Chandranath Temple is situated on the peak of the Chandranath hill. This temple is a famous Lord Shiva temple and it's a holy place for the Hindu devotees in Bangladesh. Although a lot of tourists prefer to visit this place for its natural beauty! Every Monday, a prayer session is held for Lord Shiva in this temple, and on the Shiva Chaturdashi, thousands of devotees come to visit and worship in this temple.

One of the best trekking routes in Bangladesh. There are two ways to reach, regular with stair type steps and other is between forest. From the start to finish, this will give you utmost pleasure once you finished. Take a bamboo stick for convenient trekking. Starts the trekking from college road through rail crossing. Average time 2-4 hours depending on ability.

One of the oldest and most sacred site of Hindu religion. Situated on top of the hill, the 'Chandranath Temple' is a very famous pilgrimage site of Hindus. Every year hundreds of thousands of devout hindus travel up the hill to pray to God 'Shiva'. Other than the temple on top, there are numerous other temples and religious sites situated throughout the hills nearby. In fact, most of the hills around the Chandranath Hill is dedicated to various hindu deities making the whole hill tracts a huge pilgrimage site.

A great historical place to visit. Trekking wasn’t so difficult at all but adventurous and weather on the top of the hill is really mind blowing ❤️ We should avoid throwing the waste over there😤 You can see some tong on the hill. You can try Cucumber, lemon juice and red tea (every item -10 tk) Take plenty of saline water with you to keep yourself hydrate.

Most attractive tourist spot in Bangladesh. Though Hindu community claims that it's a holy place not a tourist spot but I donno is their statement correct or not. Since, it’s in our country so it's our pride. We should protect it from all kind of evils. Located in Chittagong district.

In the Second World War, deep water port of Chittagong was both an advanced base for the operation in Arakan and a considerable hospital center. The cemetery was created for hospital deaths, and was enlarged lately to receive burials from isolated sites. Second World War warrior’s graveyards are in this Cemetery. There are 755 graves in this graveyard of the great warriors who died in world war from 1939 to 1945 in Chittagong areas. In this well-preserved cemetery at a quiet and picturesque place within the city lie buried in eternal peace over 700 soldiers from British, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, Myanmar, East and West Africa, The Netherlands and Japan who laid down their lives on the Myanmar front during the World War II. Its a burial ground for the soldiers who died during 2nd world war. There are about 755 graves at this war cemetery. Most of the soldiers buried there were from United Kingdom-378, Canada-25, Australia-09, New Zealand-02, Undivided India-214, East Africa-11, West Africa-90, Myanmar-02, Netherlands-01, Japan-19 and Non-soldiers-04. It is maintained by Commonwealth Grave Commission.

Chandranath hill is a very nice place. You will enjoy the beauty of nature in every step of 1,000 feet above. When you get up so much, you will have an annoyance, will come down after half the rise, but whenever you get up at all, you will not realize what you wanted to miss the wonderful scenes. When you look at the hill, you will look around, then you will come to the head, why the world is so beautiful.

An amazing experience to climb the mountaintop. It's neither easy nor hard. I've already climbed on the Keokradong earlier, so it was a bit easier for me. You have to reach there before 6:20am in order to watch the sunrise on this month (May) basis. It's recommended to use the steps beside the staircase here. It's easier than using the stairs. You can use stairs while tracking down. You need to put your bags in the locker you can find there in some shops. Better carry some glucose drinks, date, banana and water with a smaller back pack.

This is the main temple of Chandranath in Sitakunda hill. A holy place of hundu people. A Shivshila is placed inside this Temple. It's a sign of purity and devotion to vagaban Shiva for hindus. You can visit this place, but before that you have to track about 1100 feet in the sitakunda hill. You can enter inside this temple if you are a people of hindu community or if you want to be to devoted to in the temple.

I will recommend this place for hiking with friends & family expect old people & kids, women or men who have heart condition. Such a good place for touring in budget. Easy way to go from Dhaka and you have to bargaining for local vehicle & foods. There have some store who keep bags with safety just for some money. Recommend to take stick from mountain side store for hiking and avoid rainy days for hiking. There are many shop in the way to hiking. So you can buy water, energy drinks or food.

This a great place with a stunning view. Maybe one of the few places in Chittagong where you can hike without any security issues. The highest pick of Chittagong is as beautiful as the picture. Tips •Take the bamboo sticks, you may need them. •Don't climb if you have any health issue. Because the way up can be a bit difficult for you and way down is hell lot more. •Try to start climbing as early as possible. Because trust me, you can't climb up with sun on top of you. It will drain you very easily. •Carry handsome amount of water. Don't pack anything heavy that will make you tired. •Take breaks frequently and rest for a few minutes. It will help take control of your breath. Request It's a very lovely place and also it's a part of our national tourism. Please don't throw anything here and there. Don't commit any misbehaves with other travellers. Have a nice tour

Chandranath Temple (Bengali: চন্দ্রনাথ মন্দির or Chandronath mondir), located on top of the Chandranath Hill, is a famous Shakti Peeth located near Sitakunda in Bangladesh where, as per Hindu sacred texts, the right arm of Goddess Sati fell. Chandranath Temple is a pilgrimage site for Hindus. Its height about 1,020 feet (310 m) above sea level The Rajmala states that about 800 years ago, Raja Biswambhar Sur, a descendant of the famous Adisur of Gaur, tried to reach Chandranath by sea. The Nigamkalpataru refers to the poet Jayadev living for a time in Chandranath. By the time of Dhanya Manikya, ruler of Tripura, Chandranath received numerous endowments. Dhanya Manikya attempted to remove the idol of Shiva from the temple to his kingdom but failed.

