Beautiful place, must visit. It was the pushkarini of the Rama Temple. Very nice temple pond with beautiful gares and mantaps. After the Rama Temple was destroyed by invaders, it had a Musafir khana built by the invader.

The Place looks great, although it needs a bit of a maintenance. The Pond consists of variety of aquatic creatures such as fishes, etc. and a few reptiles such as turtle, snakes etc. The Lawn needs a bit of a maintenance. The authority should work in keeping the place clean. People need to be aware that it is a historic place and need to stop spitting PAN all over the place.

A lovely , picturesque landmark , close to Davangere . Very clean and well maintained tank with a central pavilion and six other mantapas all around . The decorations on the central pavilion like images of elephants, lions and birds are finely made . There are steps leading to the water on all four sides , but going near water is prohibited. A large stone building called Musafirkhana stands in front of the tank . The signboard kept in the premises does not give any information about the period or purpose of the pushkarini , so its historical importance is unknown.

There has been so so many childhood memories associated with place. Used be there for most of the summer vacations. The last visit for this place with the family was just pure bliss. For me this place is an emotion more than an historical monument.

It's very good place for family visit for a weekend. There is large water tank with lots of fish of various sizes. The pond has good number of steps with stones. It also has MasafurKana which translated in English means Travels Rest place. It also has a good garden with lush greenery. This also has 8 towers overlooking the Pond.

One of the the historical places in Davanagere. It is very beautiful to just look at the picturesque location with beautiful carved structures with water surrounding it. There is not much crowd usually. No entrance fee as well. But it's a very calm and pleasant place to spend time and relax.

A beautiful and peaceful area to spend some time relishing the history. Exceptional architecture made for the central sacred pool with steps leading towards the pool from 4 sides. A small building is attached to the pool which is not as beautiful as the surroundings, now serves as just another visiting place. Rest assured, you’re going to come for the beauty of the pool and the steps and be surprised by the architecture of 16th century and present day brick and mortar buildings. Happy travelling.

It’s great place to visit if you are passing by Santhebennur or if you are visiting Shanthi Sagar man made second largest lake. It’s 16kms from Shanthi Sagar lake and the road is good county side scenic. Except these pond there is absolutely nothing over in Santhebennur and it’s not must visit place but it’s good to visit if you are in and around this place. From this place the road to Davangere is very good State highway with one toll. Need to be careful with 2 wheelers and tractors.

This place is located right on the main road. It closes at 5.30 pm. But the watchmen allowed us when we had come at 6.15 pm. It is a 40 minute drive from Davangere. The road is very good except for 2-3 deviations in between. The place is well maintained. There is no entrance ticket for this. One can spend a relaxing time of 30 minutes alone or one hour if they have come for photoshoot. It is not symmetrical. There is a big pool of water (Honda) which has numerous fish of different sizes.

One of the things that struck me about this place was its simplicity. It's not a fancy tourist attraction with lots of amenities or crowds of people. Instead, it's a place where you can slow down, relax, and connect with nature. You can sit by the pond's edge, feel the cool breeze on your face, and listen to the soothing sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves.

The Honda was built in 16th century by Kenga Hanumantappa Nayaka. Later Ranadullakhan built musafirkhana (a rest house for travellers) and mosque in the area. The place is around 36kms from Davangere. We visited this place while returning to Bangalore from Davangere. The pond and structures look marvelous. However, recording videos are not allowed. Please adhere to the rules. You can walk around the pond. It has fish , few ducks. It worth visiting. Timings 7am-6pm.

This is one of them hidden gems in Karnataka. Build around the 1580s by the ruling king, this place served as a water pond for the nearby palace along with a worship area in the centre. A travelers rest area (musafirkana) was later built by the muslim king Adhil Shah. The water gets filtered at a nearby pit before entering the pond. This was drained and cleaned in 2002 and all religious celebrations were banned post that. The place still needs some development and upkeep but definitely worth a visit. There is no entry fee charged currently.

Splendid place. Visited in the afternoon of Oct’22 on the same day of Chitradurga Fort visit. Really liked this 16th century Indo-arabian style architecture by king Nayaka and 17th century Musafirkhana during Hyder Ali’s reign. Lots of pegion, heron, parrots can be spotted. The pond is full of fishes of different species and tortoises. You must visit!
