It is a awesome place to visit. It is surrounded by kaptai lake and hills creates a beautiful view. Very good for family picnic or hangouts. It is also recommended for institutional picnic. You can take a trip to kaptai lake by hiring a boat. It is surrounded by scenic beauty. In summer, evening is good for hangouts, it is a quiet and clean place so maintain cleaness and avoid sound polutiion. From Dhaka took bus to kaptai then you can go to Lakeshore picnic spot by hiring a boat or CNG auto rickshaw. There is a lot of surrounding other tourist spots try to go there like Naval base etc. if you donot find any standard place to stay at Rangamati you can easily stay there which is around 1 hour far from Rangamati town and the Kaptai-Rangamati link road itself is a journey to remember...to stay at this place you will need to give reference of any serving defense officers. Room cost is 4000+VAT ...you can enjoy private boat ride ..per hour BDT 600 ..however for large groups like 6-10 ppl..your visit will be more cost effective and enjoyable..at night the only thing you can do is to enjoy the magnificent view of starry sky if the sky is clear enough..the sunrise /sunset view from the helipad is also memorable...above all... Food and service quality is something that make this place different.

Very nice place in Kaptai.Any one can visit the place but must return before sunset. Any one can ride in the boat for kayaking but ticket price is so high.One person one hour 200 taka & two person 400 taka per hour.You can arrange any group picnic in this spot but have to take permission from the authority.Very nice location.

Its a great place.It is operated by both military and public services. Its main beautiful things is her natural beauty and her geographical location. if you come you will remember it forever. I believe you will come back But you have to maintain military guide because of wild elephant and truly they are very harmful.

Lakeshore picnic spot is always open for general public. Unlike the lakeshore Resort. This picnic spot is maintained by Bangladesh army. There is a entry fee. If you want to use the swimming pool and the resort rooms you would have to pre book. For bike riders they must have helmets or there is no entry. The place is clean and tidy. The view is breathtaking. There are boat riding services. U can take a ride on the lake on per hour basis. There are few lackings in this picnic spot. Like There should be a restaurant for the tourists. A place of natural beauty it is. The army knows to choose a beautiful place.

The best tourist spot in Kaptai. It offers huge opportunity to watch natural beauty of Kaptai Lake from the apex heliypad. It refreshed our mind by its gentle air. Your mind must be blow up. There is also a canteen from where you can enjoy snacks and coffee. Moreover it is operated by Bangladesh Army and Entry fees is tk 20 only. To watch heliypad you must reach there before 2 pm. We watch it by requesting them. Because it was not allowed for all that time. After All it was very much enjoyable.

This place is suitable for friends and family to hangout. I enjoyed every single moment I spent there.

My trip to the lakeshore picnic spot was very enjoyable and full of excitement. I went there by boat from Kaptai and was mesmerized by the beauty of Kaptai Lake. And the lakeshore picnic spot is simply amazing.
