A hill treck with many viewpoints, There are many hill hiking places around bengaluru, this one is different, hill covered by fort. you can enjoy biking plus trekking. first peak you will see shiva temple, there many other view point's further. try covering things early in the morning for best views. Good for groups. I could see very less plastic here our people are changing. I hope people won't litter around.

Had a good experience. Started the journey at around 6:30 Am. Reached there by 10:30 Am. The way to the spot is beautiful as it is through a village. But the roads are very bad at certain places. The view from the top is beautiful. It is an intermediate hike according to me. But I saw a lot of small kids and old people climbing up as well.

A walk above the clouds!! Supposed to be one of the nava durg forts around bangalore, this one is really awesome. The fort is on top of a little hill which is accessible by car... the road is not that great but manageable. there is a small village establishment at the base of the hill from which you can start your trek. Since this fort is on top of a hill, its altitude is high and if you are there early if the morning, the whole place is engulfed in mist. infact you cannot see the ground from top, just fog / cloud, whatever you want to call it but it just feels that you are at a place above the clouds. About the trek its not too difficult, for 3/4th of the part there are steps cut in rocks and the fort follows a pattern. Once you enter a door, keep walking to your left, you will find the path to climb up. And another thing unique about the fort is the path is engulfed in vegetation. so from a distance, its impossible to tell that there is a path till you go near the vegetation. then you will have to walk your way through the plants. so make sure you wear full sleeves shirts to avoid contact with all the plants incase you are allergic. infact once inside the first wall, we were clueless how to proceed till we saw a cartoon figure pointing to the right... walked upto the bushes and then found the path. Overall, the trek up should be about 2km or less and for the last stretch to reach the temple, you will have to walk through grass close to 6ft tall. if you are really adventurous, instead of taking right to the temple, take the left and keep going ahead through the grass, there is a path to take you to the back side of the hill top where the views are great. Its does get hot after 9:30 or 10 in the morning, so carry enough water. overall its a great place for a quick trek and once of a kind experience.

Lovely place for an early morning trek and having a good time with friends and family. The trek difficulty rating is easy (4/10). It's located towards Magadi and easily reachable by bikes or cars. Ideally one has to start early in the morning to witness and experience the sunrise and fresh air. The whole place is in the Govt of Karnataka Tourism undertaking so it's well maintained and clean.

Awesome place for trekking. Difficulty - Medium ( around 3 kms total) Scenic beauty - 5 on 5 Road to reach here - Good for long drive Safety of the place - 4 on 5 NOTE: Check for weather, sunny would be the best. Unfortunately when we reached there it was foggy but while going down it was sunny. Caution: Do carry safety kits and be cautious while trekking because theft may happen as informed by police officials.

I had been to this place yesterday. Its around 85km from Bangalore.near Kunigal.Easy hiking for 30 mins max. There are steps till top and view at the top is good.Nice wind also.Parking local people charge 50Rs which is ridiculous. In fact I faced huge problem because some dog made a lot of scratches on my car when I parked and went for trekking and this parking fee guy not bothered also.Horrible.

Great place for a trek absolutely wonderful whether, if you go early morning lot of fog and clouds would be there and windy so if one has to visit carry water bottles also carry some snacks and energy bar and make sure you don’t litter anything once you are back you can dispose the waste in the dustbin.

Easy trek, beginners can definitely try it out. Try to go early in the morning to avoid the scorching sun🥵. The entire pathway is carved out by cutting the rocks and stairs are made right till the top. They have support railings on both sides for safety. There is a temple at the top. You can spend some time in peace at the top, cherishing nature's beauty.

Uttari Betta is a 5 km trek across a spectacular lush green landscape which offers quite unique scenic views similar to western ghats, it is also One of Karnataka's greatest day hikes. The trek starts from a small village, entering the fort wall and passes through seven doors of stone to reach the halfway point of the hike which has a temple of Shankareswar at the top. The view from the temple top is beautiful enough to seize your mind for a moment. Once we cross the temple, the trek continues ahead crossing a small jungle-cave, experiencing a whole new unexpected world and ends at the grassland top of the hill which is surrounded by huge boulders. After spending some time at the top with little chit-chat and pack lunch, we begin to descend back towards the base point of the trek.

Small hike will take about 45mins to an hour to reach top, good views from top. Parking near temple is limited may be ~10 cars can be parked, better is to park near entrance of the village and walk

This is an easy trek. The place is easy to access from bengaluru and if the weather is good climb is fun at any point of time.
