    Great gym with amazing coaches! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Aphobos hosted the Adaptive & Inclusive Trainer course to help fitness trainers be able to work with people with disabilities. This should tell you enough about the kind of gym staff and community they have! Facility is amazing! - Very clean, organized and has all the gym equipment you could possibly want. - Lavatory has showers for people who need to head to work afterwards. Programming & Coaching - I was only visiting for a few days but the workouts were very well programmed! - the coaches actually coach! - every workout had a thoughtfully planned warmup and coaches were able to scale and modify as needed for everyone

    I started training at Aphobos 10 months ago and what a great decision this was! Previously to joining, I didn’t use to do any weight training at all, so I was a little nervous when joining. However, the great team of coaches at Aphobos really helped me build my confidence in the box and I can definitely see and feel an improvement in my physical body as well as my confidence around weights. Moreover, other members are always welcoming and the atmosphere while training is always buzzing !!

    Very nice box with great coaches. Free introduction, followed up by 4x 1on1 sessions with fundamentals. After this I joined regular classes and love it!!!

    I won’t lie, being over 50 and having various ailments I thought I was finished! Apparently not. Aphobos show they are incredibly knowledgable on the human body and there’s always a scaled alternative for someone to do in the class. It never matters what the other person is doing just to do the session and just feel that progression. I still have a v long way to go but I’m loving it.

    It's one of the best crossfits that I've been. Lots of knowledge, amazing community, coaches always ask if you have any injury to give you an option scales and the best workout to suit you. We feel welcoming, so I really recommend it even for those who have never tried it before. ;)

    Amazing box, I can't recommend these guys enough! Always professional, upbeat, passionate, they have so much knowledge and are such great people. Lots of focus on technique and the programming is really varied and fun. They do everything to bring out your best performance and help you to constantly improve. 💪🏽 Loads of classes on each day and never a day with no class at all. Aphobos has so much more than just a workout, they also offer nutrition, rehab advice, massages 😎 Best thing about Bromley 💗

    Aphobos is amazing. I’ve always been interested to try CrossFit but was previously content plodding along with gym and home workouts. A couple of months ago I took the plunge and it’s been absolutely brilliant, non-CrossFit workouts will just never feel the same again! The coaches are brilliant at what they do, attentive, fun, hugely welcoming, and know how to get me to push myself! Such a friendly vibe and I come out every time feeling hyped, can’t recommend this place enough

    Friendly and fun Quality coaching Amazing huge newly built space The coaches are really caring and put all they’ve got into what they do at the box, such an amazing and lovely people I joined Aphobos more than a year ago when I just moved to Uk and it’s been the best thing I did, every one there made me feel so comfortable and fit in the new environment, lovely and caring people with good understanding of quality in what they do Can’t recommend enough

    Before starting, I wasn’t sure whether I could fit in to that formidable environment. However, I decided to take on that challenge and just jump straight into it, in my mid age. After being here for the last 10 months, I’ve found that my initial image of Aphobos was wrong. All the coaches there provide very professional tailored advice to us all. Every individual there has a different goal and strives in achieving it. I am happy for my accomplishments so far, as I continue to maintain my fitness stats (up to athlete level). Additionally, thanks to Aphobos, my mobility and metabolism levels go back to when I was younger, many years ago!!

    I’ve been to a lot of gyms in the past but have never felt as genuinely valued as a member as I do here. All the coaches are so knowledgeable and passionate which transfers to both a great, enjoyable experience and also working hard and achieving goals - whatever those might be. The facilities are great, the programming exceptional and the community one of a kind. I can’t recommend Aphobos enough!

    Gemma & Danny have created such an amazing space, atmosphere and community at Aphobos CrossFit. Everything they do is for the benefit of the members and they truly care about all of us. The coaching from every single one of the coaches is amazing - they take time to make sure everyone is comfortable and form is spot on and always help you to progress. The members are all friendly and it’s all about supporting one another! I absolutely love coming to Aphobos and look forward to every single session, I always leave with a smile on my face too! I can very highly recommend Aphobos CrossFit to anyone of any level of fitness as the workouts can be scaled accordingly! 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    I joined Aphobos October 2021. Before this I had ran a number of marathons and middle distance triathlons, but had never really done any weight training. What Gemma, Danny and all the team have created at Aphobos is very special. It’s a great environment to train with people of all ages, ability, shapes and sizes training together and encouraging each other. The training is really varied and fun and the coaches are experts in getting you moving safely and effectively. I have always had a number of persistent mobility issues and back pain; since joining Aphobos the coaches have all taken time to help me improve my mobility (including a one on one assessment) and tailoring workouts to allow me to get the most out of the session whilst being mindful of any tightness or restrictive movement. They’ve also introduced me to and worked alongside a great chiropractor to make sure they are fully aware of any issues. I couldn’t recommend them enough, a huge thank you to Gemma, Danny, Alex, Emma and Maison for all your hard work. My only regret is I didn’t join sooner!

