A brilliant hidden gem of a live action zombie-horror attraction. Experience what it would be like to gather supplies in a World War Z scenario where your fellow shoppers have been afflicted with a virus turning them unto roaming undead. Dodge trolly wielding zombies in the car park, marvel as they try and fail to operate the card machines and self service checkouts, clamber over hordes of the undead in order to reach items on the shelves, don bio hazard equipment and try to avoid catching the virus which threatens to wipe out humanity. The acting of the zombies in the experience area is very realistic and second to none. Additionally, the experience area doubles up as a gift shop that has everything from fresh produce, to meat, household items and alcohol. The entrance fee is very reasonable at £0 and it appears this attraction is entirely funded by purchases from the gift shop so a cheap day out for the whole family.

I love having a local Waitrose in Chipping Sodbury. The car park is big and I can always find a car parking space. The layout of the store is brilliant and it is really easy to find your way around the store. I think the range of food / products they sell is great. Some of the products I would say are more expensive than other supermarkets but the quality of the fresh produce is always good. I would say you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t say everything in the store is more expensive than other supermarkets but I would say the quality is probably better. The Waitrose Cafe again is lovely, the coffee is delicious, reasonably priced and of a high quality and they have a range of different items you can buy off of the menu as well as snacks. There is plenty of seating in the cafe and it is clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming and will help you find anything that you may need within the store. There are quite a few tills so you don’t really have to queue for long to buy your shopping. I think it’s brilliant that you can shop online with John Lewis and collect your order from the Waitrose in Chipping Sodbury - that’s super handy. Overall I do really like this store, I don’t shop here all the time because I do prefer to shop elsewhere just due to the price of certain things however it would stop me from shopping there or going to the cafe.

Very nice. Shame about the door opening and shutting in the cafe. Kept letting in the cold. Did have a bacon sarnie and it was spot on.

Always a pleasure to shop there. Staff are always nice & extremely kind. Especially when I was in my wheelchair awaiting my new hip & whilst I was recovering from op.

Went shopping for mum today because she's self isolating. I was advised it wouldn't be too busy. Big mistake because although the queue outside was well managed it was another free for all inside with many people getting far too close! What is wrong with people! ?

COMPLAINT..... After all these years, the Waitrose cafe still has a separate entrance door. This should be an advantage, but it isn't ! It's a major design flaw. When opened, the constant wind drives through the cafe, making it very uncomfortable, especially for those nearest the door. Not helped by inconsiderate shoppers (not using the cafe) using it as a shortcut to the main store (in, and then out again). I can see its relevance for outside tables in nicer weather, but then a windbreak should be installed for those who choose to sit inside. Either your customers are too polite to state this, or you're ignoring previous complaints, as its blindingly obvious.

Nice store, well laid out. Good variety but some items can be limited choice. Watch the sell by dates!! Till service often slow and there's a reluctance to open more tills.

We visited the cafe in this branch of Waitrose. I had a lovely cup of Americano (coffee), served with milk in a China jug and sugar of my choice. My wife had hot chocolate, and she also had a blueberry muffin while I ate a lemon and fruit Danish pastry. It was really well presented and the service was outstanding. Couple that with a quiet atmosphere where you can converse without shouting to be heard, and you get the picture. The shopping experience here is much as you would expect from any other Waitrose, and as an older guy, it suits me to find a quieter, slightly less frenetic environment. I would like to see more in the way of low packaging impact goods like the fill your own container to be found in a few branches, but I guess we will have to wait a bit longer for that to come around. Overall, it was a brilliant experience considering it is shopping 😉

Normal Waitrose but weirdly, this Waitrose wasn't very helpful when searching for something specific.

A nice, modern Waitrose & Partners store, with competitive prices.

Good place and good food. The only issue is that they seem to manage their tills so that there is always a queue. If the store is nearly empty there will be one till working... with a queue. If it a bit busier there will be two tills working... each with a long queue, etc. Needs a bit more focus in this area

Enjoy regularly visiting this store however very disappointed with the current Asian takeaway. This was a wonderful treat at the weekend but the 'new' recipe has lost not only the Thai flavours but reduced the number of dishes and changed the rice to sticky instead of jasmine! Very disappointing as the price has increased as well! Please return to the original recipes which were truly enjoyable and a real Asian experience.

Review for the CAFE: hoping to get a breakfast here but they don't do one. Probably the only supermarket brand cafe I've visited that don't. Everything is toast or wheat based so if youre gf forget it, literally nothing for my mum to eat. Staff friendly and helpful and cafe is clean. Asked if I could have the scrambled eggs on toast with bacon added. "We can't do that as the scrambed egg is already made [yuck!] and we can't put bacon on top of it." Even though they also have bacon rolls on the menu. Mind boggling nonsensical statement from this otherwise helpful girl on the till. Come on Waitrose up your game! Expected better than this.

Nice store. Polite and friendly staff, just wish they had a bit more on their essentials range! Then they would be 5 star 😊

Visited the Café, in store today at 3pm we were informed the café, had now closed despite the shop being open for another hour, there is no information listed on the website stating the café closed any earlier than the Supermarket, turns out not everyone deserves quality food.

A supermarket for the better off people, although you may still pick up a bargain once in a while.

Waitrose is as most know a place to pick up those artisan items you cant live without. The staff though are just so welcoming and do go the extra mile for the customer. Waitrose do get the mix of the essentials & the luxuries just right though.

We arrived around 11:30 am on 5 June 2020. We had to queue around 10 minutes before entering due to residual lockdown rules. A good selection with no obvious shortages. You can self scan with their own scanning handsets or with their mobile phone app. If you use the app. as we did, please be aware that the phone signal gets weak at the back of the store. We sometimes had to return to near the checkouts to get a signal. Otherwise excellent.

First time doing grocery click and collect. Very impressed. All the fresh produce was well within use by date and of very good quality . Packed sensibly so all chilled stuff together in bags so you could slip it into cool box. Well done Waitrose Chipping Sodbury and Thankyou to the packer for our order. Mon 18th between 4 6pm

Recently moved into the area and was thrilled to find this Waitrose nearby. Parking is always easy, the staff are so friendly and click and collect is great. Food quality is great and there is plenty of choice. This has become my first choice supermarket, despite there being others a little closer to home.
