Regarding swimming or bathing, please take extra precaution, as water depth is unpredictable, it's rocky, and water is having swirling movement, also not much crowded/and no lifeguard. Very clean place, but no food outlets, at all. A request - Please don't litter, and maintain cleanliness of the place.

Beautiful lake near hampi to spend a nice evening. There is a coracle ride available for 400-500 per person. It's costly and short. Not very worth it but still gives a good vibe. Cliff jumping is possible here for 150 per person which is super cool. The parking is congested. The road is pretty bad too. For 4 wheelers it's going to be a little difficult.

A beautiful place to enjoy lake side, coracle ride and cliff jumping. Actually, it's a reservoir to collect tunghabhdra river water for public use. The lake was clean and had great view. You can enjoy coracle ride. There are two kinds of ride short and long ride. Short ride is for 10-15 mins with the charge of 200 Rs and long ride is for 45 mins, they 3000-3500 Rs for 5 person. The overall experience was awesome during the ride. They will spin the boat for a minute or two and it’ll give a great experience for a life. I would recommend one should must try coracle ride. There are 2-3 places on the lake side for this ride so just look around for the price to avoid paying more than the price. Sometime they asked you to hire a complete coracle if you are less than 5 person. The place have free parking, road is little bad on the lake side however manageable.

Nice view from here. There are few rocks and also the place is good for clicking photos. There are coracle boat rides at two points in the lake. These rides vary from 10 min to 45 min. We went on a Sunday, but it was not crowded. The road (around 100m) near to the lake is very small in width, having space for one car and a bike to pass through. There was a little wait time at the entrance of this by-lake road.

Located just 5kms from Virupaksha temple in hampi. To reach this place we had to cross river Tungabhadra. There is Ferry point available. Once we crossed, we took bikes for rent and reached the destination. It was so amazing lake ever. It's jus marvelous. We spent wonderful time together.

This is a superb scenic view, a must-visit place in Hampi. cliff jump and coracle ride are a highlight here. Enjoy a serene view of the rocky hillock on one side and a huge water body on the other. We went around 4pm and finished cliff jump. The cliff is around 25feet and the water at the cliff jump point is around 30 feet, whereas the water at the lake centre was around 90 ft when we went.

It was memorable to be here. Must visit place at Hampi. Its towards Hippie island and hence far from main temple side. You need your own transport to reach here. It's a good visit at any time of the day. You can go for coracle ride as well here. They would charge anything between 450 for full boat to 150/head. 4-5 ppl can sit at a time.

A large natural water body north of the river Tungabhadra. With clean and cold water it's a perfect way to escape the scorching heat of Hampi. If you know swimming, it's ideal for a dip. Do not dive or jump because the shallow waters have rocks beneath them. Do visit this lake when you plan to explore the north side of Hampi. The road to Sanapur lake takes you through vast green paddy fields with ample spots to take pictures and stop for a breath. There are places to park your vehicle. In some areas you can take your car right near the water.

This is the reason i went to Hampi in the first place. We reached sanapur lake around 3 and did cliff jumping. Get inside the fencing to the right just before you cross the bridge of the lake and go straight. You will find some people there, there is a spot for cliff jumping, but it is on our own so be cautious. Try it only if you know how to swim and be in a group to avoid any casualities. Enjoy the sunset there or head to hanuman temple which is 15 minutes ride from there.

You can drive on the reservoir road (which is not in great shape but still drivable). You will not be able to see lake till you reach very close to it as it is completely hidden. We were free that day so decided to explore the nearby places also, there are small villages before Sanapur lake and after crossing the lake there is a canal along the road and hills of boulders both the sides which was scenic to watch while my car. Sanpur Lake is a paradise for cliff divers many people with there Gopro were indulge in cliff diving. Apart from that you can enjoy coracle ride at the Sanapur lake. This place seems to another world. It was not at all like how imagined. It was huge and was bordered with hillocks which were densely filled with different sized boulders. I suggest you not to skip Sanapur lake when you are in Hampi. Try to make it for sunrise, if not, at least include this place in your itinerary. You can opt for a coracle ride too. Coracle ride costed us 800rs for 4 ppl for long ride.

The cost of which is 500-600 for a long ride (40-60 mins) short ride 300(20-30 mins). The cost is not per person but per coracle boat.

It's lake on Back waters of sanapur dam. It's beautiful place with all big stones around back waters. Big rocks names whispering stones. The water where it is released from dam is under bridge where flow is high beautiful to watch. Also there is water jumping point ,it is chargeable with safety jacket and they also shoot your video. And on other side there is bamboo round boat available with charges around 2k INR. 20-30 MIN boat ride whic is very nice experience. Please do visit when in hampi .
