The store was quiet and the member of staff we approached for assistance was not particularly helpful. In fact he was more interested in unwrapping his sweet, which he ate at the same time as answering our queries. We were so unhappy with his attitude and advice that the next day we visited a different Currys store and thanks to the polite, informative member of staff there went on to

Pc world...the only shop I go to because there isn't anywhere else that has the variety of kit. Utterly appalling service though. Expect 15 to 20 minute wait for service per visit. Addendum... Lots of stuff on the shelves, 50/50 if it's actually in stock. Utter rubbish.

The shop has a nice feel to it for shopping. There are lots of selections available for any electrical items you might wish to.purchase.

pffttt…. where to start? I walked into the store to buy an Apple Watch, found the one i liked, and went to proceed to buy it. When I went to proceed to buy it, I was told that it was listed as the wrong price, and that they would have to sell it me at that price regardless otherwise it would be false advertising. The sales rep called over his manager who then claimed they suddenly had none in stock so they didn’t have to sell me it at a lower price, despite the website saying they had loads in, and the salesman’s iPad. I’ve revisited this store since and the prices are still all incorrect. Beware.

We went yesterday and the staff are not helpful, not informative. We asked a question at the IT desk and she was not really bothered. What's happened to happy customer service. I personally think you need to train your staff to be genuine and caring please. Thanks

Great customer assistance. I went to Currys for a new TV and was fully assisted by the LG and Samsung members of the team. Once I'd chosen the TV I was handed over to a Currys assistant who went through everything very thoroughly. All done smoothly and professionally. Great job Currys thank you.

Member of staff who assisted us was not particularly interested. We said what we were looking for but we had to find it ourselves. Bought cooker. Then when delivered we had to have £250 of extra work done that we were not aware off. Now we need £90 refund because we paid for installation

Good choice of products and I got what I needed delivered the next day. It does pay to shop around though as some products are a little more expensive here. There is also a carphone warehouse in here so it's convenient to drop in for mobile products.

Went into store today to return a product. The two assistants Kevin and Joanna went the extra mile trying to help me find a replacement. As my initial product was no longer available I accepted a refund. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Very impressed

Order a PS5 headset online, went to collect it & had the lady trying to convince me to take out their insurance & then asking me who my internet provider is they have a offer on etc! I Don't like that pressure sales, just give me my item & let me go, if i wanted to take out the insurance I would of done when I ordered it & if i want new a new internet provider I will when its up for renewal with my provider for the best deal!

Total Rubbish, enquired about a integrated washing machine, non on display asked about fitting charges was informed £120, this does not include hanging cabinet door and moving hinges Therefore j argue if your not hanging cabinet door then it's not integrated. Normal washing machine £25 to put in same just connect and push into place. Asked if i purchased washer machine and fitting and when fitters arrive advise cannot fit what happens, there was nobody that could give an answer, All thd years j have visited and purchased from this store this is the worst experience.

Worst customer servive ever, spent 30 mins waiting for some assistance. Come away empty handed, went to Northern Euronics at shaw cross and thanks to very helpful staff there came out with a new washing machine in less than 20 mins.

I went there with my wife. We were looking at 55 inch televisions. The plan was to visit the Wakefield branch with a view to buying next year. A young man in his 20's helped us. His attitude seemed to be that we had to consider a Sony only as it was the last one in store on a special price. Anything else was wrong. No matter what we looked at we always came back to the Sony. We ended up leaving the store and will go to the Pontefract branch early in 2024. We will not use the Wakefield branch again. I will not tolerate being treated by a staff member like that again.

Went to click & collect - guy who served me could've been a bit more friendly instead of making me feel like he was doing me a favour by serving me! Maybe he was on a "off day" but just the same..... a lady did come & ask if I was being served while I was waiting for the guy to find my click & collect order, so a positive in that. The store itself is well set out & well-stocked even has air-fryers in stock 😀 at least they had many brands on display so hopefully they do have them in stock.

Always clean and tidy. Loads of staff on the floor to help should you need it. IMHO Currys have good, knowledgeable and polite staff who always try to do right by their customers. Quick update, nothing has changed still 5/5!

Don’t trust them for delivery and recycling. They refused to take the old item away despite us having paid for the service. No help over the phone or in store. Pay a proper plumber not these jokers. Product was at least ok.

It was difficult to get someone to help me on both occasions. Then she wasn't bothered. Not enough willing staff on the shop floor. I've bought a lot of items there this week and it's the same girl behind the pay counter taking ages to sort things out so there's a queue. Plus I wasn't asked about discount. I have blue light card so probably due back £100!!! Need to get their act together.

Pretty much the only electrics and electronics store left in Wakefield, and an OK store although not brilliant. Good for some things like TVs, of which they have a big selection. Not so good for heating products - they have none. I tried to buy a washing machine there but every one on display that I picked was out of stock. Assistant suggested I try somewhere else if I wanted a black washing machine, so I got one from Argos instead!

