We had a 3 days stay there. All the rooms were very hygienic and staffs were courteous .The stay was comfortable and enjoyed really well. Thirumalvalavan and balaji was exceptionally good with their service. The only con we had was they charged an extra half day price for 4 hours even though we stayed there for 3 days.

Nice hotel in Vellore at a very strategic location. Went there on a weekend trip. Early checkin/late checkout was pretty restricted. Finally the reception agreed to 1 hour late checkout. We were however able to keep our bags in the concierge service and the lobby was good , the common restrooms were also very clean. The room with king size bed was very nice. It was indeed king sized and quite comfortable. The room also had a nice sofa , desks and cleanliness was great. Toiletries were pretty good and proved to be useful. Complementary drinking water was also provided. The food in buffet breakfast had a decent spread, but the taste somehow lacked the quality of a high end hotel. In room dining was also a bit slow and the food taste was barely average.

Went to the restaurant for having a family lunch so my review is based on that, not for the stay. The only thing that I liked here is the ambience and the seating arrangement. The food and the service, both are dud. The food was not at all spicy so, certainly not for South Indians but had to mention the platter was alone good. It took more than two hours for finishing our lunch. Every order had to be reminded to staff multiple times and they don't give eye contact, you have to literally call or go to them. It won't be a wonder if I say the finger bowl took twenty minutes.

We went for medical conference. Auditorium hall of as good enough to take 75-100 persons freely in that hall. Ambilence was good and buffet system also available post conferences in this residency. Over all feel good experience in that stay...

Went for a dinner with friend. Had buffet. Non veg Spread was good. Was mildly surprised to see no plain green salad, and no rice rasam!1000/- rupees was slightly on the higher side. Taste is good. Can surely visit once in a while.

Very nice hotel with good interior and cleanliness. All rooms and dining facilities are well maintained. Complementary breakfast spread and quality is good. What is observed is they won't compromise on quality. Minibar in rooms are maintained well. All rooms are spacious and tariff is reasonable at 3300+ tax for single occupancy with complimentary breakfast.

After staying a day, i doubted whether this hotel is under GRT.. When we entered the room it was so stinky, we couldn't even stand for a minute. This gave a very bad experience and was later addressed by the house keeping. Beds were not at all good and properly maintained which ended up in back pains. Taps are flowing even after turning off. The commode flush was not good enough to flush out, we need to flush twice or thrice, Food is another main item which needs to be rectified. We ordered food late at night and the food received was very salty. Breakfast also was not that great to describe.

Rooms are neat and clean. Guest service and check-in process is good. Location is very noisy place. Limited parking facility. Valet parking, be careful as my car had front side scratches

Very basic. Lots of road noise that makes it hard to sleep. There was a water leak on the floor of the bathroom and the floor of the room had some sort of greasy coating. Staff was great though.

GRT always maintains their standards thats what makes it preferred choice by man delegates that comes to VIT or CMC. Stayed there for a day. Staff are very friendly. Complimentary breakfast is great with lot of South Indian, North Indian and English options. This place is right on the main road and easily accessible.

Pros: Very good hotel with nice ambience. Though it comes under a Luxury Category I would definitely suggest for everyone who wants luxury as their priority along with safety and good food. Snacks and beverages are good and tasty since all the good brands are available in the room. CONS: The only problem in the room is the Wardrobe. The model which they have kept is seriously hurts everyone if some one opens it leisurely. The whole door is till the floor, and there is no space in-between the floor and the wardrobe door. While opening it hurts the toes. It would be a great effort from the Hotel Management if you could change since we all the guest often use the Wardrobe to keep and take anything. Except the wardrobe everything is good.

Good place to stay in Vellore . Centrally located . Clean , comfortable room and bath , except for a small problem with the lock on the bathroom door . Food was good . I was told that they are starting renovation soon . Will certainly choose same hotel on future visits to Vellore .

It was a nice stay. Rooms were small but their service made it up for this. Staffs were friendly and took care very well. Food menu was good.

Dropped in for a quick drink while waiting for a bus. They have a buy 2 get 3 offer on domestic drinks. Lots of complimentary sides, good service. Ok to take a lady as well. Try the idly chicken curry combo for a quick meal.

Perhaps the best place you can stay at I'm Vellore. Comfortable rooms with Aircon that works. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Located within easy reach of the railway station.

The restaurant service was very pathetic we had to wait for almost 1 hour 9.30 pm to 10.30 pm just to get the ordered food Veg pulav even after multiple reminders no one even bothered to check and respond to our order status ... Everyone from the waiters to the managers was resting inside the kitchen area as there were no one available to attend to the guests at the dining area.... Very bad experience with the restaurant service... Very poorly managed by the GRT/Restaurant staff. We had to step out of the Grt Hotel at 10.30 pm for dinner to hunt for a restaurant that was open for dinner. This occurred on 1st July 2023 at 10.35 pm for my family of 3 adults with 1 child.

we stayed in Superior room category and was charged around Rs 5130 (including taxes) per night. Start with Room is very small. Bed and linen did not look or smell fresh. We had issue with hot water ( though it was fixed it did not work properly).Normal Ground Water itself is hard. Food is expensive and ordinary in taste.Expect the free breakfast and entrance lounge, I did not feel it is a 3-star hotel. I am not staying here next time.

