on other Google Maps reviews whilst visiting the area. Did not regret it. My wife and I really enjoyed the whole meal - 3 shared starters, and a main meal each (see my pics). Getting the bill took a bit of time. Other than that, no complaints about the service and the food was halal and soooo delicious !

Some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. It's such a homely, friendly place - felt like we were in an aunt's home! The food was cooked really well. We tried the sesame chicken toast, fish cakes and chicken satay for starters. For mains, duck pancakes (portion enough for two but may need more pancakes), and the sweet and sour battered chicken with egg noodles. For dessert, sticky rice with mango. Absolutely delicious - worth travelling to Bristol for!

This place has got a good reputation for a reason. The staff is really friendly and tried the best to make you feel comfortable. The dishes are authentic and full of flavour. I wish my portion was more generous. Be aware that it is an alcohol free restaurant. Worth to visit.

I loved the vibe of this restaurant - cosy little place, family business, smily people great atmosphere and good food. However! I’m giving it 4 stars because there is room for improvement.. when it’s full the service/ communication seems to suffer a bit. My friend asked for the most spicy stir-fry they had and I asked for the normal medium one - they both came the same with no chillies, not spicy at all.. . Guessing they cooked for more people at once. Of course- they brought additional chilli sauce when we told them and it was good in the end but I would have liked the attention to detail. These weren’t special requests, but exactly how they were supposed to be according to their menu. Notes: we tried some of our friends food - the pad thai was a bit disappointing.. we really didn’t like it! (7 friends tried it and agreed on this ) However the crispy duck and the prawn curry were both fabulous! All in all I think 4+ stars is fair. Maybe it’s better when they are not full .. PS: they don’t serve alcohol and you can’t bring your own either.

Food was lush. Service excellent! The waiter even took time to show me how to use chopsticks! And they made a special vegan chilli sauce for me! They can alter any dish to be vegan upon request. I highly recommend this place. It's great. I will be visiting again very soon 😊👍🏻🥢

Service throughout the meal was excellent, polite and helpful. Delivery times were quick too so we were not waiting for courses to arrive. The menu had a good range of options and the food was delicious, both in appearance and taste. Portion sizes were good, we didn't need a dessert! Prices were decent too and we had a very enjoyable night out.

The rating was so good that we took the bus from Bristol city center all the way up here to try out. We ordered the vegetarian two course set menu (2 person set) and was extremely disappointed with the selection. Starter - a salad and a plate of tempura + spring roll. Personally think there were just too much oily fried stuff as a starter occupied the stomach before the main is being served. (Not the worst part) Main course - 3 vege dishes and a green curry. All 3 vege dishes shared the same ingredients of carrots, courget, mushroom, baby corns and pepper. The sauce tasted the same too although one was supposed to be oyster sauce, and one was soy sayce. They were all extremely salty. The green curry taste ok but again it was way too salty. We thought the combination of the set menu (that looks the same) has alot of room for improvement. For example swap out one with tom yum soup or something else. Maybe the a la carte dishes taste better but we went for set menu thinking that should be the best combination the we could get from a first-time-visit restaurant. There was one plus positive point though, the green milk tea and hot milk tea was super delicious, reminded us about life in Asia. Overall there’s room for improvement for the taste and set menu combination.

Very poor quality Thai takeaway over priced the squid is tasteless and greasy like calamari you would get from a low budget pub. My pad Thai was covered in excess overly sweet sauce.

We booked this place in advance and thought to give it a go as we were not sure to be honest. From the outside it looks quite basic and a normal restaurant. When we walked in it was busier which is a good sign. We ordered their platter in starter which consisted of 5 different items. The portion size was huge and delicious. Food was tasty but chicken Thai green curry could have been better. Green curry paste was really thick which downgraded the taste a bit. However, the overall food experience was good and service was on the spot. In terms of price it's not expensive and portion size is quite good. It's not a place for romantic or fine dining because you won't get such a vibe here. The interior deco is messy and bit weird. They have a different range of light in a different style then different range of wall pictures. It would have been better to have consistency and better decorations throughout.

Great Thai restaurant that we visited for birthday meal - it was v busy and so glad we booked online in advance a couple of days before. The starters were ok - chicken skewers, Tom Yum soup and prawn in filo - but pretty small for the price - although there is a reduction for ordering three together. The chicken massaman curry was very good and came served with (very) sticky rice. The chicken Gae Pad Gra Pow was not so great - I guess some people must like it but no one amongst our group did - not much beyond salty chilli flavour for me. Service was very friendly and helpful - I'd go back but, judging by crowd and reviews seems good, but a bit overrated.