If I could give 0 stars I would!! I took my 8 month television back to store, and it was sent off for repair which I was made aware could take up to 28 days. It was deemed non-repairable after a week so I had to wait for a voucher to be sent. I received a voucher for £169 when I paid £189. I've spent over an hour on the phone to be transferred to five different departments all of which couldn't help me. I went in store over a week ago and they sent off a form to request the refund be made up to the amount I paid, I've been back to store today for them to tell me that the request has been declined! Store are telling me that the refund is short because the television is now for sale for £169 but customer service on the phone are telling me my refund is short because I have had the television for 8 months and had 8 months use out of it! I am now back on the phone making a complaint after using the online chat and being told I couldn't make the complain for an instore purchase through the webchat!! I asked in store what were my chances of receiving a refund rather than a voucher as I would rather buy a television from elsewhere and the staff said "you have no chances of receiving a refund rather than a voucher" The hole thing is unfair and the time I have had to spend in all this on phone calls and petrol to do multiple visits to store has been ridiculous considering I bought a television and it broke within the first 8 months of having it. I will NEVER buy from Currys again and will be warning others too.

I have always had a great experience in this store but I had an especially pleasant visit to store last Thursday (16.11.23) as I was approached by the lovely Kia, she asked if I needed help. She retrieved my item from the cabinet and brought me to the till. She gave me all the information I required and we had a great little chat. People as lovely as Kia are very rare to find in customer service now-a-days, she is definitely a great asset to the Wakefield store. I hope she is able to serve me next time I visit, thanks Kia 😊

Sometimes limited stock or items in the wrong place on the shelf. But if you find what you want and check out the details carefully this has to be the go to place for ask electrical gear. Note... do price comparison and see if you can get them to price match.

Returned a microwave yesterday evening Wakeffield branch, which had 3 years extended guarantee Only 3 months left on guarantee, but received another one, no quibbles Guy behind the returns counter treated us with respect and sorted us out in a very friendly professional manner. Well done, I forgot to take his name, you're a credit to your company Thanks Mark and Millie

Don't always use Curry's for pc parts but they had an amazing sale on the All in one liquid cooler I needed for a new processor it was delivered free the next day, came well packaged and safe from damage, cooler worked better than expected and would definitely recommend for a 5900x AMD CPU, the cooler is the Corsair iCue h115i pro xt RGB

This is a big store with plenty of parking so if you are wanting to compare items and have a look at products in the flesh then it's a good place to come. I didn't find the staff pushy or salesy either. This store has two floors as well so you are likely to find whatever it is you're looking for.

Shop is okay everything neatly laid out. Alot of high quality products available most of the laptops they over however aren't that good despite what they are labeled as they do sell good laptops but these cost more and aren't as advertised as the weaker option

I took a tv in for repair, it was returned to the Wakefield store a week or so later. I went in to collect the tv just after opening time, there was one guy on the tech team desk with a “manager” looking over his shoulder attempting to resolve a customer issue. The “manager” told me to go to the tills and collect my item. After a short wait the lady said I’d to go to the tech team desk! The “manager” apologised because he said he “thought it was a collection”. I returned to the tech team desk and waited a further 10 minutes for the “manager”, who had said to his colleague and the customer “I’ll just walk around a bit and come back”. That’s just what he did along with a further 6 colleagues who were “walking around”. The “manager” returned to serve me some 20 minutes after I arrived and apologised for my wait!! I got the tv home and it doesn’t work!! I have tried to find a telephone number to ring the store and there isn’t one. I’m hopping mad firstly at the lack of interest in the store and the lack of customer service but also the fact I’ve driven home, fitted the tv to its bracket and it doesn’t work, it’s a joke

8 had a great hassle free shopping experience. I came in for 2 pairs of earbuds 1 pair apple and 1 pair Sony. I was sold a warranty for the apple ones that seemed a bargain and given a quote on the Sony ones £35.00 to put a warranty on something that costs £199.00seemed a little bit on the steep side , that was the only disappointing part for me. Other than that I was absolutely thrilled with my purchases and the price paid was inline with online retailers.

The staff, when we could find them were a bit pushy, went in wanting one thing, they tried to get us to leave with 3 different things to what we went for, unfortunately (for them) they didn't have what we wanted in stock, better selection than some of the other stores but I think that's mainly down to having more space, definitely needs more staff though. Maybe get your staff to work on a less pushy approach when it comes to someone asking a question, no one likes a buy or cry!!

I knew what I wanted and they had it in stock The staff were not very helpful. I picked the stock item from the shelf under the display and took it to the checkout. The young lady on there took my order after asking if those staff over there Near the TV's had offered to ring the sale in. And then begrudgingly rang my sale into the till. Seemed as if they'd all been put on notice to quit, it was that bad.

We bought a built-in electric double oven. There was a reasonable selection of models with a range of prices. There was about a 15 minute wait to speak with an assistant, rather a long time because of a staff shortage due to Covid19 but the lady who sold us what we wanted was thoroughly professional and competent. The Installation team were very efficient and friendly. No problems at all. Excellent service all round 👍
