Beautiful hotel and a wonderful staff. If you're considering grabbing a bottle of wine from their convince area save yourself the money and go to Ralph's (walking distance). They didn't have price tags on their wine, but it was $45 per bottle that I got. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I love a good omelet station. Plenty to choose from. Staff in here was super nice and helpful. Outside seating was a little chilly and the put the heaters on for us. The view from the 21st floor is incredible! Pool is heated, but was still too chilly for my little one. She was happy to check out the hot tub. Love love love the fire pit tables around the pool for the end of the day. Free charging for electric vehicles, but there are only 4 stalls. It's a slow charger so it took about 9+ hours for us to get a full charge. Great location, plenty of things in walking distance!

If you're looking for a luxurious and comfortable hotel experience in San Diego, look no further than the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. This hotel offers top-notch amenities and an unbeatable location right on the waterfront. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly its stunning outdoor pool area. Surrounded by lush landscaping and boasting breathtaking views of the marina, this pool is the perfect place to relax and soak up the California sunshine. Whether you're taking a refreshing swim or lounging on a comfortable poolside chair, you're sure to feel rejuvenated and refreshed. In addition to the pool area, the hotel is impeccably clean and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds, high-quality linens, and all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. You can rest easy knowing that the hotel staff takes cleanliness and hygiene seriously. Another great feature of the hotel is its location. You can take a nice walk next to the water, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and the stunning views of the San Diego skyline. If you're interested in learning more about the area's maritime history, you can walk to the nearby USS Midway, a decommissioned aircraft carrier turned museum. Overall, the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is a wonderful hotel that offers a comfortable and memorable stay in San Diego. Whether you're here for business or pleasure, you'll appreciate the hotel's exceptional service, gorgeous pool area, and convenient location.

Here’s the upside. Great view of the harbor. Great pool area. Clean rooms. Here is the downside. My room was noisy. I don’t mean that I could hear my neighbors. I mean it everything had a noise to it. The main issue was that the a/c sounded like an old motorcycle engine when cycling on, which makes for a lovely evening of being woken up every so often when it sputters on. So you have to turn it off…until the room gets hot and stuffy…and the cycle continues. There is no room service for this hotel. Everything is done from a canteen / convenience store on the first floor. I guess that’s the result of being a massive hotel next to the convention center. Sometimes you just want a bottle of water and you don’t want to get dressed again, go downstairs, and wait in line to get it, especially when you pay hotel prices for it anyways.

DOUBLE BILLING THIEVES! They charged my company for rooms, then turned around and made me pay again on arrival. This happened with my 4 other colleagues too. And in addition, we were all charged slightly different rates. They made an absolute mess of expenses for this trip. I have never been more disappointed in Marriott. I can only wonder how often they get away with this kind of pilfering and how much they are raking in with this practice. Otherwise, great location, but if you are in the south tower on the city side be prepared to listen to train warning signals all night long. Room was comfortable. Windows dirty. Service was good with inflated costs for anything at the hotel.

I have to start by saying I typically do not sleep well 😴 at hotels. I often wake up multiple times throughout the night. I have stayed at the Marriott Marquis before and often had my sleep disrupted by the train. I had a room on the Marina side and wow… no train noises. I was close to the elevators, and that was a little bit of noise, but I have to say I slept quite well all three nights I stayed. The room is well appointed but did not have either bottles of water or an alarm clock. Those are not at all needed, but make sure to bring your own. Always just good to have your own water bottle as more and more places will fill them for you. The view was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. AC kept the room cool but not cold. Water pressure was good. I would be happy to stay again!

Nice water front hotel in San Diego. Would have given five stars but there were a few issues. The elevators in the south tower were extremely slow, and always full, even though there were five elevators. Checking in, people constantly jumped the line for ‘quick’ issue resolution which was never quick, and the staff seemed ok with people jumping the line and ignoring those checking in. Didn’t see a concierge available. Restaurant is small for this hotel, didn’t seem to suit the number of people on a given day. The food was the location to many water front restaurants, and close to the gas lamp district. The hotel gym was huge and with great equipment. The pools were very organized and clean, lots of room for everyone to enjoy. Housekeeping was very friendly and attentive, as was the front desk when communicating through the Marriott app. Good hotel all in all. Not sure if stay here again, perhaps opt for a quieter boutique hotel, but suited our vacationing needs.