Great food. So glad to have found this place, the only 100 % halal thai food in Bristol. Was seated promptly upon arriving. Pad thai tasted delicious like the one you would have had in thailand. Makesure you order spicy prawn cracker, its a nicer version of the generic chinese prawn cracker. Will definitely be going back soon.

First time coming here with a couple friends, food was delicious and prices were ok! The Thai milk tea came in a huge mini jug - I'd definitely recommend! We ordered the trio starter - fishcakes, calamari and prawns in filo pastry, perfect for sharing. Mains we order the squid in Penang sauce, chicken Thai red curry and prawn pad Thai. Pad Thai was nice, could have added more peanut maybe, compared to other places where I have been, the portion was on the smaller side and lacked peanuts. The other two dishes tasted very similar, so I'd advise to order something else. Coconut rice was as expected. Dessert we ordered Mango sticky rice! ( So hard to find a good one in UK!) Almost tasted just as good as the ones I've had from Thailand but I guess produce is different so not as good, still a good dessert and didn't disappoint. Definitely would come here again!

Its okay. The rice was kind of hard. The food was not bad. some dishes were good. But some were ordinary. They possibly used frozen vegetables. E.g. the broccoli and the carrots.

This was our first visit to this family run Thai restaurant in Fishponds, Bristol. The food was delicious, all freshly prepared and the service very friendly and welcoming. Staff and clientele reflect the diverse nature of this part of Bristol and we loved it. Definitely one to return to. The place was buzzing. Thanks for a relaxed and responsive experience.

Exceptional food and service, the owner of the establishment and his wife (the head chef) were very friendly and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The food is reasonably priced and as authentic as I have tasted in the UK. I hope to dine out there again very soon! Thank you Sami (owner) for the hospitality.

Me and my whole family love their food and service. Today was my mum's 60th birthday so we order her favourite food and ask if they could leave her a HBD message. They went above and beyond! My family enjoy Set menu B and order it every other month and we are always left with happy full bellies and enough food for 6 people for the next day! Thank you so much to everyone who wrote those lovely messages on our dinner ❤️

Top quality Thai food, our goto choice when we want to treat ourselves. Not the cheapest, but worth paying a bit extra for. It used to be quite small inside but they have recently expanded into the property next door, although this wasn't quite ready on our last visit.

Firstly I'd like to say what an amazing food I've searched many places for Authentic Thai food and finaly found it in Bristol of all places.i travel every month from Gloucester once or twice to eat there. And for the fact that it serves No Alcahol and food is Halal what more would you want.

  • 5/5 Dan 3 years ago on Google
Got a takeaway from this place multiple times and the food here is some of the best Thai food I've had. Quality is consistently high and the service is great. When there was an error with our order, they remedied it straight away. Only complaint is it is slightly on the pricey side but I personally feel it is worth it.

  • 3/5 Annette 3 years ago on Google
Prawn chow mein was soggy and eggy with 5 prawns, not really worth over £10. The salad had been marinated too long and was not crispy. The squid was more like chip shop calamari, without the delicate crispness of tempura usual to Thai food. It was all edible and staff friendly, but for the quality of cooking overpriced by about 30%.

  • 5/5 Melissa O. 3 years ago on Google
I haven't been for years and booked at lunch time for the same day evening on a Saturday. They got us in no problem. Kind greeting. A slight delay in service for drinks and the order (we had to ask after 15-20 mins) but then all good apart from recieving starters before drinks which at this point were thirsty! Worth noting if you haven't been before they don't serve alcohol. The tapas starter is a great idea and really nicely presented. Crispy duck salad wasn't very crispy as it had too much dressing so went soggy. But the mains.... Amazing! Thai green curry portion was HUGE! Super creamy and just really well cooked! Sticky rice was great too and spicy prawn crackers weren't too spicy! I wish they delivered but will happily go and collect!!

We didn't realise how popular this Halal Thai restaurant is. Waited 1.5hrs for a table, and fortunate to get a table without booking. It's rated no.1 on Trip Adviser in Bristol. Be prepared to sit and wait for food, it takes ages for food to be served because this restaurant is busy. Having eaten a variety of dishes, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. The food is average I thought, but the customer service was very good. All the staff were friendly and polite.
