A great place to study, it’s also a great place to live. Every day you encounter new cultures, interests and backgrounds. Your Kent experience will be completely unique and will equip you for every aspect of your life and career. The cost of studying at university is made up of two main elements: academic costs and living costs. Academic costs include your tuition fees plus any additional expenses associated with studying your degree. These can range from printer credits and textbooks to a term or year abroad. When you are choosing which course to study, it's important to consider these additional expenses to find out how much university will cost. Living costs include accommodation, food, clothes, laundry, socialising, travel and emergencies. What you spend during your studies depends on your course, accommodation and lifestyle. If it's the first time you have had to budget, use our living costs page to get an idea of the expenses involved.

The University looks very impressive. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to look around properly as we were just dropping our granddaughter back there. Very impressed with her house - all quite new and modern in a nice setting. Looking forward to going back another time to have a good look around the campus and Canterbury itself.

Top campus University in the UK. Period. It's changed over the years, it's had a few poor additions to the site, shops and non descript bars, but that was always the case... The ambience and the DNA is intact

I had the worst experience applying to study at Kent! Communication wasn’t that good and somewhere along the way I gave up and applied to CCCU; they responded in time and offered me a place way before Kent 🤦🏾‍♀️

The best time ever was spent at Kent! Totally look back on the awesome teaching environment, wonderful and supportive staff as well as friends for life. Spent an epic 4 years of my life here at University of Kent, and I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Really awesome University to attend.

The admissions committee and administrative staff are so lazy that they outsource your application to their local country offices where dumb, non qualified people scrutinize your eligibility. Now just imagine the quality of education in this university. They are only concerned about sales (tuition fees) PR and marketing of the university. Better avoid wasting your hard earned money here.

The standard of education was superb, always so friendly and open and honest with us about the quality of our work and their opinion on particular topic. Only problem was whilst living on campus in my first year the accommodation staff were quite bitter and sometimes harsh with their fines etc Apart from that its an amazing place to get the full university experience. I love it here.

So lovely to visit again after 44 years. It's great to see that it is still growing and developing. Long live UKC, or whatever it is called now!

I tried to apply here through clearing and it was an absolute disasterr!!!! Wow . Their administrative Staff and the staff that deals with applications and phone calls are so so unorganised, unprofessional and absolutely lazy. I contacted them as soon as possible when I had the chance to so safe to say i was one of the first students to try and apply through clearing with them. You’d think this would mean everything would be done quicker but not at all. The team would not at all speak to each other and they’d be so lazy and unorganisedddd that they wouldn’t update my application with the different stages, they would not pass through my application but they’d tell me they have. I’d have so much problems because they’d tell me one thing that was untrue and not right at all all because they did not speak to each other and did not do their jobs!!!! I’d call up everyday multiple times to ask them what’s going on on UCAS it says you have not passed my application and I called there they said you did not but KENT would say yes they have without even checking !!!! This would go on for freaking weeks making me call up UCAS and KENT everyday until it came out in the end that University Of Kent was not doing their jobs right at all and they were in the wrong. Because of them I could not get an accommodation on time and in the end there were only the most expensive left which I could not afford. Absolute nightmare I am so happy and grateful that I did not end up going to this university because if their administrative team is this disoriented then I don’t want to know how the actual university is.

My son had an interview at the University. The place is lovley. The students there were very polite and helpful when we stuck on where to go. We spent a lot of time in one of the cafe's and it was very nice and had plenty of choices in food and drinks

I had my master degree there. I had great experience, the stuff there are very very helpful. I enjoy the walk at the wood in the university as well.

The university of Kent is located in 300 acres of parkland on the hill overlooking the historic city of Canterbury. This is a really special place to be, whether studying, working or visiting. Excellent and regular bus service into Canterbury. Located at the Eastern tip of the North downs, there is lots of attractive countryside around the university. Whitstable is only about six miles away for those looking for a beach.
