I am posting this review so others are not disappointed when they go to Mati-ta Eco Resort like we were for our entire stay. To begin with, on arrival there was no reception or lobby, the building appeared under construction and was an underwhelming first impression. Instead of being greeted and taken to our rooms, we were taken with our bags and left outside someone else's rooms to wait in the heat while our rooms were made ready. It was embarrassing having other guests walk past asking whose bags were outside their room. Once inside our rooms, they were not the rooms advertised and accessible only via steps which was difficult for two of our party to navigate. They did change one of the rooms after we asked but one of the other rooms started leaking water from the roof when the rain started, flooding the floor and bed. We had to change rooms again. Each of the rooms had various things missing - towels, a bin, other amenities. Our bathroom also flooded the minute you started the shower. One good thing was the food - it was delicious, but everything else overshadowed the experience. And they overcharged us for it. Each time we encountered an issue we attempted to contact reception or a supervisor. The housekeeping/ booking numbers were always busy and the phone never answered. We asked to speak to the person in charge several times but the manager ignored every request, avoided us each time and refused to come and speak with us. When paying our bill, instead of apologising and giving since consideration for our poor experience, they actually overcharged us and added extra items! After we paid the bill (which we asked to speak to the manager about again) we saw the manager walking away after being approached by his staff to avoid us even after we specifically asked to speak to him. We understand Mati-ta is an eco resort but it advertises itself as a resort rather than the camp it actually is with service poorly lacking and no manager willing to carry out his duties. Don't believe the hype of all the paid reviews, while aesthetic this is not a resort. If you must go, do the day tour and don't stay overnight.

We visited Matita on 22nd December. The place is beautiful no doubt. However, the service is extremely below par. There is no reception. So, when you arrive you basically stand there and two girls sitting on a table managing incoming guests are rude and unprofessional. However, the most horrible experience was regarding food. The food refill system was non-existent. When you ask for a particular item, they in turn asked whether it was previously consumed which was pretty insulting. Overall, me and my family members had a pretty horrible experience.

Had the opportunity to visit Bangladesh's premier campground Matita ll মাটি টা at Bhatiari and I cannot express how proud I am that such a site exists in Chittagong. It's not a traditional tourist venue, which it easily could be given its stunning views but the vision is so much more. It's an adventure based team building site where groups come to train through experience of the outdoors and physical challenges such as trekking, zip lining, kayaking. Teams sleep in outdoor tents and bond over campfires. Really is a must experience for organizations and schools. Mati-ta Wellness & Hospitality is a next-level wellness experience Resort that provides life-changing, body-transforming, and spirit-lifting getaways. It combines sophisticated eco- living, permaculture-based self-sufficiency, and outdoor activities like hiking and climbing. The cuisine is always nutritionally balanced, and the rooms, suites glamping tents , and villas are ideal for the singles, couples, corporates and families providing wellness, adventure, and relaxation. It's highly trained and professional staff custom designs programs based on the teams' goals. The resort design has been evolving beyond the typical architecture and interior décor to a deeper understanding of the interdependency of nature and human beings.” You will notice how your body and mind respond slowly as you approach a Mati -ta , Your breath slows down, your muscles feel relaxed and your mind unwinds instantaneously. There is new life in the soil for everyone. There is healing in the trees for tired minds and for our overburdened spirits, there is strength in the hills, if only we will lift up our eyes. Remember that nature is your greatest restorer. So proud of Munal Mahmood for her vision in creating a much needed facility for the development of our youth It's just 30 mins from Chittagong city and 5 hours drive from Dhaka.

We went there with family (group of 14) for a day trip. We really enjoyed the activities that they had planned with Ferdous Zaman, Papri and Imon. Location was very nice and we were the only large group there. Food was excellent too as they served red spinach (a fav of mine) from their gardens. Overall had a great experience! Thanks to Mati-Ta for the memories.

The Standarity is maintained. Rooms are clean. They cannot handle if there are more people's. The Location / Place is not good enough according to the cost. The cost should be minimized or the place should be more updated.

Service was excellent. If you are planning for a family trip more then twenty people, it kinda expensive and no discounts so far. Food is very clean but not very fancy. Its a place for activities obviously) They should have several prices for group of twenty, thirty or even more people. Overall we had a good time.

It can be a good place for family, school, corporate or any sort of activities. You can get boat, zip line, trekking facilities here. We stayed there at tent. Their foods are just awesome. As It's now under development so few things may make you frustrated but overall goods.

Great place right outside Chittagong City & about 3-4 hours drive away from Dhaka City on a good day (early morning / weekend morning). Its filled with fun activities, very artistic architecture & fresh food. Going in a group is a must & as it requires booking for visits, it ensures that the site has limited people or private to you, so you get the full hospitality. I loved the mountain views, zip lining & animals there a lot. Its an amazing place for adults & kids.

