The absolute worst customer service ever! You need to produce a receipt to use the toilets? Who’s idea was this? Let me get this straight.. I must produce a purchase receipt to have it scanned then be given a code just to use the toilets??? What if I wish to wash my hands before I buy some food at the cafe? This is extreme to say the least! Especially during these times where we emphasize cleaning our hands before anything.. come on people, stop making life so difficult for your own people. I’m embarrassed to be a Greek. Hondas Center, you just lost a good customer. Not even the bank has this kind of security..

This department store has 10 floors- which is pretty amazing. Each floor has a specific type of merchandise such as cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, shoes and bookstore. The top floor has a lovely cafe with amazing views! We had some dessert that was literally one of the best I've ever had ( strawberry meringue). The layout of this center is a bit odd. It can be tedious to get from one floor to the next- either using slow elevators or escalators that you have to hunt for on each level. There is only ONE 🚻 Restroom on top floor that you can only enter if you have purchased something ( receipt is scanned).

A big shopping center that sells just about anything you might need. The staff isn't super friendly but it's okay. The rooftop has a self serve restaurant-ish area. The staff here was unfriendly and barely helpful, one of them was coughing while touching and serving food with no caution or mask. Not a great experience but the view made up for it in some way. The cherry sponge cake and cappuccino we ordered was delicious.

Stumbled across this store while wandering around Athens. Reminds me of Macy's in NYC but also has some amazing views from the rooftop lounge. There are 9 floors of designer goods with brands such as Skechers, Timberland, Under Armour etc ... Great air conditioning on a hot summer day.

Rooftop café has a commanding view of the city and the Acropolis. Smoking area has great heating in the cold weather. Coffee is quite good.

I shop in Hondos for years since it has convenient location and a variety of products. I visited the store last Friday. I tried to scan the QR code at the restrooms at the 10th floor, didn't work and asked for help an employee who was enjoying her chit chat with her coworkers. She was full of irony, eye rolls etc giving me directions in a way that a bad preschool teacher talks to a toddler. She ended up yelling at me when I said that the scanner is not working. I asked for the manager, the lady came, i started my sentence " i want to bring to your attention an issue...." and that was it! she interrupted me and started yelling. I thought for a sec that she would slap both me and the manager! The floor manager was hardly allowed to talk either. I wish I could film it, it would go viral in seconds. This review is not about the employee but about the complete lack of competence of the store/company to manage a situation like this.

View of Acropolis was great - but that's all! So called hot food was cold, piece of bread to have with my meal and was then followed to my table by staff because I picked up a butter for on it - was charged extra .70 euro cents! Then went to use toilet after eating and was told I had to show receipt even though table had been cleared already. A TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!

One must go the the rooftop cafe and view the Acropolis, whole of the Omonia Square, have a beautiful view of Athens. Definitely worth enjoying a coffee on top. Plus: all the shops inside are definitely worth taking a look. Most likely you won't leave without buying something.

Starbucks offer better service, it’s disgusting where a department store has to demand a receipt to use the WC, the worst thing despite how “privileged” you have to be to use the WC, it doesn’t even have a toilet seat 😂 I deeply feel sorry for the people of Athens if this is the level of department store on offer. You deserve better

Grear shoping center if you know what you want. Lot of brands, one of the floors for cosmetics, hair treatment etc. Staff is very helpful, but I preferred to surf along clothes alone knowing exactly what I like. Otherwise you get a lot of useless recommendations and loose a time. St.Olivers was my favourite corner. Only thing I couldn't understand why I can't pay on the same floor. On first floor did find some souvenirs. Can recommend.

The restaurant is great, very friendly people, good service, quality and quantity of food. Slightly more expensive than expected. Nice book shop, interesting choices. While eating outdoors, and with no one else around, I took off my shoe, putting it discreetly on the floor, under my chair, allowing my injured foot to rest for a few minutes after a surgery. A lady who was working there, came to ask me to put on my shoe again, as she was instructed to do so. I explained that I only needed to rest my foot according to my doctor's orders, but she apologized and insisted, so I immediately complied. It's an outrage! I was hoping they would offer assistance. Instead they made me feel embarrassed. Very poor judgement on their part. What a pity! I hope next time they treat such people with the appropriate respect and understanding. Thank you.

When we went to the shopping centre, the lady by the cosmetics area was very rude, she kept following us around as if we were going to pack nail polishes in our bags or something and when we asked her for help, she was rude and frustrated while answering. some of the nail polishes were packaged and some were not, so on asking her if the nail polishes were testers, she thought that we were asking such an idiotic question. Finally, when we were about to leave the shopping centre the lady kept shouting at us in Greek all because my daughter could not comprehend what she saying (which is normal because we don't speak greek). Turns out she wanted us to just leave the entry card by the desk. I am very disappointed with the service that had been provided to us today.

They have a wide selection of merchandise with a restaurant on the upper floor. It's a short walk from Omonia Metro Station.

The only polite and nice person in this shopping center was the lady right at the entrance checking people's body temperature for covid before welcoming them in. The rest of the sales people(all ladies by the way) seem too aggressive and unpleasant!! Especially the ladies/staff at the rooftop Cafe! The view up there is nice but the food is of cheap quality, untidy with no price tags and eventually when you pay, you realize how overpriced it is! There are much nicer places around the square where you can sit indoor and have a meal at a decent price. We were up there at the Cafe at 8 pm in October, there were hardly any other guests at the Cafe except us. The Cafe had 6-7 ladies as waitresses (which seemed pretty overstaffed) and still none bothered cleaning the dirty tables or paying attention to the customers' (our) needs. When asking them questions about where to find cutlery or drinks, they seemed uninterested in showing any direction. I guess they just enjoyed gathering together in a corner chit-chating, gossiping and idling around. Especially one of them wearing cat-eye glasses who was extremely rude to my husband. Our recommendation: Just go up there for the view and some pictures, then skip the dirty gross Cafe and the mess with its irresponsible staff!

