The Bangladesh Naval Academy is situated at the mouth of the Karnaphuli River at Patenga, Chattogram, Bangladesh.[1] Bathed by the river Karnaphuli on the east and sheltered on the south by the Bay of Bengal, BNA stands in a panoramic natural picturesque in an isolated landscape of the country. It is surrounded by heart-snatching lush green vegetation in Patenga sea-beach, 14 km south of the city centre of the hustling port city of Chittagong. Bangladesh Naval Academy is well connected by rail, road and air from Dhaka.Bangladesh Naval Academy is reputed military academy for naval training in South East Asia. It was established in 1976 at the premises of the Marine Academy at Juludia, Chattogram, later shifted to BNS Issa Khan in Chattogram to train the cadets of the Bangladesh Navy. The Academy shifted to its present location in 1988.[2] Yuri V Redkin, a Soviet Union navy sailor who died clearing mines left from the Bangladesh Liberation War in Chittagong port, is buried here.[3] The Military Academy was opened by the initiative of the then Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Academy was officially commissioned on 2 June 1988 and started functioning independently in the picturesque site of Patenga just at the river mouth of Karnaphuli. In July 1998, the first batch of overseas cadets joined Bangladesh Naval Academy. Till 2018, more than 100 foreign cadets from friendly countries like Palestine, Maldives and Qatar got commission from this Academy. So far, more than 110 female officers have been commissioned from this academy. In recognition of outstanding achievements over the past decades, BNA has been awarded with the National Standard on 28 Dec 2003 by the Prime Minister.

Though area inside the academy is restricted for common peoples. But the outside view of the seaside and ships are really awesome, specially after the evening. It is mostly crowded with students with friends and couples. It is one of the best visited places in the city. The patenga sea beach is near to the academy.

The Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) is the premier institution for the training and education of officers for the Bangladesh Navy. It's located in Patenga, Chittagong (Chattogram), near the coast of the Bay of Bengal. Here are some key points about BNA: 1. **Officer Training:** BNA is responsible for training and commissioning officers for the Bangladesh Navy. It offers various courses, including the Midshipman Course and Sub-Lieutenant Technical and Executive courses. 2. **Academic and Practical Training:** The academy provides a blend of academic and practical training, covering subjects like naval warfare, leadership, navigation, engineering, and more. 3. **Physical Training:** Physical fitness and seamanship skills are essential components of the training, given the naval nature of the institution. 4. **Infrastructure:** BNA has state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, labs, simulators, and accommodation for the trainees. 5. **Naval Heritage:** It also preserves the naval heritage and traditions of Bangladesh, instilling a sense of discipline and honor in its trainees. The Bangladesh Naval Academy plays a crucial role in developing future naval officers and ensuring the readiness of the Bangladesh Navy.

