Establishment has changed owners since we purchased their services. The ambience is colder and more industrial and very little warmth. Individual chairs instead of pews. Sound and video did not work properly. The people running it were very nice and helpful but our experience was mediocre.

I will also choose El Cajon Mortuary for myself. They were so very kind. They kept me informed of all that would happen after mom's cremation. When I came to get mom up they gave me a private room that gave me a sense of closeness to God, and that mom was there with us. The room was beautifully set with a sense of peace surrounding us.

Marisa gave me the best of care with the utmost competence and respect! I was able to bring my brother home to Michigan in what was the fastest turnaround time and I was very grateful for that. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciated Marisa at that sad time. Thank you so much!

The staff did a wonderful job with everything, and they made it very special. The only thing I would say needs Immediate attention is their sound system (mics) really need to be replaced or looked into after we had several problems with the mics talking and singing with the music 😔

The mortuary itself was very clean and tidy. The staff was very easy going and professional. From start to finish Dallas was thorough in explaining the decisions to be made and what options were available. Let’s just say that I tend to be late to appointments at times but the staff was good making those follow up calls and informing family members of important timeframes all the while keeping considerate in their mannerisms. I definitely recommend EL Cajon Mortuary for those whom are faced with the passing of a loved one. From the flowers to the casket everything was beautifully done. Thank goodness for individuals such as the employees that work for the ELCAJON MORTUARY AND CREMATION SERVICES. I wish y’all the best of luck and god bless.

Made everything much easier for my son and me to do what was necessary. Neither of us knew what to do when his Dad passed. We had no prior experience, but Dallas and the staff have really stepped up and helped us figure out what to do.

Dallas and the other employees were wonderful to me in handling the cremation of my husband! They were caring as well as helpful! I will soon go back to them to set up my own end of life plans! They are good people and care about you and your loved ones. They made life a little easier for me and were very kind and compassionate.
