An impressive monument from 2004 that commemorates the heroes of Moldova and the lost culture. You can reach the monument by car driving on broken roads through the villages or you can climb around 600 steps. From the monument you can see Ukraine. A must visit of Moldova in my opinion (and free entrance)

Wonderful place, wonderful view, it's worth it going down the stairs, that have 657 staircases. The Thanksgiving Candle was lit up/opened on March 27th, 2004, so it's not to old. Would recommend a lot, because it's a whole new world in Moldova, only if you'll ignore the litter.

The monument itself is not much more than a pillar, but the views from observation deck are very nice. You can drive in the car up to ~150m from the pillar itself, there's a small parking lot there.

The candle looks very majestic and the view of the old Dniester is extraordinary. It is worth climbing the more than 600 stairs to admire this beauty.

A wonderful place to visit if you are in Moldova. Can be accessed by foot, climbing almost 500 meters of stairs, or by car. A little Orthodox Chappell dedicated to the unknown authors of folk ballads and songs. The only museum in Moldova open at night. Great wiews on the Nistru river. Visitation is free.

"The architecture and concept of the monument display remarkable creativity. Furthermore, the view of the Nistru River and its surrounding landscape is simply stunning."

Awesome view... But it's not cheap !!! You have to work for it... 664 steps to be more precise...give or take... It was a good climb, but it was well worth the effort. You can see the Ucrainean boarder from here and everything for as much as the eye can see.

Hundreds of steps up to the top, an easy walk if you are fit and healthy, but possibly difficult for some. The views are worth it. Bring a camera, and also some water. You might need it.