    I’ve gone to a few CrossFit gyms over the years both in Bromley and central london. For me this gym isn’t comparable to others. Better coaches. Better owners. Better equipment even in the old box. And better members. When choosing gyms I didn’t even have to think as to which one I wanted to be a member of.

    I've been a member of Aphobos CrossFit since March 2019. From the moment you join the coaches know your name and you are made to feel extremely welcome. The coaching team (Gemma, Danny, Vanessa, Tommy, Alex and Scott) are all brilliant - not only technically proficient but great communicators too. Their main focus is getting you moving in a safe and effective manner before encouraging you to give of your best in some very challenging workouts. CrossFit is a fantastic way to not only improve your fitness, reduce stress and boost your mood, but to do it in an environment which is fun, social and supportive for all (including those who, like me, are not very athletic). The other members are a lovely bunch and very diverse - you will find young & old, male & female, a very wide range of abilities, people from all walks of life - each one contributes something special to make Aphobos such a great place. The gym facility ('box' in CrossFit speak) is large and well equipped. Aphobos is so much more than just a gym though - it's like a big family of fitness geeks who really get behind you and care about your development and wellbeing. If I could give them 6 stars I would! Keep up the great work.

    I have trained in several gyms and boxes and to be honest I have not seen people more passionate and caring about their jobs. It's amazing the quality of the box in technical and human terms. You try it, you gonna love it.

    I joined Aphobos CrossFit in Sept 20. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, professional and are all dedicated to supporting people to reach their potential through CrossFit. I feel looked after, where nothing is to much trouble. The box is a wonderful place to train with excellent facilities and I find the other members very friendly.

    I am 57 and joined Aphobos in September 2020 after more than 25 years of inactivity. I have found a many of the workouts difficult but in all cases the coaches have scaled the exercises so that I can join in with the rest of the class. At no stage have I felt neglected as soon as I struggle the coach changes my exercise to allow me to continue. It is a slow process but I am improving. From day one I have felt included and encouraged by Danny, Gemma and the coaches as well as the other members.

    I have only been a member of Aphobos for a short time but have seen a huge difference in my fitness and strength! What makes this place super special is the group of coaches who genuinely believe in you and push you to be the best version of yourself. They give cues and words of encouragement when you least expect it but most need it. In addition, the community is fab! Having trained by myself for the last couple of years, being with a group of like minded people who are supportive, friendly and welcoming is amazing. The box itself is incredible and the programming keeps me on my toes! I genuinely look forward to every class and leave every class energised (and usually very sweaty!) For anyone thinking of joining, my advice would be just do it. Like many, I really wish I had started sooner!

    "Crossfit is for everyone" is something Aphobos absolutely deliver. I've come from a background of no fitness to consistently attempting things I never thought I could achieve. Coaches are fantastic, really believe in you, and help you scale and tailor your movements so you get the most out of the programming and do a workout that tests you. Game changer. Thanks guys.

