Entry fee is 10₹ for all above 10 years of age. There's wheelchair access and cooperative staff. Space inside is dark and not all fish tanks are clean I suggest the authorities to look after the issue. The collection of fish is superb! It is worth spending time and money on this place. Children will enjoy.

DO NOT GO HERE. It's a very small place. No great collection of fishes. They just have few species. We can see more number of species in any aquarium shop. No proper maintenance. No lightings in the building except the lights present inside the aquarium. Waste of time.

One of the biggest aquarium in banglore Karnataka. Really It was amazing place for me. Bangalore Aquarium, also known as Government Aquarium, is the second largest aquarium in India. It is located at the entrance of Cubbon Park in Bangalore, India, and was established in 1983. It has a variety of exotic cultivable as well as ornamental fish on display. It is very near to vishweshwarayya museum.

A very nice place to see various fish varieties. There are couple of floors in a circle format and fish tanks are along the walls. Most of the tanks have fishes with lots of varieties. I would say this is a 20-30min place and not more than that. Tickets are very reasonably priced at 10rs each.

Entry fee just 10rs As the fee suggest the aquarium isn't that great with hardly any variety and it gets over in just 10-15 min. MONDAY CLOSED..! It's poorly maintained and there is no Air conditioning..! ⅛ of all tanks are of gold fish..! It's a starter pack if u haven't visited any aquarium before in your life otherwise you can give this one a miss and you won't regret..! If u r curious u can rather see the photos i have posted below to save your that 10rs as well. If you have a lot of free time and maybe you are waiting for someone and want to pass time then you can definitely visit it..!

Entry fee is ₹10 for people above 10yrs of age. Not that well maintained. Decent place and it doesn't provide much information except for the name of the fish and species which is kinda disappointing when it comes knowing more about the species. But overall a nice place to just roam around.

Good place to take kids to experience a variety of water life. Small centre, can spend 30-40 mins looking at fishes and reading about them. Can be developed a lot more by adding more fishes and also please consider avoiding people getting food inside the centre. People were eating a lot of snacks and were making a mess everywhere inside. Ticket -20/person Duration- 40 mins Good visit

A nice place with good collection of fishes.. Not very neat.. Some of the tanks are empty. Maybe due to covid, the tanks have not been maintained. Can increase the entrance fee and use that to promote and maintain the place better.

Entry fee is 10 rs only! Really cute place. It is small. You can finish looking at this in 15 to 20 mins. The place closes at 5 30 pm. There are separate fish tanks with cat fish, gold dish, snake fish, gold moore fish, albino fish, etc. A nice variety of fishes. Kids will really love this place. It is near cubbon park. There are some street eateries present outside

This is a Government Aquarium with a price of 10/- per person as an entry fee. There are multiple aquariums across two floors. First floor has comparatively larger fishes and the second floor has smaller fishes. You will get to see many varieties of fishes with their names and types of food they eat here. The visit was soothing to the eye. We went on Sunday and there was no much crowd. We got enough time to have a good look at each fish.

Only a few small fish specimens were there. Ticket price was ₹10/adult. The tanks were not cleaned properly. The lighting wasn't optimum either. There was no proper ventilation in the building which got worse with crowd. Not worth the trip.

I would say this is a 20-30min place and not more than that. Tickets are very reasonably priced at 10rs each. If you are in the neighbourhood, you may visit this aquarium. But there is no need for you to go out of your way to visit here. There isn't much to see. A ₹10 entry fee will get you into a dark circular room, surrounded by small/medium aquariums. A staircase will take you upstairs. The fishes...well...are colourful, and of different sizes and shapes. Some can swim backwards. Some are tiny. Some are just lazy! The sting ray caught my attention. That was cool. The place is poorly lit, which I think is intentional. The maintenance is average. I did not see any staff inside. Just the Ticket Counter staff outside.

Good place to visit on weekends. Especially kids will enjoy. Quit a good collection of fishes are presented here. Though we couldn't find a Dory fish 🥰. The environment around the aquarium is very cool, lots of eatables you'll find near by. Also, take care of parking there are cops waiting to snatch your vehicles by making the no parking board completely hidden, its hard to locate..

It costs Rs. 10 per person for the tickets, has two floors and roughly about 30 different species of fishes. Each type of fish that you see in the aquarium has its description as to what is its origin, how do they breed and so on. It's good and educated for kids. Goverment can think of getting more number of different species of fishes. Rated 2 as its only worth Rs. 10 and you can see these fishes, read about them, take photos and come out in 10 minutes.

I took my 7 year old to the Aquarium as an educational trip, she was excited to see the different varieties of fishes so the trip was successful. However, I do feel that the aquarium lacked maintenance - the glass tanks were dirty and few had scratches which made it blurry. There wasn't proper lighting along the path way or on the staircase. The fishes and their variety didn't disappoint me, but the state of the place did. I hope the right amount of funds reach this place and make this a want to go place.

The government aquarium is in a corner of a road with trees around. A ramp is provided in the entrance. As you enter you can see the aquarium in a circular shape with a staircase in the centre. Railings are provided around the aquarium but no ramps to reach the first floor. The place is too dark, no openings are provided and no lightings. No cctv which States that there is no security. It is not clean, the entrance fee is 10 rupees but can we increase and made the place better.

Ticket price here is 10Rs. This aquarium holds quite a few exotic fish like a decent sized Alligator gar, Arowana, Snake Head, some catfish, and rest everything you commonly find in any aquarium shops. The same old goldfish, Molly, shark(catfish), Tetras etc. If you are here in Cubbon park you can visit it once. Kids will find it exiting though.

