Amazing place. Good place to rest some time. It's old and well maintained, clean. Not so many places in Moldova are so nice and deserves to be visited.

Very beautiful monastery with two churches. It's peaceful and quite. Access roads are also very good and clear. Highly recommend to visit it, and then have a rest in the forest (Codru)

An impressive beautiful Monastery Site Established in medieval Moldavia, Căpriana is situated in a picturesque forested area once called Codrii Lăpușnei. There are three churches on the monastery site. The Church of the Dormition (a stone summer church) is the oldest extant church in Moldova. The winter church of St George is a twentieth century building. The nineteenth century church is dedicated to St Nicholas. The Church of the Dormition contains the tomb of Metropolitan Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni.

Căpriana Monastery is great architect project located in the middle of clean eco zone Codrii forest, near beautiful lake and springs. Wonderful landscape, good place to treat your soul and forget about all the other problems.

One of the most beautiful moldavian churches, has been built around 1420's during Alexander the Good ruling period. Due to some earthquakes in 1470's and 1516 - the church suffered serious damages, being rebuilt several times. Even today, there're places which are not fully restored. However, due to his size, beauty and historical heritage - it's a worthy place to visit !

Nice orthodox monastery where there are only male nuns.

Not much to do around. But the actual monastery is beautiful and very well decorated and up-kept. Bit far from Chișinău but if you take detours in the way you will enjoy. There are servers parks and foresty areas you can park and enjoy a Picnic. Look around in the map as you plan to see what is of interest for you!

Very relaxing, calm, beautiful atmosphere.

Enjoyed the scenic drive through the village to reach this Monastery. The territory is full of greenery, my favorite pine trees. There are couple of wells to get water from too.

Impressive monastery. Was recently renovated, everything being arranged very nicely. Especially beautiful is the nature around, the monastery being situated near a small lake and surrounded by hills and forests. For those who travel from/to Moldova to/from Romania, this place is worth stopping by. It is only 2-3 km away from the main road E581.

The most important orthodox site from Moldova is here. Having more than 6 centuries of history it's highly recommended to have a look around if you looking for a glimpse of Moldavian religious heritage

A good place to relax or hick. Beautiful views and the famous Stejarului lui Stefan cel Mare is in the nearby forest !
