Great place to park, but like other comments i see, thieves appear to operate with impunity. I just had my bike nicked over the weekend. I used an expensive d-lock to attach it to the bracket of a raised rack on the top level right next to to the CCTV. They removed the bracket and must have carried it down two flights with the locks still attached. Why are the brackets that flimsy!? why isn't there any security or effort made ot make this a secure location where people can travel as they should by bicycle and train. Another case of 'Broken Britain' I'm afraid.

A waste of facilities since by parking your bike here is as safe as parking it on the street or even worse, since this seems to be burglars paradise… My bike got stolen. I spoke to the security guy that happened to be around, & he told me to speak to the personnel in the station, since they admin the parking. The person from the ticket office told me to speak with the guys in platform 4 who apparently take care of these things. They said the person in the gate should let me through. But the person in the gate told me they can’t do anything so I should just call the police. They even told me their number: 101. How useful & resourceful. What are CCTV cameras for?

Do not use if you have an bike of any value! This bike store is unsafe and unmonitored, you will get no assistance from the security or the police in investigation or recovery when your bike is stolen. It's an absolute hot spot for cycle theft, parts too, you may lose your bike or just a wheel. Do not reccomend at all!

If you want to lose your bike/a wheel every time you park, then please choose Cambridge station cycle park. If you think parking in front of two CCTVs will help, then you are wrong!! If you think reporting to the police to check the CCTV footage, you are mistaken. You will be told by the police that watching hours of footage just to find a missing bike/wheel is not worth their time and will be told to buy a new wheel. So, if you want to end up with half a bike and take a cab and pay extra to carry the broken bike, then I strongly recommend this place.

I would NOT recommend leaving a good bike here. Mine was stolen & there seems to a complete lack of contact information there & online.

Avoid! Bike stolen yesterday. Used a good quality D lock but thief only had to remove two bolts from the bracket of the parking space / frame in order to get it. Presume they then took bike with D lock still attached.

The only use for this place would be as bike disposal. If you want to make a charitable donation to the thieves of Cambridge by all means use this bike park. If you would rather hang onto your property avoid like the plague! Oh, and don’t think your lock is good enough to save you. They’ll use angle grinders and/or dismantle the entire rack if they want your bike enough. Nobody stops them and the CCTV is purely decorative.

Dangerous cycle park with no security. The cycle racks are removable with a screwdriver, and are therefore worthless. The police will not look at the CCTV unless you have a specific hour in which your bike was stolen (which is pretty useless if you've just used the station to go to London).

#1 hotspot for bicycle theft in Cambridge! This infamy has not been achieved accidentally: it took years of: - NOT reviewing the CCTV - NOT welding / cementing the racks in place - NOT providing a secure entrance, so the thieves come and go with impunity

Unfortunately one star is the minimum allowed to post a review. However, this facility and overall service would deserve zero stars. I left my bicyle there and according to other people's review, is a trend to steal the bike but leave only the wheel. Similarly to somene, I went to speak with someone from the security cabin there, and they told me to directly call the police as they cannot do nothing. However, police without recordings will do little, but on th eother hand the security guards were not sure that there CCTV were in operation during the theft. My question is, why the council is doing nothing practical? Why people cannot propose different approaches? Because we're giving plenty of feedbacks but they're time waste an dnot listened.

Seat got stolen here. Would recommend taking public transport/walking to the station as parking your cycles here is not ideal.

Bicycle locked here on a Sunday afternoon and stolen from under the security camera. Reported immediately and zero response from either station or police. This is a very common experience, and the general consensus is that its the very worst place in Cambridge, bar none, to leave a bike. We are being badly let down.

I had my locked bike stolen within 4 days of starting to use this facility, when I called the police the case was closed within a couple of hours via email. I then parked my cargo bike in the cargo bike section and returned to find a note on my bike telling me I am not allowed to park my cargo bike in the cargo bike section… not sure the management has their priorities right

Not safe for bikes at all. I wouldn't advise leaving yours there. We see them stolen regularly and there is very little that can be done about it.

Best NOT to leave a bike here overnight. The CCTV is not monitored and the place is a magnet for bike thieves. Be warned.

After an attempted theft of my bike from the station cycle park despite using three locks, I no longer cycle to the train station. CCTV is no deterrent, as Greater Anglia do not appear to monitor it and apparently do not always share footage with the police. The floor hoops are easily unbolted and even the raised racks are being removed with angle grinders. Anyone can enter at any time and security patrols are rare.