Small but good. Not all exhibits have information but most do. We felt that some of the aquariums needed to be larger for the large fish in them but most are adequate.it’s worth a quick visit if you’re nearby or walking through the park. Aquarium was good. But not many varieties presented. Few of the tanks were empty. I think the description plate should have been in a well lit place. It was hard to follow for us adults. Kids wouldn't even bother to try. Lights outside the aquarium was off trying to give us an illuminated feel. It was very crowded because it was the new year day. Over all it was fine.

This is a government Aquarium, also known as the Bangalore aquarium. It is situated next to the cubbon park. Though the aquarium is good, it lacks a lot of things. If the maintenance was proper, it would been lot better. The lights were dim,few of the tanks were empty. Mostly the same variety was repeated and very few varieties were displayed. The names of the fishes were displayed on papers and small boards. It wasn't very legible because of dim lighting. The entry fee is really less, only around Rs. 15/- per head. It would be a thriller for kids who come to Bal Bhavan or cubbon park as well as short pass time for the adults.

Government Aquarium is located in Kasturba Road, Shanthala Nagar Bangalore. It is also being referred as Bangalore Aquarium and is the second largest aquarium in India. The Aquarium is located at the entrance of Cubbon Park in Bangalore, India which was established in the year 1983. Have been here couple of times while visiting Cubbon Park and firstly I feel that the Aquarium is not maintained properly for sure. Wish the management takes good care of it by renovating it. There are total two floors inside the building. Visiting hours are from 10 in the morning till 6 in the evening. One can compete seeing all varieties of fish in an hour's time. The entry fee is 10 rupees per person. There is still an opportunity for the management to work on the loophole and convert the place as an attraction amongst the locals and the tourist.

Not soo good better to visit Aquarium shops than this government aquarium. Only one item that is tadpole that you cant find in aquarium shops. Remaining all are available in aquarium shop.. They have to develop a lot. My suggestion is to not visit government aquarium. 10times better to visit big aquarium shops

This place can do huge amount of improvements in their infrastructure. Currently small fish tanks with very common fishes are kept for display which can be found in lot of fish selling shops. Size of tanks can be improved to accommodate big fishes or more quantity of fish types which are not commonly available. This will result in attracting more visitors. With current ticket price arrangements are at par however to improve as a popular and satisfying tourist place serious turnaround required and government should increase entry ticket price if required to implement these changes.

Good Place For Kids, Super Experience, Beautiful fishes inside, Different kinds of fishes are there, With very low entry charges of Rupess 10. You should buy ticket outside itself. Building consists of 2 floors, in 1st and 2nd floor you can see variety of fishes, Go with kids it will be amazing and joyful

its a great place to visit. There are more than 50 types of fishes. Although it's too small but if you like fishes and you are nearby, you should visit.

Glory of old Bangalore in a sorry state now. Superbly located with a potential to be an amazing outing option to kids. Though the place is maintained fine, it needs some capital investment to upgrade the infra. The multi storied building can be redone to be a 3 level aquarium harboring lot of entertainment.

Nicely built and is the best place to visit for children and adults. This is near the cubbon park .The entry fee is Rs 20 per person. It is double story building with fish varieties. Government has done it's part in maintaining it for the public. It displays the perfect information with all the necessary details. Recommended for children and travelers.

Nice place to visit with kids, the entrance is of ₹10 for adults. It's a two level exibition. The place is neatly maintained, only the ventilation is not up to mark and the ambience as well. This needs to be worked on for better visitor experience. it's open till 17:30

White Peafowl Simply majestic, dazzling, and unique. This type of peafowl offers white feathering throughout with elegant, lacy tail feathers. A regal addition to any property, a white peafowl will certainly be the topic of conversation. A male India Blue Peacock can mate with a White peahen. White peafowl are a color variety of the India Blue Peacock. They are considered leucistic, a condition that affects the birds' feathers and turns them pale or white. Leucism differs from albinism in that this variety of peafowl has blue tinted eyes and lacks normal pigmentation, rather than no pigmentation in the eyes or feathers Range: While it is believed that White Peafowl do occur naturally, they are not common in the wild. It is possible that there are White Peafowl living in the wild in the natural range of India Blue Peafowl - across India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Habitat: Peafowl can live in a variety of habitats, including deciduous forests and cultivated lands. Status in the wild: Peafowl face no danger in their native range. Status in aviculture: Peafowl have been raised in captivity for centuries. Historical documents mention them in Egypt, Greece, and Rome during ancient times. They are kept in zoos, aviaries, and by individuals all over the world today. Breeding Season: The breeding season varies depending on several factors, but should fall somewhere between March and July in the United States. Clutch Size: 6 - 8 eggs Incubation Period: 28 days

The amenity needs to be revamped big time. The building and facilities seems to be older than 90s era. Extremely disappointed with the dingy ambience and feeling sorry for the fish for given a box size aquarium cage.

Had a fun time watching beautiful colorful fishes. There are lot of varities and species. Only thing to improve is : aquarium glass needs cleaning. Overall it was good.

  • 4/5 Anil k. 2 years ago on Google
Very good aquarium at just an entry fee of Rs 10. You find a lot of fishes there. You will find a lot of gold fishes at this spot. There are fishes which are brought from other countries too. I find the Albino Oscars the most beautiful fish at this aquarium. You can happily spend 1 hour in seeing the beautiful creatures and stroll sometime at the Clubbon Park. This aquarium is started by General of Mysore in 1972 and still it's intact. Some improvements can be still made adding few more beautiful fishes. Overall a nice place to visit.

My expectations for this place were very low, but it turned out more than my expectation. One of the must-see places in Bengaluru. If you plan to visit this location, you can collaborate with: Vidhan Soudha, Cubbon Park, Museum, and Ub City Mall.
