👍👍 For all foreigners, coming to Chornobyl, please take into the consideration the fact, that for Ukrainians, as long as people from Belarus and Russian Federation, this is a place of biggest nuclear accident in the human history. There are no monsters here, as long as coming here a new leg won’t grow.... People often mention experience,

For all foreigners, coming to Chornobyl, please take into the consideration the fact, that for Ukrainians, as long as people from Belarus and Russian Federation, this is a place of biggest nuclear accident in the human history. There are no monsters here, as long as coming here a new leg won’t grow. This area is quite dangerous but only in case you won’t follow your guide. Many people have scarified their lives here and please don’t just joke around. I think you won’t do this in a church or on you parent’s graves. Part of the tourists come here to see how their parents/relatives lived before losing everything here. We all know how Chornobyl is displayed in popular culture, but this place is not a game or some science fiction book. Remember this please.

Had lots of fun exploring! Due to the lack of people around we managed to have a rather undisturbed camping trip, there was an abundance of edible plants growing and there were plenty of animals to hunt (not sure if rabbit trapping is legal in this area though!). I stayed with my brother and friend for a week or so and it really was a tranquil experience. Photo of me on the 11th day!

Was taken there as part of tour with Gamma Travel. Tour guide natalie was very knowledgeable and really helped to paint a picture of what happened and was very detailed about monumental history.

A very cool place, went here for a day or so, came back with six cancer tumors and 1 week to live. Very cool experience, just wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Quite depressing if you think about the fact that over 150 villages had to be left by its residents.

A fascinating place, one of your first stops over the course of Chernobyl exploration tour. Consists of the Wormwood Star monument, memory alley complete with Iron Tree, monument of solidarity with Japan, and various other statues.

Depressing but interesting place for understanding the size of the nuclear disaster and remembering the people who never more have a chance to return back