We camped on a Monsoon season, and further Mati-ta isn't made for this specific time. But still the staffs of Mati-ta did their best to make our camping a memorable, and safe one. Food is amazing, it's lovely. The environment is a heavenly view. The staffs, best!

This place is basically overhyped by influencers. I went here with my school friends with the hope of having a good time. We were 9 people and booked 3 rooms to spend 1 night. When we arrived no one greeted/welcomed us. There was no reception area. Our rooms were at the top floor and had to take the stairs to get up there. Which is fine and all. When we asked one of the staff there if they'd help us carry our bags, they said no and that we'd have to carry them up ourselves. This was still fine. When we entered the premises we saw that parts of it were still under construction. Went up to our rooms and found out that one of the rooms' AC wasn't working. Another room's bathroom sink was leaking, and was flooding up the entire bathroom. The water also felt weird and slimey. It looked clean but felt really slimey 🤮. Even the koi pond's water was dirty. Really felt bad for the fish 🥲. After seeing this we called the reception several times. No one picked up. The person who showed us our room we tried calling him, he didn't show up. We got down and looked for staff to report to. No one was paying attention to us. Then finally got hold of that guy that showed us our rooms - he said he wouldn't be able to fix the air conditioner and then told us to call the reception again. And they won't be changing the room either as every other room was already booked. Frustrated and disappointed, we asked them to put 2 extra mattress in the 2 rooms - which they did. At one point we saw the owner and we told him our story. He then immediately asked the staff to sort out our problem. Once the owner told the staff, then they started listening to us. Brought in 2 extra stand fans in that room where the AC was broken. And fixed the sink that was leaking. At night it was another different hell. None of us could sleep because of the mosquitoes. There were GoodKnight coils in the rooms but those didn't do us any good. The lunch was good. The evening snacks, dinner and breakfast weren't that great. Long story short, Mati-ta staff are totally underprepared and unprofessional about attending the guests. I'd suggest the management to consider training the staff properly. Complaining to the owner to solve guests' problems should not be the case. And for those who are thinking about staying the night here - please don't. It's a great place for spending a few hours but don't ever stay the night. Unless you want your blood drained by an army of mosquitoes.

Matita! It's a very nice place to spend your day. It's full of natural beauty, rich with lake, large trees, various specious of flower ect. The events they run are very entertaining as well as challenging. The tree activities, the tracking segment and zip lining are the most exciting events of them. Moreover human foosball, obstacle course, yoga segments are excellent health concern events. Boating is one of their mind refreshing segment. The tent they use to stay at night, give you a different experience. Their food quality is good and the presentation is remarkable which completely match with the surrounding environment. The all over decoration, including the infrastructure and the furniture they use is a good example of artistic mind. In summary it's a best place in Chittagong to spend your day with nature performing a lots of activities with full of excitement. 🙂

We stayed at Matita at 9th June 2023. All over Bangladesh was facing scorching heat. Believing Google weather planned for here. We enjoyed raw nature and rain together here. Experience was top notch. Though we couldn’t do any activity except zip lining but we enjoyed every bit of rain drops. Their service was truly customer oriented. Wish to return here again with full gang in winter.

People know this place as a resort and come here to visit this 'resort!' But it is a place were different co-curricular camps are set up in different occasions like jambouree of scouts, girl gides, etc. But family tours are also permitted here. The hosts are very much cooperative. The families can enjoy themselves as they are in their home! Some activities are made by the hosts. Such as.... No,I'll not tell so it'ld not remain a surprise! The quality of the foods are extra-ordinary! You can visit this place for a day long programme or you can visit this place for two days. According to your time, they'll provide you with different activities. - Farhan Tazwar

Excellent place to escape the hustle and bustle of the metropolis that is Chittogong. Tucked away in Bhatiara, this place is lush and filled with little sports you can do. To experience the full extent of what it can offer you should stay for a day or two in their Tepee tents and go in groups of atleast 60 people. Place is built for team building activities and adventures. You can go in small groups of 6 - 10 but you will not be able to do everything. You may only get to do Zipline and boating. If you are going with elderly or people who are not active, then get the food packages instead of adventure packages. We had a ton of fun and the place is absolutely amazing

The best place for recreation. Mini basecamp you can say, but with good features and rooms with greenery. Loved it.

