Beautiful fortress rebuilt in 1546 from stone after being made from wood. It survived many wars and is now watching another one in Ukraine, which its land can be seen from it across the river. It's of the the must-see of moldova.

Nice place.... The Soroca fortress in Moldova is a castle that you must see. It is a castle that is still in a beautiful condition and can be visited inside. You look out over the water to the border with Ukraine there fee to enter about 10lei around.... At first made of wood, and somewhat 50 years later rebuilt in stone as a perfect circle with 5 bastions on the sides.on Monday and Tuesday it is closed

Soroca Fortress is a small, 14 century castle located in Soroca and near the border of Ukraine. Its history is quite interesting. As you can see in the photos, the fortress is quite small, compared to an average fortress, but still worth 2 and a half hours drive from the capital of Chişinău! (The fortress is closed until April 1, due to COVID-19, but you can still wander around it!) And the entrance fee is from 5 to 15 lei, which is: 0.24 to 0.71 Euros 0.28 to 0.85 US Dollars 0.21 to 0.62 Pound Sterling 7.85 to 23.55 Ukranian Hryvnia 20.66 to 61.99 Russian Roubles And 1.16 to 3.49 Romanian Leu No need to thank me. And don't forget to visit its surroundings!

The Soroca Fortress built in 1499 has been used to garrison Moldovan troops against Turkish, and Polish invaders during medieval times. Beautiful place, and they have added historical roofs to the turrets.

An amazing fortress on the banks of the dnistr. The towers resemble the hat of Gandalf from the lords of the rings and one wouldn't be surprised if Viking would come sailing by in their ships. It offers a view on the Ukraine as well

One of the greatest place to visit in Moldova. Great fortress that was restored with România's money. Recommend to visit. There you can see Nistru river and on the other side is Ucraina.

A must visit location when you travel to/through Soroca. This historical structure has been preserved fairly well. It offers great views of the cities' surrounding areas and neighboring Ukraine across the river.

Beautiful historic castle with friendly employees who can tell you about the place. You can explore the towers and many rooms. Small, but great opportunity for photos.

If you like everything history, this is for you! Authentic medieval fortress! You pay a nominal entrance fee, and you're free to roam around. You can pay extra for a guided tour.

The building is very old and has its own history. I think this place is a must-visit! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get inside the fortress as it was under renovation. I hope they finish soon so that you can see it too! Please make a public toilet.

The fortress is currently closed for restoration, and it is uncertain when it will reopen. However, you can still enjoy a walk in the park and explore other points of interest in Soroca.
