The quality of Breakfast is quite good, service is pretty quick. If only they pay a little more attention to the cleanliness of the Washrooms on weekends it would be great !

Authentic udupi style restaurant.... Too many varieties and taste is too good. The hospitality they provide is memorable. Lots of tables and crew is very helpful and decent... they have wallet parking at basement. Nice hotel to have your breakfast or ice cream....

Good vegetarian restaurant in the city centre of Udupi, close Udupi Shri Krishna Mutt and Bus Stand. Serves various vegetarian food including breakfast, snacks, chinese items, rotis, desserts, fruit juices, icecreams etc. This place is usually crowded because of the shopping mall above & around it. Service might take 20-25mins once the order is placed, be ready for that. Few South Indian snacks might end up half baked/ fried in the hurry burry preparations. Parking space might be confusing but security guards will help you with it.

We were traveling from Chikmagaluru to Mangalore when we thought of stopping for some breakfast. And since we were keen to try traditional South Indian food anyway, this was recommended. There were few people when we entered the restaurant since it was morning. But we were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant neat and clean. We ordered Rava Masala Dosa, Steamed Idli, Medu Vada, Butter Sada Dosa, and a few cups of Filter Coffee for breakfast. The rava masala dosa was delicious. The texture was the same as in rava dosas. Still, the Masala filling of mashed potatoes made it taste even better. The steamed Idli was something I had never experienced myself. Not only were they tasty, but they were simply melting in the mouth. Perfectly steamed and soft, the taste was like none other. The medu vada was crunchy on the outside yet soft from the inside. Paired with the sambar dip and coconut chutney, it tasted delicious. The best thing about it was there were no marks of being over-fried or burnt, and the oil was fresh. The butter sada dosa, true to its name, had a generous amount of butter on the inside and was paper thin yet soft. The filter coffee was the traditional one found only in south India. Slightly bitter to taste but was strong enough to invigorate you in the morning. And it was perfectly blended and brewed with the milk with precisely the right amount of sugar. The food was delicious, and the service and the ambiance made it perfect.

Cheapest authentic south Indian vegg food at a AC restaurant in Udupi. We went in the afternoon, and ordered table full of vegetarian breakfast and coffees. After looking at the bill we were so surprised. Great service, good food, and authentic. Can try everything in the menu without any questions.

We had around 8-9 items all were bad.. staff were good and humble. Even they changed our hot and sour to french onion soup based on our request to avoid mushrooms in it (they didn’t charge for exchanging it) while all that is appreciable. The taste of most of the items are not basic expectations. In general you cannot count it in top 5 restaurants in city.

A great vegetarian option in Udupi. They have a great variety of South Indian as well as north Indian delicacies. The ambience is decent, so is the service. (fast enough to not keep you waiting). Masala Papad was served at an express speed of 4-5 mins :P We ordered mushroom masala and paneer tikka masala along with variety or bread like naan , parotha , roti, etc Food is delicious and quite economical too! The place is not too crowded in the morning, however, post 7.30pm the waiting time can be more than 20-30 minutes. So, plan accordingly for dinner. Atlast we ordered Barry lake ice cream float, chocolate shake, black currant shake, musk melon shake.

Great place to have breakfast in a clean and spacious veg restaurant. Enjoyed their idli wada sambar in which idli was fluffy, soft and wada crispy & big. Also Mysore masala dosa was enjoyed with great delight. Only disappointment was the sambar served in both was not up to the mark. It could have been more better. Lastly, Badam milk and Nescafe both were really refreshing and good in taste. Nice experience in Udupi to have such a beautiful restaurant serving to customer satisfaction.

The food was good. We tried Mysore masala dosa, coffee and ginger tea. The taste was good with the cost being reasonable. A lot of variety to try out for. Many good food options at this place. A good place to dine in for any time of the day. The behaviour of the staff was good and the service was quite fast. A good option when you are at the Udupi Bus stand.

Taste is not good. I even found a plastic piece in masala dosa stuffing.. chats are just average level nothing spl to mention.. if you happen to visit Udupi rarely try other restaurants such as woodlands or pai tiffins .. you won’t hve memorable experience of authentic food taste of Udupi here in new shanti sagar.. First time visitors do avoid this one..

Visited here multiple times and each time dishes taste different. But in average food is good & I recommend this place to everyone. In the photo below, there's Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Manchurian & Tomato soup. The former tastes the best along with rotis and Mushroom Kadai. Chaats like Masal puri, Pani puri taste heavenly if you're fortunate. Icecreams are good too.

As soon as we got down from the train, our friend brought us straight to this restaurant for a hearty breakfast. Normal canteen like decor. Spacious and clean. Food here was really good. We had dosa, and fluffy idli sambar. Then finished the meal with South Indian filter coffee and kulhad tea which were so very good and refreshing. Pocket friendly hearty meal it was ❤️

Its in a good location. Food is average. We have ordered 3 types of icecream - gadbad, icecream with dry fruits and fruit salad with vanilla ice cream. Gadbad was fine, the second one was good and the third one was not that much good. Waiting time was about 10 minutes. It was about 5 - 5.30 pm and the restaurant was partially crowded. We had brought panner thika (parcel) which was very tasty.

Service was very good and the food was also tasty. This is a pure veg restaurant but we still enjoyed our paneer fried rice and south Indian thali. It was a nice place to have lunch after shopping at Dmart.

Hygienic and clean restaurant with a variety of dishes. Fruits, salad, ice cream, soup etc etc North Indian snacks also available. We tried special shanthi Sagar dosa, it was very tasty and the best part is its prices which are extremely low compared to prices we see in such restaurants at other tourist places.

There's parking available. The restaurant is quite spacious with a pretty ambience. The service was quick and good. The food was Okayish. We ordered Manchow soup which wasn't great, Mushroom starter which was great, 2 maincourse and roti Naan.

By far the best Buns I have tried , real fresh taste amazing along with the chutney and sambhar this is a must try item , afternoon peak time will be filled with people which tells the story in its own , staff is fast and responsive and the food quality is the USP must try place really enjoyed

This hotel is decently crowded. We went at 10 in the night and even by then the place was almost full even though very few items were left. We thought of trying some dishes over there but most of them were not available. So we ordered capsicum masala, tandoori roti and kulcha. The paneer masala was delicious. We loved it. And the tandoori roti and kulcha was good. We are rating this based on those three dishes which we had and not sure about other items or best items available there. Our rating is 3.75/5. (AC Restaurant) Burgers or Italian dishes aren't good here.. If you want to have delicious dishes from this place then Order Masala dosa Pulau Meals (thali) Buns etc. Rice items 1. Mughlai biriyaani Potato, paneer, fried toast, beetroot are loaded all over the biriyaani.. Medium spicy Noodles is really good .. Didn't expect it to be good here, as it is a proper south indian restaurant. All the Indian dishes are really good here so no worries, specially south Indian dishes are very good.

This is a conveniently located restaurant, in a shopping centre. Thus we can see all the shoppers stop there for refreshments. Very spacious, good staff, commendable service Nd exceptionally clean. About their food, south Indian snacks are really good. Must try are their rava dosas, meals, and chats are really good. But wouldn't recommend their ice creams.