I'm sharing this review to help others avoid disappointment at Mati-ta Eco Resort, as we were during our stay. Upon arrival, there was no reception or lobby, and the building seemed under construction, creating an underwhelming first impression. Instead of a warm welcome, we were left outside someone else's rooms with our bags, enduring the heat while our rooms were prepared. Other guests passing by asked about the bags outside their rooms, making the situation embarrassing. The rooms were not as advertised and were only accessible via steps, causing difficulty for some in our group. While they changed one room upon request, another one started leaking during the rain, forcing us to switch again. Each room had missing items like towels, a bin, and other amenities. One positive aspect was the delicious food, but unfortunately, it couldn't overshadow the overall experience. Despite encountering various issues, attempts to contact reception or a supervisor were futile—the housekeeping and booking numbers were always busy, and our calls went unanswered. Despite multiple requests, the manager ignored us, avoided any interaction, and refused to address our concerns, even when we specifically asked to speak with him after settling the bill. While Mati-ta markets itself as an eco resort, it operates more like a camp, with poor service and an unresponsive manager. Despite the aesthetically pleasing appearance, it falls short of being a true resort. Be cautious of paid reviews, and if you decide to visit, consider opting for a day tour rather than staying overnight.

It is a place of natural beauty, with many age-old trees and hills. People come to visit this place everyday for passing time with friends & family and for playing cricket It is also a beautiful place for exercise (like walking & cycling) and recreation for everybody as the greenery looks amazing! You will get street foods like Fuchka, Chotpoti, Jhalmuri, Icecream & ofcourse TEA here

Adventure activity base camping ground. A restaurant and few residential rooms are available also. Unfortunately they don’t allow groups below 10 members. Reservations have to be made early. And i found it very expensive. Zipline, kayaking, foosball are available but hiking, climbing, adventure trails, rope course, obstacles ground and all kids activists were closed for their lack of manpower and maintenance.

Mati-ta is a passion project/a love child of a wonderful couple. Whose love for nature and being close to 'mati' inspired them to create a safe heaven for people with similar approach to life. I always enjoy being close to nature and matita took it to another level. Mati-ta is a cure and escape from worldly life to a spiritual one.

The most spacious and naturally beautiful camping/glamping eco resort in Bangladesh so far. Their location is very easily reachable from Dhaka Chittagong highway in Bhatiari and it gives a good vibe since the very first step. Dining, lobby, tents, rooms, activity zones are built with care and aesthetics. I liked their landscaping where they made a perfect match of plants and woods. The food was mouthwatering and the staffs were friendly and helpful. The only thing I did not like was the amenities in the rooms. The rooms could be better in that price range and you have to ask them for amenities like toothbrush, coffees etc. I hope they will resolve it over time and experiences. Overall, I spent a great night there with my wife and baby.

It’s a beautiful eco-resort with scenic beauty. Last few years it has become a popular staycation and vacation destination for youths. It would be ideal place for long day events as such seminars, workshops, strategic meetings. Apart from that, sumptuous day light wedding can be next big thing here because of all relevant logistical supplies are available with this resort. They have wonder wood cottage for night stays.

Beautiful, stunning campground about 30 mins from Chittagong city and 5 hours from Dhaka. It's an team building and aciticty based resort, where groups, even up to several hundred, can be accommodated. There are a variety of activities from trekking, zip lining, all customized to the needs and goals of the group. Team who chose stay overnight do so in tent and can enjoy campfire. Highly professional and trained staff, incredible creative and sustainable architecture, with fresh organic food grown onsite. Highly recommend.

Their location and rooms were really nice, clean and decorative. Location of the rooms were very peaceful, specially at night. Basically we went there for activities and relaxation but the instructors seemed unprepared for leading activities for different groups. We had to wait for other groups and a lot activities that were advertised were not available. It was misleading. It’s basically a picnic spot. They didn't have enough instructors. So it’s not recommended for those who want to go there for activities. Food was average. Recommended for staycations.

I want to tell you about our experience at Mati-ta Eco Resort so you know what to expect. When we got there, it didn't look good – no front desk, the building seemed like it was still being built, not welcoming at all. Instead of a nice welcome, we were left outside someone else's rooms with our bags, sweating in the heat. Other guests asked about our bags, which was embarrassing. The rooms were not like they showed in pictures and had stairs that were tough for some of us. They changed one room, but then another one leaked during the rain, and we had to switch again. Each room was missing stuff like towels and bins. The food was good, but everything else was not. Whenever we had a problem, calling reception or a supervisor didn't work – they were always busy. We tried to talk to the manager many times, but he ignored us, avoided us, and wouldn't come to talk to us even when we asked. After we paid, we saw him walking away to avoid us. Even though Mati-ta calls itself an eco resort, it's more like a camp. The service is not good, and the manager doesn't do his job. Don't believe all the good reviews. If you go, just do the day tour and don't stay overnight.

Had the worst experience! They are very unprofessional and service is really bad. They involve you with activities which are not safe and if you get injured, no one knows the first aid care and there is no hospital or even medical store nearby from where you can get help. The only good thing was their food.
