Good place to visit on the way near Chitradurg city on National Highway 4, this place is called as Punyabhoomi (ಪುಣ್ಯಭೂಮಿ), a grave (ಸಮಾಧಿ) and memorial of Sri Siddavvanahalli Nijalingappa born 10th December 1902 died on 8th August 2000, he was a tall politician, Indian national leader from Karnataka State, was Chief Minister of the Government of Karnataka, this memorial was inaugurated by Nobel Prize Awardee and the religious guru of Buddhist Tibet, His Holiness Dalai Lama on 29th January 2011

Very nice memorial for one of the finest leaders India's electoral politics has seen. This memorial is right off the Bangalore Mumbai highway as you cross Chitradurga. It's perfect spot to take a break during your journey as there is a nice restaurant , right next door.