We loved the location! The grounds were beautiful, the staff was very helpful, the food was great and conference setting fantastic. The room looked very nice and the shower had great pressure. HOWEVER. Do not book here if you intend to sleep. The walls are paper thin. You can literally hear everything the next room is saying and doing. Additionally, the beds and pillows are as soft as marshmallows. While this might seem luxurious, it means for a very bad sleep and a sore neck. To top it off, you hear elevatoes, drunk people, planes, thumping bass and car alarms all night. It's great if you're 25. If not, find a more quiet location.

Recently stayed at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. The location is right by the water, couple of restaurants at walking distance. There’s a USS Midway aircraft carrier museum nearby to walk to as well. I stayed at a basic room in the North Tower. Rooms are big with wide balcony facing the street. Good rooms decor and space. Bed is comfy. Bathroom doesn’t have exhaust fan. Balconies have small space where one can move into another room’s balcony. Daily room service can be selected and cleaning is good per expectation. Food is very expensive in the hotel. Mostly ate outside which was little less expensive. Didn’t try room service for food.

I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Marquis. The room was comfortable and clean. My view was great. The food at my convention and the breakfast buffet were delicious. I was very pleased with the late check out I was granted. Lastly, the gentleman at the shoeshine station was very kind and did a nice job on my shoes. I highly recommend him.

Great location for attending conferences at San Diego Convention Center. Convenient to Seaport Village and harbor activities. Nice view from room. I recommend rooms that face the harbor as the street side can be noisy if you're a light sleeper. As for service, the staff were very good except for when I asked that the dirty a/c filter be changed in the room on Saturday and had to ask again on Monday when it was finally done.

The rooms are very nice. Balcony was lovely. I had city view, it was beautiful, especially at night. Pool is heated and plenty of lounge chairs! The pool area really makes you feel like you're on vacation. Plenty of places to sit and relax around the hotel indoors and outdoors. Bad things- car parking is underground and very far, city is LOUD and could not sleep due to train warning bells/chime "DING-DING-DING-DING!! " The elevators were hard to catch, or they were FULL of people. Overall I do recommend this place for the pool and close walking distance to everything.

The beautiful San Diego Bay is home to one of my favorite hotels, a place where I always feel welcomed and relaxed. The hotel’s marina is an exciting sight to behold, with its glistening boats and yachts that all seem to be calling you out on a grand adventure. When you stay in one of the upgraded rooms, you'll be even more delighted with the comfortable accommodations. The views of the bay from any corner of the hotel are breathtaking and it's easy to spend hours walking along its edges. I've always felt at home here and have enjoyed every time I've stayed there. Highly recommended for those seeking a getaway in San Diego!

Beautiful hotel, convenient location to many sites. Beds are a little too firm for me. I exceptionally love having a balcony!!! The reason for knocking off one star is because they need to do better with the laundry—a lot of the bath towels and washcloths had yellowing stains, other stains, and had hair intertwined in washcloth—this is not cool! From past hotel experiences, I always examine the linen and towels before using.

This was my second time staying here and it was fantastic. My boyfriend and I felt welcome and loved being there. Anthony helped us at the front to check in and he was very friendly. It's so close to so many things that is walking distance. We will definitely being going back again.

This is a great hotel. We're here at a wildly busy time, yet it's clean and the staff is friendly. I cannot recommend the pool area enough. It's good if you have kids or not, because there is enough room between the shallow pool and the deeper areas for everyone to enjoy themselves. The coffee shop has some of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. 10/10, do recommend.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! The room was beautiful, had a balcony that was incredible to sit out on and watch the air and boat show compliments of the US Navy. Views are amazing. Bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Shower was gigantic. LOVED EVERY MINUTE of this hotel. Pool was awesome.