    I have just completed a four-week training cycle with the team at Aphobos, Bromley. My goals were to lose weight, stem middle aged complacency, improve my all-round fitness, enhance my limited lifting and gymnastic skillset and reignite my passion for CrossFit. Located close to central Bromley the venue is easily reachable by public transport and offers off street car and cycle parking. A modern ‘box’ that is secure, spacious and well designed; I have not visited a venue so well laid out. Daily workouts are published in advance via an Aphobos App and each and every class starts at the whiteboard with a coach led briefing where the class workout(s) is/are explained. Hopes, fears, challenges, injuries, expectations and outcomes are all briefed and discussed. The spec of the equipment available to all members is of the highest quality, the Aphobos box is extremely well resourced. The Coaches: I did not meet Gemma but a big thanks to Danny, Emma, Scott and Alex, also to George who will be an asset to the team in years to come. What a team!!! Diversity in skillset, experience, qualification and know how. All coaches are ‘can-do’ and display empathy with a good sense of humour, they demonstrate understanding and address individual needs and goals. The Coaching: Personal training needs are addressed, there is ‘no one cap fits all’ mentality here. The classes are truly diverse and workouts are adapted by the coaches to cater for any injuries, differing skillsets and abilities; yet the classes are always challenging. There is a bias towards not running before you can walk, safety and injury avoidance. This is particularly evident in terms of weightlifting where starters are taught and accredited with basic and intermediate lifting skills, before those members are allowed to lift in class. I was particularly impressed with the constant prompts, advice, and practical demonstration from the coaches; they are always on-hand or ‘in your ear’ with encouragement and advice; often when you least expect it and most need it. Inclusivity is evident at Aphobos, ‘everyone’ is coached, irrespective of ability or skillset. The Aphobos members: What a friendly and diverse community, real good people. I enjoyed the one-team ethic and especially the unified encouragement displayed by class members, who having completed their programmed workouts, supported those that were ‘still going’ and yet to finish (normally me). I am looking forward to when I can next train there, a big thanks to everyone involved. In terms of a summary and in comparison to other boxes that I have attended, I really cannot fault Aphobos. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Aphobos to anyone who might be looking for a lifestyle change or a new start in terms of complementing or enhancing physical and personal fitness. So… what of the goals I set myself? I finished week four just under 4 kilos lighter than week 1. My overall fitness improved. My skillset needs a lot of work but I have improved, I have a long (long) way to go in all areas. My passion for CrossFit, and all-round fitness has been reignited. The ‘pause’ button has been replaced by the ‘play’ button. Thanks again to everyone concerned. Rich.

    I joined aphobos to take my fitness journey to the next level. I’ve always trained just lifting weights and wanted more from my workouts. From the off danny, Alex, emma and Gemma were faultless. My mind was blown with the level of care and attention to detail with technique on all forms of exercises and lifting. I have restricted movements in my ankles from birth and instead of feeling not good enough the whole team scale movements and show a level of care that is unprecedented. You are treated as an individual rather than just a number in the box. Can’t fault it. Changed my life for the better. Not just fitness and mobility wise but mentally also. Love it. Thank you.

    I'm a really new member at Aphobos but I already want to recommend it to others! The coaches and members are super friendly and supportive which makes you feel like you're part of a community rather than just a member at a gym. All the coaches are really committed to helping every member reach their potential, regardless of what level you're starting out at. & You really feel that you're getting a lot 1-1 coaching, even in groups which makes all the difference to your technique and performance. Equally, there is generally such a positive atmosphere in the Aphobos box which pushes you to try your best and really challenge yourself. The facilities and equipment are also fantastic. The CrossFit programme is well organised, what more can I say...! :) I'd recommend Aphobos to all!

    Aphobos CrossFit Bromley are the most welcoming Box i have ever been to. Not only do they coach you in all the aspects of strength, mobility and speed, they also help you work on goals you may have and are always challenging you to be better than you were before you arrived at each class. The team are professional, very knowledgeable and always fun to be around. They make you feel welcome no matter what background you are or what sport you come from. I would encourage anyone wanting to better themselves to give them a go, I am so glad i did.

    I joined Aphobos aged 57 with the intention to focus on functional fitness and battle the inevitable natural strength deterioration that happens from mid-age. I called it my ‘war against a walker’. I am now 60+ and train 5-7 times a week at Aphobos across the range of classes the gym offers. I never imagined I would gain the amount of EXTRA strength I have and be doing gymnastic movements. The word Aphobos means brave (without fear) and joining this gym has changed my mental health as well as physical - the level of coaching and encouragement within the community is exceptional. In 3.5years I have never felt underestimated by any coach or member. CrossFit is for anyBODY and if you trust the process, you will find all you need is right here in one place with structure, belief, appropriate scaling, amazing facilities and coaches, and encouragement to enable you to be the best version of yourself, not only in the classes but in daily life also. Proud to be called an Aphobos Athlete!

    Absolutely love Aphobos CrossFit! The facilities are top-notch with all the equipment needed for CrossFit and Olympic weightlifting. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help you progress. But what sets Aphobos apart is its amazing community—supportive, welcoming, and genuinely committed to helping you succeed. Hands down the best CrossFit gym I've ever been a part of!

    I have always valued the high level of coaching standards at Aphobos. The team understand the importance of the foundation movements, in order to then progress. There is always a sense of community amongst the coaching team and the members. I love training here and would definitely recommend it to those who want to give crossfit a try and see results.
