It was a sudden plan to visit. We reached around 7 and started trekking. It's a beginner trek with a great view and we took 2hrs to complete 3km Trek with sightseeing. There is a viewpoint on the top of the hill where we got witnessed the entire forest and the "INDIA Map shaped Lake". Saw different kinds of birds in this forest and especially around the lake. A good place to make a photoshoot as well. Ideal timings: 6:30 to 10:00 AM 2 to 3 hrs enough to cover this place

This place does not have any tourist facilities.There are no restaurants & shops around better to carry own food. Just visit this place only if you love the lakes, greenery & zero population around. Calmand serene atmosphere gives a welcome break from the grueling schedule of city life, undoubtedly the least explored and the most pristine region.

Nice place. 20km from Davanagere Kondajji Lake is a minor irrigation tank. The down stream of the tank has irrigation lands full of greenery. A small temple of Lord Ramalingeswara is located near the tank bund. You can see a temple of Lord Anjaneya also on the way to tank. The periphery of the tank is surrounded by forest trees. The office belonging to Scouts and Guides is near the tank. During morning and evening the tank gets the golden shade and is treat to watch. You can drive the car on the tank bund.

Kondajji is very good picnic spot in Davangere and it is one of the major scout and guide training center in South India . A lake runs through the centre of the village and the village is surrounded by minor hills.
