This is the worst surgery i have EVER had the misfortune to use. The receptionists are rude beyond the joke, seriously they have actually told myself and my partner multiple times to "Shut Up", No kidding. We can't even explain why we need to see a doctor because they do not listen. They even do not care if you are 12 weeks pregnant and cannot breathe, the receptionist actually told us to go home and told us she cannot do anything. The hospital diagnosed a PE (Blood-clot in the lung) which is often fatal yet this receptionist told us to effectively go home and die. Very nice huh! Then the doctors, there is only one good doctor and he is called "Dr Paul A Buckley". He is great! however every other doctor we have seen in this surgery have been very rude and do not listen to us AT ALL. they are always too busy assuming whats wrong and not even trying to find out what is actually wrong. I without a doubt hate the entire surgery (Except Dr Buckley) and i really want to sue them. Not for money, but to fire all the horrible staff who should not be working there.

If I could give zero stars I would. They don’t read medical records properly when trying to make clinical decisions and have committed a number of data breaches as well. The practice manager is very rude and is refusing to provide me with a copy of the practices complaints procedure so that I can be aware of my options and rights. I have had to look up my rights in respect of complaints and due to the behaviour of the practice manager I do not believe this surgery is competent to deal with serious complaints and as such I would recommend anyone that has valid complaints and concerns about this surgery that they direct these to NHS England to investigate and perhaps then the practice manager will get some refresher training in how to run a GP surgery and how to politely address registered patients and know that she is required to provide complaints procedures to patients when they ask for it and not try to hide behind the Freedom of Information Act. Maybe administrative services at the surgery might then improve as it’s usually a trickle down attitude as people learn from attitudes at the top. This could have been so much simpler for the surgery to deal with themselves but the attitude of the practice manager and her refusal to provide a complaints policy gives me no confidence that the surgery is competent to deal with valid complaints.

Absolutely awful. These used to be the best surgery I've ever dealt with. But they have now become the worst. Getting an appointment is nigh on impossible, they recommend an e consult. You fill that in and it goes either unanswered entirely or you wait ages, which I don't actually hugely mind if it's non urgent, but they message saying you'll receive a response the next working day, and then you wait absolutely ages. I had to fill 4 in for my son over a course of numerous weeks before finally getting a response. When you call to chase the receptionists are utterly ambivalent. Offer no apology and just kind of give you a tough luck and what do you expect response! You question them about why they can't offer a simply apology and they give a half hearted one followed immediately by excuses. I genuinely have no faith that if I needed them for an urgent problem you would get the required treatment in time for it becoming a hospital case. We're likely going to change surgeries now. I appreciate that the NHS is stretched, but medical care is a necessity and something we're entitled to, this practice just can't deliver adequate care.

Excellent service. I've had various issues dealt with efficiently by phone consultation, helpfully avoiding me having to attend in person. Also had phone consultation about my daughter then offered same day face to face appointment later, which was great as meant she didn't miss school. The difficulties getting through to reception are a result of the extremely high demand being put on GP surgeries and the lack of adequate funding and staffing. Blame the government for this, not the GP staff!

Recently had to call a couple of times regarding both my sons, the receptionists were really helpful, both the nurse and another day the doctor ensured she called back to check up after prescribing medication. Overall very impressed considering the staff are under lots of pressure!

Rubbish and Incompetent! Twice giving me medication that clashed and could kill me but not "there" fault as consultant recommended medication? Never followed up with what consultants told them they needed to do, had to be chased then give me a warning when challenged on lack of care of duty Been trying to leave but I am not in anyone catchment Lost all trust and faith Mandy Gurr needs to be removed! Question her and she goes into attack and lies They agree with BHI in I haven't had a heart attack because what I have had is a heart attack? That makes sense to them? Although I'm AFIB no one is going to treat me? Just had a letter today, I am being removed from the surgery because of this post and I must remove it Immediately? So much for freedom of speech

I have recently moved back to Winterbourne from Yate and registered with Frome Valley. The transfer of our records was easy and straight forward. On the occasions I have had to speak to them the staff have been great , very knowledgeable and understanding. It was easy to get a telephone appointment and Dr Warwick called when arranged and on time. She was very helpful ,listened and gave great advise. Overall a great service from start to finish. In these busy times and lack of funding I was really pleased with the service.

My dad spoke to a doctor at 4.05 today regarding a prescription and has been told it has been signed off and ready collection, 4.50 my dad turns up to collect it to be told by the pharmacist it hasn’t even been signed off. After my dad approached the receptionist regarding the issue. She then turned round and said the doctor dad spoke to left 2.5 hours ago. A bit of a lie there as my dad has proof of speaking to this doctor at 4.05.

After having lost total confidence with my Dorset surgery I was very wary about this practice after having read the reviews. I have to say that the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The phone staff were very good. The GP was excellent. Welcoming understanding showed empathy and wasnt phased by my own knowledge of my condition. Discussed everything with me and its the first time for a long time that I left a GPs surgery feeling positive and better than I went in. Only fault is the time it takes to get through. I guess thats too many patients and not enough staff.

Couldn't be more helpful. I recently went away for a long weekend and forgot my medication. I phoned and was phoned back by Ondrea Hodges who had a prescription sent up to a pharmacy where I was staying.Ondrea was brilliant, helpful and understanding. I picked my prescription up the same day Many thanks.

Staff and doctors have been very helpful. eConsult on the other hand is a terrible system, can't make head nor tail of it

I have never had a bad thing to say about the surgery. The receptionists used to be harsh but now they are amazing. Thank you for seeing me during lockdown too.

I have found it impossible over the past few months to make a routine appointment. The online consultation request form is turned off very early stating capacity reached for the day. On a non working day I have tried to get my request in and it's switched off by 9-10am repeatedly. I understand things are busy but by doing this and not allowing any other way to put in a request it's effectively closing your doors for most of the week. Most requests are not "urgent" they are routine, so these need to be accepted and dealt with. If you go in to attempt to talk to someone I have only ever been told try again online tomorrow and the same situation repeats. Please look into this. Drs are very good if you can get in!

Never had a bad experience with this practice. They are always punctual, I get appointments when I need them, and this morning I used their online service and had a call back within minutes. All Gp’s and nurses that I have met have been warm and welcoming

I moved into the area around two years ago now and everyone that I’ve dealt with at the surgery has been absolutely lovely. I’ve always got an appointment when needed. Receptionists have been kind and attentive. All doctors or nurses I’ve spoken to or seen have been great.

The doctors/nurses I've seen are great but the appointment and contact system has gone crazy lately. There must be a better way to manage enquiries than this.

Called and told only online appointments, online only lists a few ailments and is impossible for non tech savvy people, no way to book now so pointless, Drs great but no way to even speak to them.