Chandranath Temple llocated on top of the Chandranath Hill, Shitakunda, Chattogram, Bangladesh. It is a famous Shakti Peeth. As per Sanatan (Hindu) belief, the right arm of Goddess Sati (Durga) fell in to the top of this mountain. Later a temple build at this place. Chandranath Temple is a pilgrimage site for Hindus. Its height about 1,152 feet above sea level. There are 51 Shakti Peeth in the world, linking to the 51 alphabets in Sanskrit. Each temple have shrines. Chandranath Temple is one of them. Not only Hindu pilgrims, people of other religion also come here to enjoy the beauty of this place. They should not do anything that hurts religious feelings of the Hindu (Sanatan) believers.

(Translated by Google) Chittagong War Cemetery Commonwealth War Cemetery Chittagong is a monument of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission which is commonly known as Chittagong War Cemetery. After the Second World War, the British Army established the Chittagong War Cemetery. Due to the training of the army during the war and the facilities of the British General Hospital No. 152, the Allied forces of the Second World War set up a camp of the Fourteenth Army in Chittagong. The hospital was active from December 1944 to October 1945. At that time, a large number of soldiers in the camp were sent home wounded. And in honor of those who lost their lives in the war, a group of British soldiers erected the tomb shortly after the end of World War II. Initially, it was possible to bury about 400 bodies in this tomb under the supervision of the army. At the end of the war, additional bodies were shifted from Lusai, Dhaka, Khulna, Jessore, Cox's Bazar, Dhoya Palang, Dohazari, Rangamati, Patia and other temporary cemeteries to this cemetery. However, at present there are 631 tombs out of which 16 have not been identified. There are about 20 tombs here among the foreign nationals (Dutch and Japanese) killed in World War II. Among the citizens are 37 from UK, 25 from Canada, 9 from Australia, 2 from New Zealand, 214 from undivided India (Bangladesh, India and Pakistan), 11 from East Africa, 90 from West Africa, 2 from Burma, 1 from Netherlands and 19 from Japan. John. According to the profession, there are 543 soldiers, 194 pilots and 14 sailors in this cemetery. Apart from wartime graves, there are 4 graves of civilians in this cemetery. Of the total graves, the identities of the people in 16 graves are not yet known. Normally a Bangladeshi hill enthusiast & hiker starts his/her journey from here. It is famous tourist place in Bangladesh and a pilgrim side for many Hindu people. There are stairs from bottom to top. So,it's relatively easy to hike this hill compare to others. It can't be called a proper hiking though. There is 2/3 rest stops before reaching the top. You can get a beautiful view of Sitakund city & Bay of Bengal from the top.

Explore the divine and ascend the heights in Sitakunda! ⛰️ The temples are a serene haven, perfect for spiritual solace. Hiking the mountain offers unparalleled vistas, ideal for adventurers. While it's a family-friendly trek, caution for older individuals and kids is advised. Budget-friendly and accessible from Dhaka, local transportation and food can be bargained for. Ensure safety with a rented stick, available at mountain-side stores. Best to avoid rainy days, but numerous shops en route cater to your needs—hydrate, energize, and savor the journey! 🏞️🚶‍♂️

The great religious pilgrimage situated in Sitakunda, Chattogram. It is about 1200 feet hill. Advice for hiking or darshan: 1. Bring water bottle. 2. Wear light cloths and white T-shirt ( Sports pants, trouser are good to go) 3. Climb in winter. 4. Never climb in summer ( you will get dehydrated) 5. In rainy season, it is risky to climb. 6. Respect the others religious believes. Way to go there: From Chattogram, take bus from A. k khan or Alankar moor which will cost 50 Tk per person. Then take cng from Sitakund which will cost 20 tk per person. From there take stick to support. From Dhaka, take bus and get down in Sitakundu and follow the same as above.

The chandranath temple, which is located at the east side of Sitakunda city, is about 1152 feet (around) high and the highest place in Chittagong district. It's risky for heart patients ans also don’t carry baby and old man. But at the end It's so wonderful place. I love this place hope i can visit here again. This experience so good. the sky was overcast when i was climbed the hill.It took 2.30 hours to climb the mountain. The height of the mountain is 1152 feet, I never thought I would be able to reach such a height. But I had a mental desire so I was able to climb. To climb this mountain requires mental strength and plenty of water. So keep 4 liters of water for a person in hand. The view from the top is breathtaking. The whole city could be seen from the top of this hill. It was like the experience and memory of climbing a mountain.