Wonderful shopping place, good quality products, discounts on many items. It’s a 10 floors building with a roof garden with a panoramic view of Athens, Acropolis, Lycabbetus Mountain and all the surroundings of ATTIKA. The restaurant has a great variety of freshly cooked dishes, pastries, coffee and sweets, all delicious. I highly recommend this place.

I could give it a 0 if I can. Just because we were not speaking Greek, somebody called the security agent to come and surveil what we do. That is disrespectful big time and those ladies working there should get a well intense training how to deal with the clients.

I guess it's an ok place if you generally know what it is you wish to buy, many different shops and brands (department store after all), but the buying experience is lacking. There are no bathrooms around the store, only on the top floor, and you have to buy something from the caffee to use them. The view from the top is nice.

A little too warm inside the building. The location has many shoplifters, and you might get approached by children who will harass you for money. Personal care and cosmetics paradise with reasonable pricing on most items. You may be watched and followed, but it’s what they’ve got to do. You’ll be fine if you don’t shoplift.

This was a fun place to shop. A "mall" with 10 floors for shopping. There is something for everybody. All types of clothing(kids, men & women), fragrances, household items, make up choices, luggage, and being a shoe GIRLY. I racked up. Something's are a little pricey. I went during Black Friday sales & scored big🎯🎯🎯🎯

Formerly very popular and modern, now getting on in years. However, it is worth going to the 10th floor, there is a self-service restaurant. The food is quite good and the view of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill sensational.

Review concerning the roof garden café on 10th floor. After getting 2 simple coffees and a dessert for a quite steep price of 15,30€ (which is not justified by the ambience of food court or the service - it's a self-service café) we returned, as we ought to do, our tray with empty plate and cups along with the receipt. No-one informed us that the receipt is required in order to enter the restroom. When we reached there, two ladies told us we're not allowed to use it, because it's reserved for customers only and wouldn't even listen to us. Mind you, another customer found their behaviour so unreasonable and mean (his word, not mine) that passed his own receipt to my husband. That caused a horrendous reaction from the two ladies who started protesting that this was not allowed. We thanked the gentleman, selected however not to enter their precious toilets to avoid causing a scene. This was a bad experience. And it was crowned by a terrible stomachache that dessert gave me for a good 7 hours after consuming it. That café feels like a tourist trap. And please don't say "oh, such places are there in every tourist destination" (I wouldn't go so far as to characterise Athens as a European capital). For example, when one decides to have a café in Galeries Lafayette in Paris, they can enjoy the haussmannian architecture, super kind service and quality products in better prices. And they're allowed to visit the restroom, of course!

A fun place to get a few discounted and tax free items. Quite a variety of products to look around at, both greek and other international brands from designer to everyday. Most staff are very friendly and helpful but depends on certain brands. A nice view from the cafe upstairs. Prices in the cosmetics section are not all labelled well, and some labels only in greek on the list of products on the shelf- there are machines dotted around you can scan yourself if you do get confused or don't know who to ask. The toilets are not air conditioned and require some code to get into meaning you have to ask staff or wait until someone comes out to gain access. Building is a little old and the two elevators only go to certain floors

Great. I was looking for presents for my 4 grandchildren. All the staff helped me. Lovely shopping experience. My husband remained in the cafetiere, on the top floor, with a beer looking at the Acropolis.

  • 3/5 Stuart 1 year ago on Google
YES, only one toilet at top floor and you need to show a receipt of purchase(s), If you happen to have an urge to use it, I find it outrageous to have to fumble in shopping bag to look for the "apodixe" under the stern eyes of one, two, three store workers.! ☹️

Hondos Center in Omonia was a multi-storey shopping mall known for its variety of beauty products, cosmetics, fashion, and accessories. It's a well-known shopping spot in Athens. However, I recommend checking online or contacting local sources for the most up-to-date information about the center and its offerings.

The view from the 10th floor self service restaurant is incredible. Unhindered view of the Acropolis & Saint George church on top of Mount lycabetus. There's a wide selection of food varieties. I can't state that I'm thrilled about the teams culinary skills or the quality of the end product. It seems they need a bit of inspiration and skills improvement to deliver delectable servings

  • 2/5 Kseniya K. 2 years ago on Google
The shop has a big variety of different brands but it's a total mess there. Also you don't have a chance to spend a lot of money there because most of the brand sellers just ignore you even if you show some interest in product. Some I even find rude. Suppose they just don't want to be bothered. They for sure need to do better training for the pharmacy cosmetics brands.

Great place for shopping, specially for ladies. Even thought you can find clothes and shoe and accessories for mwn and children. But women stuff are much more specially items related to make up and perfiom, the roof top where is the restaurant and the coffee i can give it easily five stars due to the quality of food and drinks and desserts. Try the salmon fish and the cheese cake and the teramiso. Their coffee and nescafe are also special. The restaurant has a view of the city and the acropolis and the surrounding mountains.

The girls working there took things out of my hands to take to the cashier and gave me a paper to claim it once I get there ? I found it offensive. Also , none of them were nice. I understand that work can be busy sometimes, but there's no reason to act rude and entitled. Take care of your working environment people..

🫤 I enjoy shopping and when I spend my money I like to be treated with a smile and a helpful staff. This place had flaws with its cluttered arrangement which I got over quickly but more important the staff was not that helpful and starred more than smiled. I didn’t spend a dime there for this reason.