I st come quests are provided with variety of dishes. Even though booked for buffet, quests arrived around 2pm have not been served with variety of dishes. Limited dishes only provided.

Located on the ground floor, the Gingee restaurant offers delectable cuisine that stands out. Their buffet is exceptional, featuring a wide array of choices. Although a bit on the expensive side, I would have rated it five stars if the service had been slightly better. Our wait for the bill lasted nearly half an hour, during which no waitstaff were in the dining area. The sole individual in charge had also taken a break. In the end, we had to approach the front desk to settle our bill Overall Ambience and Location is Good .

Currently the hotel is planning to renovate in near future so slightly the facilities are not upto the mark but it use to be famous for the cleanliness, service and currently they serve mouth watering food. Very famous for Bamboo Biryani, Chicken 65 & Podi Idli

Stopped here for lunch on My way back to Bangalore, Sonia and Raja have the best service on top of the awesome food. Good selection of menu and sumptuous options , worth the price.

Had an amazing stay at the property. Rooms were clean and upto the mark. They even provided a lovely complimentary cake to celebrate my daughters birthday. Extremely friendly front office and service staff. Will surely visit again in the future.

The restaurant ambience was good but the quality of food being served is not up to the expectations. The food was half cooked and the same was repeated second time.

Staff at the reception were very pleasant. Food was delicious, there were lots of varieties for breakfast. House keeping and other services staff were very helpful. However the rooms were not clean, it certainly needs updating and makeover. The toilets were also not clean and definitely not up to the standards. We changed our room once as it was not clean to find the new room’s bathroom drain was blocked. We did not have a sense of holiday at all. We had stayed in the same place in 2012 and in 2017 when we were very pleased with everything. But I think there was no proper maintenance or upgrading done since when it was started. I wish GRT could realise their urgent need for a makeover and renovation.

Good for basic stay. Rooms could have been more cleaner. Turn arround time is way higher. Expensive for the value of service/satisfaction the hotel offers. But serves good food and people are attentive and friendly.

To be precise ... It's location is in the Heart of Vellore in the city. ... It's Quality is in the Heart of Velloreans of city. They are customer centric....... and people oriented. They never compromise in the things provided to customer. Overall a luxurious affordable place for stay and food and banquet.

It is my first experience here. Earlier i stayed at Fortune park. But for some reason that day all hotels were fully booked including this one. But thankfully there was a cancellation and a room was available. The manager saw that my mother is wheel chair bound and offered a room suited to her. The service is curtious but the restaurant felt under staffed. And there is the bigger issue of pricing. 2 dosa and 1 plate idly cost me 900 rs. It felt. about much.

The location of hotel is good. The pandemic has hit badly, especially the hospitality sector. Could be better. Bed spread and towels are good. The plumbing is bad, gives awful smell in the bath room

Absolutely disastrous experience. The worst in service. Had walked for breakfast on 14th morning at 9 am. Most of the counters were empty. No fruits, no fruit juices, no idli, no vada, no sausages, nothing. Nobody came to even offer a glass of water. All this for Rs. 1000 for 2 persons ! Absolutely pathetic ! Will never ever go to a GRT hotel or restaurant.

The quality of service including f&b at several 5 star hotels has seriously deteriorated after the pandemic. One main reason I think is that they did not retain their good and experienced employees during this time. So, despite charging huge prices they are delivering poor service. Today, on my way back from Bangalore I stopped at Regency Sameera at Vellore for lunch. Have been there a few times. I was delighted to see the same staff and experience the same warm service and the same good food. Great job done. Hearty congrats and best wishes. 👌

The hotel is good, very clean and so is the room.The bathroom is also well equipped. The housekeeping services are very poor . The afternoon we arrived, we asked for additional sachets of coffee and tea as were 3 of us. Nothing came for 3 hours and after reminding them once again they finally delivered the items. The TV was not working and in spite of complaining nobody came to fix the TV. Another issue we experienced is that housekeeping staff wait even after their work is done expecting a tip. Front office staff needs more training. They had very little knowledge of the famous Golden Temple in Vellore which is very popular amongst visitors to Vellore. Hotel per se is a good hotel and breakfast was decent with a good spread. Regards Mukund

Not as big or as great as you may see in pictures. Rooms are substandard and not kept that clean. But definitely the better option out of other hotels in Vellore. Breakfast was good.

Service very slow. Even at 1.00 pm for Lunch food was not ready. For travellers loosing time is not acceptable. Food quality is very good. May be a good option for local residents.

Stopped on the way for lunch while traveling between Chennai-Bangalore. Disappointed with the restaurant staff behaviour. We were forced to take buffet since no one was taking our order. Buffet was not that great, not even one item was good. Will never stop at this place again.

GRT hotel in Vellore is the best in town without any doubt. Excellent Service! Scrumptious food! Neat ambience. Other hotels are expensive and no way near to their service. We have earlier stayed in other hotels without knowing about GRT Hotel. Loved every bit here. Highly recommend

Went there tonight for a dinner with the family. Very poor service, though the food quality and taste are good. Only two waiters, we have wait upon them for even to place our orders. Otherwise nice ambience.

Rooms are small yet very good with amenities like sofa. Check in and other services are fast and polite. Breakfast was so nice and had good number of varieties. Location is the only constrain where some PWD work is going in front of the hotel. So it a bit annoying to come in and move out of the hotel