(Translated by Google) Clean and shiny. Patengjna of the night Well, what would the place be like if it was Chadni night? I have to come with Purnima once again. There are delicious fried crabs. (Those who have never eaten before, do not take the risk of eating) There is no bathroom facility nearby. The nearest bathroom is a 5 minute walk away. *** I wouldn't have had the good fortune to see the beauty of this restaurant if I hadn't got the bathroom speed. (Translated by Google) Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) is a training and military education institution. Bangladesh Naval Academy is a training center for commissioned officers of the Bangladesh Navy. Preliminary training is imparted at this institution to those who are ready to become officers in the Bangladesh Navy. It is located in the port city of Chittagong. The Bangladesh Naval Academy was established with 14 cadets to temporarily train naval officers at the premises of Jaldiastha Marine Academy in Chittagong. The academy was shifted to Banauja Isakhan, the main naval base in Chittagong in 1986. The academy was formally recognized on 2 June 1986 and the Bangladesh Naval Academy at Patenga at the mouth of the Karnafuli River began its activities independently. The academy has been playing an admirable role in the national arena of Bangladesh for more than three decades by training local and foreign naval officers with the motto 'Fight in the way of Allah'. In July 1997, the first batch of foreign naval cadets started training at the Bangladesh Naval Academy. As of 2009, a total of 36 foreign cadets from friendly countries Palestine, Maldives and Qatar have received commissions from here. For the first time since January 2000, 18 female cadets started training at the academy. So far, a total of 54 women officers have received commissions from the Bangladesh Naval Academy. The Naval Academy provides basic training to Officer Cadets (Higher Secondary Pass) and Directly Admitted Officers (Bachelor / Post Graduate Degree). The main goal of the Naval Academy is to develop patriotism, honesty, leadership qualities among the newly recruited cadets and to develop them professionally as a skilled and alert naval officer through physical and institutional training. The cadets participate in this academy for 6 months in each term and a total of 18 months in 3 terms. After training at the academy, they sailed for 6 months for practical training as a midshipman. Apart from getting commission, BNA cadets have also been getting BSc (Pass) degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals. Originally, BNA was affiliated to Chittagong University in 1973 for BSc degree. Then in 1995, the National University and most recently since 2006, the officers are getting BSc (Pass) degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals. Officers of the Engineering and Electrical Engineering branches pursue higher degrees at the University of Engineering / Military Institute of Science and Technology. In addition to cadet training, the academy also conducts junior staff courses, branch rank common courses and computer courses. Officers in the rank of Lieutenant / Lieutenant Commander participated in the 12-week Junior Staff Course. The purpose of this course is to enhance the professional knowledge and skills of the officers as staff officers and prepare them for appointment to various staff-trainers and captains. Naval officers from UK, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey etc. participated in the Junior Staff Course. In recognition of the role and achievements of the Naval Academy in the last few decades, the Academy received an honorary national flag from the Prime Minister on 26 December 2003. The Naval Academy has upheld the image of the Bangladesh Navy in the national and international arena. How to go The port city of Patenga is located at the mouth of the river Karnafuli in Chittagong. "In war and peace, invincible at sea" this is the motto of Bangladesh Navy. The Bangladesh Naval Academy is situated at the mouth of the Karnaphuli River at Patenga, Chittagong District, Bangladesh. Bathed by the river Karnaphuli on the east and sheltered on the south by the Bay of Bengal, BNA stands in a panoramic natural picturesque in an isolated landscape of the country.

Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) is a training and military education institution. Bangladesh Naval Academy is a training center for commissioned officers of the Bangladesh Navy. Preliminary training is imparted at this institution to those who are ready to become officers in the Bangladesh Navy. It is located in the port city of Chittagong. The Bangladesh Naval Academy was established with 14 cadets to temporarily train naval officers at the premises of the Jaldia Marine Academy in Chittagong. In 1986, the academy was shifted to Banauja Isakhan, the main naval base in Chittagong. The academy was formally recognized on 2 June 1986 and the Bangladesh Naval Academy at Patenga at the mouth of the Karnafuli River began its activities independently. The academy has been playing a commendable role in the national arena of Bangladesh for more than three decades by training local and foreign naval officers with the motto of 'Fight in the way of Allah'. In July 1997, the first batch of foreign naval cadets started training at the Bangladesh Naval Academy. As of 2009, a total of 36 foreign cadets from the friendly countries of Palestine, Maldives and Qatar have received commissions from here. The main goal of the Naval Academy is to combine the newly recruited cadets with patriotism, honesty, leadership qualities and to develop them professionally as a skilled and alert naval officer through physical and institutional training. The cadets participate in this academy for a total of 18 months training in 3 terms of 6 months per term. After training at the academy, they sailed for 6 months for practical training as a midshipman. Apart from getting commission, BNA cadets have also been getting BSc (Pass) degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals. Originally, BNA was affiliated to Chittagong University in 1983 for BSc degree. Since then, officers have been pursuing BSc (Pass) degrees from the National University in 1995 and most recently from the Bangladesh University of Professionals since 2006. In recognition of the role and achievements of the Naval Academy over the past few decades, the Academy received an honorary national flag from the Prime Minister on 26 December 2003. The Naval Academy has upheld the image of the Bangladesh Navy in the national and international arena. How to go The port city of Patenga is located at the mouth of the river Karnafuli in Chittagong.