This is a very large bowl and conference center. The staff was very attentive and responsive. Our room was on the 8 th floor of the south tower with a view overlooking the bay and the swimming pool area. There are several restaurants and many different shops. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was a nice size and also very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room had a safe and a mini fridge. The AC worked well. The lights in the bathroom and closet worked by motion detector. You need to make sure doors are shut prior to sleeping as motion may turn the lights on when you don't want them. I works suggest having phone charging capabilities on both sides of the bed abs thought it was odd that there were no vents in the bathroom.

I’m not a dt gal as the parking is horrible and expensive BUT this hotel is so nice and the people are wonderful especially the staff that works the banquets. I’ve attended 5 Camp Widow weekends in a span of 9 years and I just saw the same server last weekend that I saw the first time I was widowed and she was just as lovely and helpful as she was years ago. The view from the balcony rooms of the Coronado bridge is stunning. The only thing they need is more towel racks and a makeup mirror. I swear they used to have that…

Excellent military rate. Large room. Grounds were beautiful and well-maintained, especially the garden oasis surrounding the pool. Great, central, walkable location. Had average expectations for eating on-site at Roy’s but it ended up being fantastic. They will not remind you of your daily resort credits, so make sure you remember to take advantage of that. We will 100% stay here next time we are in San Diego. We did not bring our kids, but they would’ve loved it. It’s fancy but not too fussy where kids would be out of place.

Goodness. Long Long check in queues - what is the point of encouraging app download with phone key if it doesn't work? Go to use Apple Pay - cannot accept that - why pretend you're a technology company when you're so behind the times? Ask for a separate food vs accommodation bill for expenses purposes - the poor reception guy has to take 10 minutes to do that. Go to have dinner at the margarita bar - the bar tender has favourites and ignores me for half an hour sitting there - losing money hand over fist with a not fit for purpose ordering system - why not a QR code on tables with delivery to the table? So so archaic. I work for an AI firm and truly you guys are streets behind industry and general standards for investing in technology to improve customer experience and support bigger profits. Woeful customer service experience soup to nuts. Great room. Great incentives such as the vouchers but boy to you kill the feelgoods with the rest. Do better. Other hotels are streets ahead and as you can see I rarely choose Marriott anymore for this very reason.

Marriott Marquis is a Palace! This isn't a hotel it's a resort! My family arrived here for Comicon and was so grateful to be attending and staying here. This resort has plenty ballrooms where the event was taking place. The furniture and decor is luxurious. M.M. has plenty of UPSCALE restaurants and even the notorious M CLUB for platinum members such as myself where they serve wine, snacks etc. Let's take you outside shall we? The pool is massive with a sprinkler for the children. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, elegant bathroom and amenities that will impress. M.M. sits right on the Marina so it's a beautiful view of Yachts and ocean when you walk outside. The staff was so courteous helpful and professional! We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Marriott! The only issue was this very rude security guard named Joseph who threatened to call cops because we fell asleep briefly in the lobby before leaving.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and felt very high-end. The reason I gave them 4 stars is firstly they didn't have enough staff when we arrived for check-in on a busy Saturday afternoon. For this size hotel they should have every desk open and not just 2 out of 4. Secondly, the room wasn't up to a standard when it comes to cleanliness. There were a couple pistachio shells on the floor, dirty coffee maker and a dirty fridge on the inside. They clearly aren't trying too hard to make the room immaculate. Additional issue I had was that the only available plug in the bathroom seemed to have been sealed off and was not usable. I had to plug in my hair tool by the desk and do my hair away from the mirror. A major inconvenience. We only stayed for one night, so I didn't have a chance to address the issues or switch rooms. I would still stay here again because the views are amazing, and the hotel itself is really nice.

45 years of life and having stayed on hotels in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America - this is the worst. On all fronts except location it is a terrible hotel. The location is good. That's the only positive I can give you. The staff. Absolutely awful. Front desk is understaffed and rude. The bell staff are almost as bad. Even simple requests are met with disdain. Front desk do not care about the guests. Bell staff could not even work with a simple request and insisted to wait for the bell captain who was nowhere to be found. Room was ok, housekeeping kept it reasonably clean. No bathtub, shower only. Standard was way below what you would expect for the price. TV would randomly freeze and have to be turned on and off. Had food from Exchange which was overpriced and very poor quality. After that dined out at every opportunity. But one final word on the front desk staff. Pitifully bad. In an overall bad experience they were the worst. No interest in the guests at all. Glacial wait to check in. Disinterested in guests checking out. 0/5. Avoid this hotel.

