(28/05/2019) - So tonight we tried Roberto’s after having said we would go to another local Italian and it being closed. If I am honest I am glad we ended up here as we had never tried it before but had heard good things and we had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and when I rang them and asked them if we could have a table for 6 in 10-15 mins time they had no issues and actually we had a lovely table in the window of the restaurant. Robertos did not disappoint - it was probably one of the nicest local Italian restaurants I’ve been too and now it’s local to us I would rather go there than any of the Italian Restaurants in Bristol city centre. Roberto’s Ristorante & Pizerria is a family-run restaurant located in Chipping Sodbury. The food at Robertos was excellent! I had the Mozzarella in Carrozza for starter (£6.95) followed by the Alla Carbonara for mains (£11.50) and then an Affogato to finish off the meal which was delightful - we didn’t see them on the menu but we asked for them at the end and they made them for us. The restaurant offers superb authentic They have two dining rooms which makes it the perfect setting for any occasion. Roberto’s is the perfect location for a romantic evening out, family get-together, business dinners, birthdays, anniversaries or any other celebratory occasion. I would really recommend Roberto’s I hope it lasts up Chipping Sodbury as it is a real asset. I will definitely going back to Roberto’s for another meal. I like the fact you can have any Pasta Dish as a starter for £6.50. Stunning decor, a lovely little restaurant. We went to Robertos again tonight (26/07/19) and I was really disappointed as our meal was no where near as nice as it was the first time. It was a lot busier tonight than when we last came but I felt the standard of food and service was a lot less which was a shame a as I felt it was a 5* last time and about a 3* this time so I have changed my review to a 4*.

Visited yesterday for the first time. Can't recommend highly enough. Food was amazing and not over priced. Staff attentive and friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Only thing to improve would be to have some different tunes playing in the background (though added to the ambiance) as on a loop. Will definetly be going back and will spread the word!

Booked Roberto's for my daughters 18th birthday meal. There were 12 of us but this wasn't an issue at all. Staff and chef were very attentive and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, meals could be adapted for GF, vegetarian and the fussy :) Food was amazing and not over priced, generous portions too. Thank you to the whole team for making our night memorable.

The staff are great, friendly and attentive but the cosy little inside dining area is very noisy and the food is a let down. We were a party of six, the salads had no dressing, the pizzas had skimpy toppings and nothing was properly seasoned. It's a pity but I won't be rushing back.

All older reviews refer to the previous restaurant- it is now a Mexican restaurant. As of 2019 this is now an Italian again- food and service have been fantastic on both visits.

Our fav Italian restaurant in Chipping Sodbury easily. Favourite to visit because of ambience and friendly staff and quality and range of food. Since Covid we regularly, we tend to get our weekly take away treat from Roberto's. Even just get chips from here as they are the best around.

Great food, great service and lovely interior. The only thing that ruins it is a very loud, Italian chef who comes into the restaurant and obviously likes to be heard!! He is possibly the owner...but he needs to turn his volume down. I've been twice and both times he was loud and overpowering!

I eat out regularly, but this is my first review, as I’ve never had need to complain. This place would rank bottom of all the places I’ve eaten. Going on google reviews we called in, staff were friendly, but the food was atrocious, served cold and uncooked, sent it back and it came back just as bad. Fortunately we weren’t charged for that dish. The tapas were just about edible, but again a total fail. Either the chef was off with food poisoning or the place is in decline. Avoid at all costs..

Fantastic evening, excellent service and food. Will definitely go back. Last minute meal out, so happy to get a table when we phoned. Really friendly team who looked after us very well. The food was amazing, my husband is always critical when we go out, he had 3 courses which were all perfect. Cannot wait to go again

We are lucky to have such a lovely highstreet with a number of amazing local businesses. Roberto's is absolutely one of the best of these. The level of service is always fantastic and the food is brilliant. Best pizzas in the area by far and they do a lovely Mediterranean spin on a roast dinner. Supporting a local business has never been made so easy 🍕 👍

We took a party of 23 to Roberto's on Sunday for my birthday and had a fantastic evening. Roberto and his team could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. The food was amazing, fast and the menu very comprehensive. All managed with a friendly smile. Perfect.

Incredibly awesome. This little Italian independent restaurant is superb. Delicious food and great service in the heart of the market town of Chipping Sodbury. I’d highly recommend a visit to this restaurant and chipping Sodbury in general you won’t be dissatisfied!

Not a single gluten free dessert! Not even the ice cream was GF! I was a little disappointed with the food I ordered, the starter was luke warm, bordering on cold but would have been nice if it was piping hot. The lady that waited our table was very friendly and very helpful in trying to help with my medical dietary requirements, but the restaurant had obviously not given much thought to this when planning menus. There was GF pasta available so not a total wipe out for the coeliacs out there, just go somewhere else for dessert!
