We visited both the Petrof factory and museum at Hradec Kralove and had an amazing experience. It is a must-see for music enthusiasts, and please do *NOT* skip the factory portion. We had a small group for the factory portion - just my wife and me - and our guide (I think her name is Anna - very disappointed I forgot her name) was extremely knowledgeable about the piano-making process and Petrof factory's process, from procurement, manufacture, assembly, to QA. She even enlightened us on the impact on the piano business from some recent events - from the war in Ukraine to Covid, to Steinway's acquisition of Renner. I have been a Petrof grand piano owner for 20 years, and it was amazing to learn the details of how it was made, as well as to witness the care and precision that Petrof's craftsmen put into its manufacturing. The museum was also a nice visit - they have several one-of-a-kind pianos on display, and all of which we can try to play on. We ended the visit with a visit to the gallery, which was essentially a showroom. But it was nice to play on the factory's latest models.

Petrof is 150 years old and one of the most respected names in the business. This visit is a Must-see for pianists and those who appreciate pianos or the fine craft of piano-making. Worth the excursion from Prague.

A great place to visit the Petrof piano factory, where you can see every stage of production, craft stations, in the museum not only antique instruments but also innovative pianos, and after the tour, you can see a showroom with pianos, upright pianos that you can test and possibly buy. You can also eat something sweet and drink good coffee at the café in the Petrofa salon.

The only place in the Czech Republic where it is possible to see the production process of pianos - from the selection of materials to the final adjustments in the paint shop and tuning. An interesting tour of the factory with a nice and knowledgeable lady guide, ending in the Petrof cafe. Rare pieces of not only historical pianos can be seen (and tried) in the museum. An exceptional experience 🙂♥️

😠 The place is really small , it is actually 1 large tank, 1 room with fish skulls and cafeteria. Maybe it would be fine for a quarter of the price. We paid 500,- Kc (2 adults, 2 children) and it is really not worth it. For this money you can go to ZOO and spend whole day there.

👍 Sitting comfortably on an outcrop of rock between the Labe and Orlice Rivers, Hradec Kralove’s hilltop Old Town allows for spectacular views from a number of lookout points that skirt around its perimeter. 👍👍 A great indoor play park for kidd. The food is pretty unhealthy and service is very slow. But the wifi is fast at 31 Mbps and I'll forgive them the food as kids love the play park.
