No point registering if you can’t get an appointment. The place looks like an abandoned secure psych ward now run by rude reception staff who for some reason like to work in the dark behind bullet proof glass. Once you’re in with an appointment- this takes weeks and are as rare as hens teeth - these flashing red lights berate you for missing appointments and being a slob in the toilet - eww - why would I want to use your toilets now. The interfaces to book appointments are Byzantine and complex and getting one is like trying to win at Squid Game. You may die before you get one. The doctors don’t follow up their investigations or ask to see you back to see how a treatment worked. Not great for chronic conditions. I am a GP myself I would not take a dog to this surgery let alone a relative. I thought it was the pandemic but really after several attempts to give them another chance I am leaving.

This surgery is shocking bad. They cancelled a call out for my 91 year old mother-in-law, after the Doctor called a completely different person, who said they didn't need a Dr. She died 5 days later. You can draw your own conclusions about the quality of their service to patients

This practice has some good doctors but I think it is actively trying to get rid of patients. Still not doing face to face unless you have a phone call appointment first. This is weird when u ring up about lumps etc and wastes time. Alt least two or three week waits for any appointments. Al triaged through receptionists who have limited medical knowledge. You have to fight and call and call again to be heard which is tiring and distressing.. I could go on ..but just avoid.

Forget trying to get a face to face. You will be offered a 2 week telephone appointment. If you cannot answer the phone when they ring back, the appointment will have passed and you will be offered another telephone appointment a further two weeks away. No point going down to the surgery for an emergency appointment as you will be referred to A&E. Some of the GPs can be patronising and dismissive of your symptoms without making a referral to a specialist for a qualified assessment. Trust your own instincts, if you feel you've been fobbed off, persist. This surgery has really gone downhill. I have been on the books since the 90s and can't believe the change in standards and services offered.

I know everyone will have a varied experience of this practice but I wanted to share mine. Particularly as a lot of my struggles have been with my mental health. I have always been treated with kindness and compassion by the GPs I have seen here regarding my mental health. I feel really grateful to have received brilliant care from the GPs in this surgery. Particularly Dr May who is now retired and Dr McGuiness. Both have helped me through some of my worst moments. Although the receptionists may come across as unfriendly at times, I find that if I am super polite with them then I receive a good service in return. Sometimes there is a long wait before calls are answered and it can take up to three weeks to get a face to face appointment but I still value this practice.

My GP referred me to Stockwell Group Practice for a Physio afternoon appointment. On 6 April 2023 Thursday afternoon I was greeted by the first receptionist, who was stationed at the desk immediately after coming through the main entrance of Stockwell Group Practice. Sitting at the reception window before I was buzzed into main waiting area. After reading previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised that this receptionist was super helpful, polite and professional. This made my first visit less stressful and had to leave a review.

Absolutely awful , my daughter went to order her repeat medication for asthma , she couldn’t as she was taken off the surgery ,yet the rest of the family are still on there , no letter or anything to say why she was being taken off !! we called and were told , she doesn’t live in the catchment area , well she has been at this practice for 22 years and at the same house address , this is disgraceful actions to do to someone, I always thought highly of this surgery , it seems to be getting a bad reputation.looks like we all need to find a better surgery that looks after it’s patients !

This surgery is amazing. There is a wonderful woman called Samara who helped me get an appointment at an early pregnancy unit. I was scared I was gonna lose my baby. She advised me what I should do and where to go. I was panicking and frantic when I rang. I got through to her and she reassured me over the phone everything was gonna be okay she calmed me down and she even called back to make sure that everything was fine. I’d also like to thank Ryann as he helped me get my mum’s prescription query sorted. The staff are amazing here! Always ask for Ryann and Samara they are amazing and so efficient. They make the NHS!❤️
