Had a great time there. The resort is just beside the army camp. It is operated by the army. If you go there as civilian, your expense will be too much. Luckily, two of our military officer friends joined us and we received discounted military rate for the rooms. Military rate is 1025 per room per night. Civilian rate is 4300 per room per night. Rooms are equipped with AC. Food here is very fresh. Try to eat as much of fish as possible. Explore the whole island. The view of the lake from the island is breathtaking. Two person can stay in a room. Our military friends arranged additional mattresses and total 13 of us stayed in 3 rooms.

I have to say this isn't a place for civilians rather its a military resort. There is no such recreational activity here such as BBQ night, no lighting in the night whatsoever,smoking in the room they say its prohibited, room rent is higher but service is not good. I have booked a room for a night which includes swimming pool as well, but they refused to take me to the pool in the day when i have checked in saying that there was VIP in the resort from Bangladesh Army and they cannot take us. They do not serve tea or coffee in the resort. During night there was loadshedding and electricity was available in the morning at 8pm, it is there responsibility to have a backup generator. If u book a room in this resort u will not be treated as a paid customer rather a 2nd class citizen of ur country. The food they serve is good but it is very costly co pared to any other restaurants serving the same items. If u r a civilian don't bother to go there and don't waste ur money not worth it. This should be strictly a military only resort for them and their families.

Lakeview island is 10 minutes boat journey distance from Main Kaptai. Lakeview island comprises of Beautiful Resort, Houseboat Play ground, Boat club. I can assure you that you will love this place. If you wanna that, you must visit this place. Canoeing : You must do in Karnaphuli Lake. If you wanna stay in Houseboat, you will like this House boat.

Worst experience ever.This is a beautiful place but but There services was very poor and they doesn't care about there outside guest. They only care for those guest who had booked there resort for couple of days. We informed them 2 days ago for swimming pool service but that day they are excusing so much . And there food was also so average.

Such a beautiful place in kaptai

Their service is very very poor. Staffs behaviour is not welcoming at all. If you are not from defence this place is not for you. They only surves their officer with top priority and the other guests are not matter to them. If you ask for anything in good case scenario they will tell they doesn’t have it or they will not even answer your queries. A very bad place to spend your leisure time. But the place is very neat and clean. Overall not recommended.

It is very nice place , room outside view it is amazing. But very expensive

One of the best resorts in kaptai. It is an army run resort established in the middle of kaptai lake. 1. Well decorated room. 2. Use of military boats as complementary while going to the resort. 3. Room rent for bamboo room 2500 and brick build 3550. 4. Complementary breakfast. 5. Very secured. 6. The area is quite large and one can enjoy the beauty. Highly recommending..

The place is beautiful, no doubt. There was no electricity for 6 hours in the morning! And they didn't provide water when asked, also they don't have any power generator for emergency situation. The service is one of the worse, managed by inefficient defence personals, they know nothing about service maintenance, they showed me pictures of better rooms but provided the bad ones. I would suggest Parjatan motel, Rangamati over it.

This is best resort in kaptai.good behaviour.The food is delicious. Nice View. I really like the swimming pool.

Experience was worst there.. with entry fee of 100 taka there is nothing for outside guest. They only care about the booking guest. Will recommended not to visit.

Winter season is the perfect time for visiting here.

One of the worst places around. Very unhealthy food - cold and overly cooked. No AC. Hot water didn't work. Worst extra bed (which doesn't meet the bed category, cotton inside was uneven, so old and over used). Behaviourd of the people around are rough. They are not professional at all. Never go back there again. Not recommended. Stay away from this.

Those who are from Chittagong, come and visit but staying is not worthy. Outsiders can stay, coz you have many things to see here.

This is Most Stupid service i had ever experienced. We Booked the room in morning. And after our troller trip we arrived at 7pm. And they have no electricity and no backup power. And after all day our phone almost died. We just waste our 5200.

A nice place to visit with family and friends.

A little bit of seclusion, away from the crowds. Though there are limitations in their own food menu and no wifi, it's still worth visiting, if you're looking for a quiet spot.

Lake View Island is located on Kaptai Lake in Rangamati. You have to take the boat for go there. There is a Bangladesh Army camp. So this is so secure for everyone. This is most beautiful place in Bangladesh.
