I don't know what's so special about their food. The place is historically significant and so the ambience is different from regular restaurants. That is the actual gimmick. But the food is pretty much average, to me. They serve rice with fish or chicken or vegetables. Service is good enough. Prices are very reasonable. Seating arrangements are not that comfortable but okay.

It's a meeting place of all intellectual peoples like poets, writer, cultural activist, politicians etc. In the restaurant they are providing various kinds of tasty meals specially sorshey elish, macher dim and tomato vorta. All foods are mouth-watering. So if you still didn't visit there i will suggest you to go now. You can take good snaps here so you won't be disappointed at all.

The boarding house was named after his eldest daughter, Beauty. Soon Beauty Boarding became a popular place to book traders from all over the country used to come to Banglabazar, the centre of book publishing, printing and stationery wholesale market in Dhaka.[1]I

An amazing historical place in old Dhaka. There is a restaurant where people can eat bengali foods. Many famous people visited and stayed there. It was like a hotel in that time.

Old Dhaka... A place full of Heritages. Beauty Boarding is one of the oldest boardings in East Bengal. It's a hotel constructed in early 1910's where famous personnel like Rabindranath Tagore, Jashim Uddin, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman visited. The boarding has a small garden on their premises. Surrounded by congested brick structures, it has a touch of British Hindu Architecture. The hotel is now mostly used for their lunch meal. Food sold in the hotel are mainly prepared following West Bengal Cuisine methodology. Taste of food has drastically fallen and lost it's traditional fame.

Mainly its a residential hotel but its canteen gets more popularity than the main era. Rent of the hotel rooms is very cheap cause the buildings are old more than 50 years old. Its filled with green trees just infront of the hotel building. It has own parking area. Systems of the hotel building are epic. Canteen supplies here fresh make traditional foods, which they cooked from the very beginning. Some old visitor says that taste remains almost same as was early age.Cost of the hotel canteen r as like current market not less as hotel rooms. It has a reason & that is there is a lots of customer comes here to take only meals here. So the price of food here is as like running hotels. Reason of increasing the price is traditional foods cooked with traditional way.

historical and beautiful place. homely atmosphere. rooms are available at a very low rent. every moment you stay there, you will feel like you are at home. so many delicious homemade foods are available at a reasonable price. there is a list of famous people who were here. this will give you a feeling that you are sharing the bed, the room or the table that was once used by some famous writers and politicians. it's an amazing place to spend some quality time and refresh yourself.

It's a very historical place containing many historic events. Father of independent Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as well as so many litterateur, poets, and politicians such as the first prime minister of independent Bangladesh 'Tajuddin Ahmed', poet Jasimuddin, Samsur Rahman, litterateur Syed Shamsul Haque and so many others had their meal here over times. This place is as old enough as Purano dhaka is. It was one of the first restaurant of dhaka situated within the area of river port. So, the buildings are very old as well. Though this place doesn't allow rich food but has the capability to offer healthy foods.

Beauty boarding such a beautiful place, it's full of tradition, all building and there environment are so traditional like a 18 or 19 century. This boarding carrying lots of old cultural activities. There has the opportunity for traditional food facilities and nice backgrounds for photograph.

It's one of the traditional hospice in the dhaka city. Here you can satisfy your tongue by the taste of different mashes(bharta) bhaji. Moreover you should not miss the mastered Hilsha (Sorshe Ilish)

Very good with traditional style of food and place

Historical and tourist places. One of the oldest hostel and restaurant in the old Dhaka. There have more than 20 non AC rooms with attach washroom. The price of the room is quite cheap. There have a cafeteria also for providing foods. In the cafeteria you will find many delicious food for lunch, dinner or snacks.

Beauty boarding is a charming place in the old town. I would recommend everyone to definitely have lunch there. And enjoy it's architectural history. Nearby are some other gems too!

Actually it is not good enough to stay their as building is too old with narrow roads and drains. But in Chittagong It's a well known boarding.
