Paid £5 for chips and cheese, had to buy ketchup from shop across the road only to find green bits in the cheese! Dont know about their other food but if you can't keep chips and cheese without mold god knows what it's like.

Staff was super rude over the telephone and in person and very unfriendly didn’t acknowledge when I walked in & not the first time this has happened! Very poor service … My fiance also got food poisoning due to their poor 3 Star hygiene! I’m not one to usually leave reviews but I highly recommend to AVOID!

AVOID THIS PLACE!! I bought cod & chips and a mushroom chop suey. The chop suey was bland and the fish & chips are by far the worst fish and chips I've ever had, in fact there was hardly any fish at all it was 90% batter. I've honestly hand on heart never had such terrible fish & chips in my life!!!

A little gem of fast food in the heart of Sodbury town, with a wide and varied menu of both Chinese and English dishes. My particular favourite is Salt and Pepper Chicken, which isn't even on the menu but the staff are happy to cook for me. The lady serving on the counter is lovely and, despite working flat out, is always eager to please and happy to chat to us. She makes us feel very welcome each time we go in. Prices are reasonable for the cuisine type too - and they have recently started accepting card payments again, which makes things a lot easier. Definitely happy to recommend.

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. I was a bit worried when I saw the 3star hygiene rating. For just fish and chips we waited ages. They were the pits. £17 for 2 bags of chips and 2 pieces of cod that went straight down the waste disposal. Rip off. Tasted like yesterday’s chips. Batter was awful. Will never go back.

I love this place. Been coming here for years. They are super efficient. I only ever have pie and chips but they seem to do a roaring trade in Chinese food too. Top marks.

Charged £12 for a large fish and chips with curry sauce. Worlds smallest piece (looked to be half tail piece) of fish that was almost certainly not cod! And was super oily. Staff were also super miserable

Such a shame, try and support local business but they reminded me again at lunch time why I don’t go very often. The chips are such a disappointment and reheated as usual. Given the location this could be such a good takeaway.

Excellent as always. I'm not the biggest fan of Chinese food, so it does have to be good for me to enjoy it. Had sweet and sour chicken balls and spare ribs tonight, it was spot on!!! The sauce on both is delicious and the ribs just melted, fantastic A*

Called in on way home to order fish and chips for my wife and I. Specifically asked the server to make sure that the chips were crispy. The server confirmed that she would do so. Upon getting our food home the chips were undercooked and some of the batter brick hard. Threw out the chips and only ate the better part of the batter and the fish inside. Won't be going back even if owner offers free replacement. If they cannot get it right first time then... This is an honest review as I love my food and I never throw food out.

I ordered a sweet + sour pork Hong-Kong style last night to which I've had many times before always cooked the Hong-Kong way and cooked to perfection, But last night out came the meal in the disgusting red sauce the meal was just so sickly sweet and was like pig swill not edible at all and being an OAP mobility is limited and returning meal couldn't be done So never again Chipping Sodbury Fish bar you have lost my weekly custom

Appalling will not be returning telephoned ordered to save time but i dont believe they start cooking untill you arrive was told it would be ready in 30 minutes still had to wait over an hour? There were people returning food because it was wrong not thier order!! Definately appeared a classic case of "too many chefs" System i dont believe they would have known a system if it jumped out on them? Shame because when i finally got my order the food wasnt that bad!! Just too late the care if i could have got my money back i would have! First impressions though "SHOCKING"

Love the food here! The staff are so friendly, we are regulars they know our order without even asking and we are fussy! Nothing to fault always get the order right. Food quality is Amazzzing. Our favourite Chinese we've ever had!!!

Passed by for some lunch, staff were very friendly and great service. Ordered springrolls, beef chowmein and sweet and sour chicken. Spring rolls were nice and crispy, tasted even better dipped with the sweet and sour sauce. Will order again.
