I am not a sea fan, rather I am a waterfall and mountains fan. But the sunset on the sea beach is beautiful, you should try it if you come to chattogram.

Patenga beach is very calm. The ever-known big waves of the sea are not found here. The reason for this may be the lighter ships. Still a bit likeable but will disappoint those who have been to Cox's Bazar before.

The sea beach I visited was an absolute delight. The clear blue waters stretched out as far as the eye could see, and the powdery white sand beneath my feet was soft and inviting. The beach was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space to lounge, sunbathe or take a refreshing dip in the sea. I love Patenga sea beach. I often come to Chittagong due to office work and every time I try to come Potenga Sea Beach. Try to avoid Agrabaad route in the afternoon. Because the traffic is terrible at that time. Seeing sunsets at Potenga Sea Beach is really awesome and addictive. There is a Burmese market to buy pickles and souvenirs.

The 7th March Speech is regarded as the historical speech in Bangladesh. This historical speech was delivered by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 7th March 1971 at Ramna Race Course Maydan in Dhaka. About 2 million people were present there. Bangabandhu delivered the speech during the period of rising tensions between East Pakistan and the political and military establishment of West Pakistan. In his speech, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman proclaimed: “This time the struggle is for our freedom, This time the struggle is for our independence.” The speech inspired the Bangalees to prepare for a war of independence. He called upon all Bangalees of then East Pakistan to launch a significant struggle against the Pakistani occupation forces. He also indicated taking all-out preparations for the War of Liberation. However, the speech has effectively declared the independence of Bangladesh. The speech of 7th March inspired the whole nation to take part in the liberation war and free our country from the enemy. This speech touched the soul of every Bangladeshi and even after 1971 it has encouraged and guided us to build up our nation. Really, it was an eye-opening declaration for us. It’s a matter of great pride for us that UNESCO has recognized the speech and so the whole world will know about the historic speech now.

Yes, it's a beach, and I'm sure you'll see great sunset here as it faces west. However, if you are expecting beaches like those in California, or tourists-filled beaches in Pattaya, Thailand, you would be very disappointed. I came here on a hot Sunday afternoon and a couple weeks after EID, people were relatively few. First of all, the beach's sandy area is very limited, except on low tide of course. Besides, the water is muddy and murky. And I didn't see anybody dipping their feet in the water. There were some hawkers selling snacks and pony-ride along the beach. There were also paid changing rooms, but that's pretty much all the things I found there, I didn't see a single public toilet there either. Parking spaces were plenty though.

Now nothing exciting here except to see the sea. I used to like coming here when I was little. Now the environment does not feel like before. There were many trees around and they are not there. And there is nothing much other than the various shops, except for anchar and some fried food. And most of all will disturb the different camera man here. There is some possibility of scam here. But it is better to be careful.

Nice place. Chilling and happening place. It has lots of snacks corners too. But, you have to be extremely cautious to select the right vendor and right dish to avoid stall food. Piyaju in those stalls are really good. You may opted for this Piyaju as safe bet. It is bit crowded on weekends.

Place is ideal for hangout with friends & family. Crowded on public holiday. Parking should be more organized. Food curt food quality is average, bargain before order anything.

The sea has its own charm. Yet city Corporation destroyed it with a vast concrete structure and unplanned shops and cart placing just before the sea. The unnecessary shops and tables and chairs are blocking the view of the sea. People are continuously dirtying the place. Although I love the sea, I will never go there again.