A great place for adventure lovers. I however climbed this Chandranath hill during the rainy time. At that time the hill was full of mud, due to which the risk of falling was very high. But the full adventure fill has been found. However, there will be requests not to go in the rainy season. Because then the hilly roads are very risky. I went on the 10th of September of 2020.

This is a famous cemetary in Chittagong where there are the graves of soldiers who died in the Second World War. Its is maintained by Commonwealth War Graves Commission. This cemetary is so neat and clean. Very nicely organized. The people assciated with it really takes ome good care. Local people will not recognize it as War Cemetary. You have to call ''The Christian Graveyerd''.

The heaven place for representing your mind. You will be astonished to see the real beauty of earth. Huge hills, small waterfall, an ancient temple which situated at the top of hill. You have to be able for walking there. Because, the hill track is very risky. You can be fall from hill. So, if you have more dare you can reach top of hill and able to see 'Chandranath Temple'. So, i request you to have a journey in the natural beauty.

On the top of a hill of 1700 Feet from sea level a Hindu temple is located. Only feet is the only way to reach there. This is the top view of this hill. In the East zone of the top of the Chandranath hill you can see green hills and the east zone is covered by plane land as well as Bay of Bangle. Shandwip island can be seen subject to the condition of clear weather. Bring water, bamboo stick and zinger before climbing. Though this is a holy place so keep yourself calm and quite.

(Translated by Google) 2nd wear grub Commonwealth War Cemetery is located in Dampara area of Chittagong, on 19th Badsha Mia Chowdhury Road. It is located on the southwest corner of the Medical College, near the Institute of Fine Arts on Chatteswari Road and on a hilly and flat land near the Finlay Guest House. [2] It is located 22 km north of Shah Amanat Airport and 8 km from Chittagong Port. [1] The area is surrounded by lush greenery and foliage. [2] The area was a large paddy field at the time of the War Cemetery's founding, although it is now a well-developed area and the heart of the city. [3] [4] [5] There are fields. Access is open to visitors every day from 9am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm, but the schedule changes slightly during the winter season. [2] Visitors are not allowed to sit in this noise-free mausoleum area, although there is open access. History The mausoleum was established by the British Army in the aftermath of World War II. At the beginning, there were about 400 graves of soldiers killed in the Second World War. However, at present there are 631 tombs here, of which 18 are unknown. There are about 20 (1 Dutch and 19 Japanese) graves of foreign nationals killed in World War II. There is also a Chittagong-Bombay memorial to World War II (1939-1945). [1] This pioneer camp of the Allied Fourteenth Army was set up in Chittagong due to the training of the army during the war and the facilities at the British General Hospital No. 152. The hospital was active from December 1944 to October 1945. Initially, about 400 bodies were buried in the cemetery under the supervision of the army. [5] Additional bodies were also transferred from Lusai, Dhaka, Khulna, Jessore, Cox's Bazar, Dhoya Palang, Dohazari, Rangamati, Patia and other temporary cemeteries after the war. Rows of mountains on one side, vast sea on the other. Chandranath Pahar can't compare for such a view on a very small budget If you climb the mountain early in the morning, you may get a touch of clouds. This is one of the most beautiful spots I have ever seen. Going up and down the hill was very thrilling. Lots of sun and the stairs were very tough. Be sure to take enough water. Take the dirt path on the left while climbing the hill and take the stairs while descending the hill.

Well Its not a journey for faint hearted person. You must be mentally and physically prepared for this. ✅Start your journey at least 5/6 hours before the sunset. So ✅ check your weather update. 🚫Dont think it as a scam so ✅ take the wooden stick in the very beginning of the climb. ❤️Those wooden stick will be your life and knee saver. It's available on rent (per stick 10 taka). ✅ Carry water with you and a small bag where you can have some small snacks ✅Do not hesitate to drink water 💦 if you sweat you won't have to pee its how body works ✅ There are several stoppage, do not hesitate to stop there, take rest in between your journey at those stopping point. ✨ Stoppages have shops, they sell water, lemonade, energy drinks, bananas and other fruits. (Try to avoid carbonated drinks) ✅Eat as much as banana u want to consume Even if you never had banana, there is always a first time for everything, try these hill bananas, tastes amazing. ✅Look down properly when you are climbing back down to the ground. Climbing up and down has different paths. If u climb up do not go back to that same road to climb down. The road and steps are very different. ✅ Wear boots, it will prevent slipping. 🚫🚫🚫Avoid rainy days🚫🚫🚫 ✨Enjoy this hiking ✨

This was the first time I've climbed a hill on 2019. It was so tough for me to reach the peak. I felt so tired, so exhausted. Every bit of steps were a lesson for me. Finally, when I reached there, I felt so different, I felt like a winner. The feelings can not be explained here with some words. There was an old lady in the temple who tied a red thread in my hand. I felt so warm, meeting all those people on hills.
