Doesn’t feel like a safari as we saw mostly caged animals because of road construction work within the safari limit. Compared to bannerghatta safari, this one hosts only fewer animals. Black buck was one of the rare find. Zoo also hosts variety of animals in a well maintained atmosphere. Animals looked healthy. Colourful birds were feast for the eyes. Big open parking space. Note: Maintain silence within the zoo, especially educate your children as animals seem disturbed with noise.

This zoo is located in Hospet, Ballari. Its spread across 141 hectares, the park has various animals such as Tiger, Lion, Deer, Sambar, and others. Several other animals like crocs, hyenas, leopard, bear, turtle, fox and langur can be also seen. The Zoo has more than 80 species of birds. There is an adoption program in the zoo, which is a novel way to show our support and care for wild animals. By adopting your favourite animal, you will contribute towards feeding of the animal for one year or for the entire period of adoption. Various adoption plans are available to choose from such as Diamond class, Gold class, Silver class, Bronze class. The different animals are categorized within these classes. Adoption amount is exempted (50%) under 80G of the Income tax act. Zoo timing is from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Its closed on Tuesday. The zoo ticket for adults is Rs. 50 and for child its Rs. 25. You can also buy zoo plus safari tickets at the cost of Rs. 150 for adults and Rs. 75 for child. The entry is free for children below 6 years. The group jeep safari is also available that can accommodate 5 passengers. It costs Rs. 1250. The parking facility is available but on chargeable basis. For four wheelers its Rs. 20 and for two wheelers, its Rs. 10.

It's an ideal destination for a single visit with children. The safari experience is truly remarkable, and the kids had a great time observing tigers and lions up close. Following the safari, you can explore the zoo and encounter various animals like crocodiles, hippos, tigers, leopards, giraffes, and a variety of birds. Ticket prices include 200 INR for the bus safari, 1500 INR for the closed Jeep safari, and 3500 INR for an open Jeep safari accommodating up to 5 people.

    1. This zoo is around 6 km from archelogical museum. This 6 km road is very nice. 2. The entire zoo is around 2.5 km of stretch. So, it's difficult to walk in sunny days. 3. You have 3 options: only zoo (by walk), zoo + safari (It's Bus), zoo+ personal safari. Only zoo costs you Rs. 75, Zoo+safari --》Rs. 200, Zoo+personal safari --》Rs. 1500. 3. Carry water, shoes, hat/umbrella, if planning to cover by walk. 4. You'll find RO water and toilet inside zoo. 5. It's in the construction phase so you should not expect much. 6. Zoo will disappoint you if you're looking for large zoo. It's small in terms of animals even though stretch is 2.5 km. 7. paid parkings are available. Rs. 20 for Bike and Rs. 50 for car. 8. It might take upto 10 min - 30 min to buy ticket. The staff was not responding property. 9. Just outside zoo, you can find few snacks & ice-cream shops.

The zoo enclosures have very few animals but they are well looked after and hence healthy. The safari by bus is a good attempt to showcase animals in the wild. There is a road construction going on inside which prevented the safari to all enclosures. Very neat and clean. Must be made better so 4 stars. Keep it up.

The place is huge and well maintained. The zoo safari is very nice. It costed 1250/- for a private vehicle, and costs 150/- per person in a mini bus. We will definitely get to see lions, tigers and lots of deers, peacocks. Apart from the safari, the mini zoo is well maintained and meant for kids.

I have done a safari in a bus which costs around 150 rupees and it was in maximum capacity. I will recommend taking a jeep Safari instead. The reason being, leisure watching. Though you can watch the animal sitting in your seat, it will be crowded with passengers from other seats as they too want to catch a good glimpse. Also do remember, you need not get down at zoo but can go back to parking in the same bus of you are not interested in watching caged animals. Please do adopt any animal. This facility has an adoption program

The good part about this zoo is that there are large enclosures for the animals to roam free making it more like a sanctuary. There is a large scope for this destination to start night safaris and trails as this would be unique and one of a kind. One of the loophole was that vehicles are taken very close to the animals which is a bit reckless on the part of the drivers at the cost of appeasement of the tourists.

This zoo is on the way to Hampi, its a small zoo where you can get to see 20 to 25 species. The zoo ticket can be bought at the entrance which costs ₹75 for zoo only and ₹150 for both zoo and safari. The ride starts with safari where you will see lion and tiger and then they will drop us at zoo in the same safari vehicle. In zoo we can see other animals and birds and then the same vehicle will take us back to the exit. It is still under construction and we can spend around 2 hours here.

We could see lions , tigers and deers roaming in the protected jungle , It was a wonderful experience . All the safety arrangements are made for the protection of the animals and the visitors of the zoo. A must visit place near Hampi .

Fantast start in Namma Hosapete!!! however long way to enhance. Must experience!! Well maintained. Officer named GIRI Sir accompanied our safari drive, he's friendly and had very good knowledge explaining unknown facts about wild lives, their cute-funny names, habits and behavior also Do's and Dont's. At very first we were striked by one of the lion left freely, its kinda mixed emotion watching him sooo closely with straight look eye-to-eye and indeed thrilling 😄 would have been more safari than watching caged animals. Hopefully they make it more excitingly adventurous soon... Price - 150/person in bus 1250/person or group of 5 in Jeep I'd suggest take a bus bcos it's going to be very short safari and then you'll be dropped nearby zoo to explore caged animals/birds Overall it's worth spending time with family and kids.

There is animal adoption available. One can adopt animals, birds. Safari staff's were very kind, this zoo is yet to develop with dense forest. Entrance and parking yards to be construct. More animals like elephant 🐘 giraffe 🦒, to be added to this zoo, This will become most attractive place in northern Karnataka.

The completion work is under progress but still it’s wonderful place to visit as it gives the thrill of safari in a zoo. Would love to visit again when it’s fully functional.

If you are close to Hampi please visit this amazing place! Well maintained and they offer a open Safari, The animals will be set free and the public get to visit in a caged vehicle. Such a different experience! I saw a lion named Dhananjay so close that I was thrilled. Kids will love this place. A well maintained government property. Good Job Team.

One of the worst zoo I have ever visited. What it defines as SAFARI is also a eye wash. It's just 15 minutes and two tigers in side the cage. Also who so ever had the idea of naming this zoo in the name of the great ABV, was actually ruining his name instead of glorifying. Lastly its still under development, may be it will take another 15 years to designate as a zoo.

Safari lasts only for 10-15mins. And you get to see Lion, Tiger and Deers during the Safari. But once you get inside the zoo, it has many wild animals and birds.

This is a well-kept zoological park. We went on a Jeep safari, and the prices were reasonable. It cost us roughly 1250/- for two adults and two children. One tiger, Lion, was let free to walk around the jeep. This was a fantastic experience that anyone may have. We had to walk around after the jeep excursion to see additional animals. This location is clean and growing. Apart from the extreme heat and sun, this is a pleasant area to visit with children.

Good place for one day trip, you can see few major animals, safari is also available but you can see only two lions and three tigers at same spot everytime. But still a good place to spend some quality time.

Great safari ride, they have one white Tiger as well. They come out on rotational basis and we missed it 😭. The place is amazing. Visit is recommended in winter time 😁

It was really fascinating to see wild animals in a safer environment accompanied by guides and safety vehicles . It was a joyous ride from the entrance up until in the end as we could see various species of wild animals.
