Hâncu features the largest church in Moldova The monastery is located in a scenic place in the heart of Codri forest close to M1 motorway half the road between Chișinău and Leușeni (border crossing into Romania). The monastery features a church and a large cathedral that is so far functional in the basement church which is very beautiful. It features inlayed icons. A spring credited to heal various ailments is nearby the church. It has a thub in form of footprint. Some people bath inside the thub, other choose to walk around 9 times. Hâncu has a hotel for piligrims.