It's a nice place, with nice rooms although missing some small amenities like clocks, ice buckets and glasses. Staff was helpful and courteous throughout my stay. Excellent access to the embarcadero walk and activities in the area. Biggest issue was elevator jams. There was a convention going on and lines to board could take 20 minutes or more, surprising as it's a convention hotel. Also, the terraces are extremely tiny and not worth the additional room fee.

We booked a room with a balcony overlooking the bay, and the view was truly beautiful. Our son had the most fun playing in the pool. Additionally, there was a kids' museum within walking distance that offered a lot of entertainment. Nearby, there was also a park and a grassy area within walking distance. The Gass Lamp District was approximately a 15-minute walk away. Overall, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

An extremely nice place to stay. We're the best exercise rooms I've been in in a long time. The hotel, restaurants and lobbies were laid out perfectly. Worked out great for our convention

We switched hotels to this location during a big business conference taking place in the hotel and because of the location being in the same building, we were super grateful we switched. We had a suite on the 22nd floor and it was awesome with a wide patio with views of the marina, a ton of space to spread out and lounge while on our trip. I wish we could have been here the entire time we were in town because it was so convenient and everything surrounding this area is relatively nice and separated from the chaos of downtown. I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay here. The staff got a little confused when my boyfriend tried to check in for us while I was in classes, but that was to be expected since my name was on the reservation. The pool here was pretty cool too and the restaurant / bar was hopping for this conference.

Super clean! We enjoyed staying here 4 years ago (2019) but its even better now. Seems the whole place has been renovated and updated. Quiet even when its full, and the view of both the city and the bay are beautiful. Well done, great experience. Will be back.

This hotel is in a really good location. There are plenty of restaurants and shops that are in walking distance of this hotel. Great place for morning or evening walks. I have to also add that our room was one of the newly renovated rooms with a balcony and overlooking the bay. There’s also a very nice sitting area by the pool.

A really beautiful and big hotel! Beautiful pool and tropical landscaping with a grand front entrance. This hotel sits in a great spot for walking to many other quality areas. Starbucks has 2 locations within the hotel and both carry the travel cup series. My room had a nice view of ocean, mountains, and city, with a sliding glass door and balcony. The fresh air was plentiful and refreshing each day and night. The service staff was fabulous, hardworking, and helpful the entire time. Thank you!!

This hotel is awesome. I have stayed here two times this year. Earlier this year stuff was closed due to covid. I stayed this past weekend for my birthday restaurant was open and pool was busy. That’s a good sign. Location is perfect if venturing downtown.

Truly a stellar experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were extremely helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were first rate. My balcony was lovely and the pool area fantastic. Highly recommend staying here.

A great experience during a conference with over 1000 people. Rooms were very clean and with great views. Amenities plentiful, and very nice, the gym was one off my favorites since it included so much equipment. Nice restaurants right inside, along with a large pool, mini convenience store, and Starbucks. It's super conveniently located to so many nice areas, both within a walking distance or a short drive. Staff checking in was very friendly and the value for what you get is certainly there. Considering our conference made it very busy, everything went very well and was very organized.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful harbor views, attentive staff, and great location! You must request house keeping upon check in if your desire the service, which I did. The break buffet is delicious but pricey so when traveling with a family, you may want to look into other options. There are plenty of restaurant selections within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel feels like you are on a resort with all of the amenities of being downtown. We will be returning...it was a great stay.

We had an amazing time of refreshing here. Every one on staff was helpful and kind. Our Room 717 was perfect with its two balconies, coastal designs and gentle breeze. The food was very good. The location is excellent within walking distance of the villages along side of the marina.

Amazing Marriott Hotel. Definitely on brand with great service. They pool is awesome but definitely a little loud, and quite a few kids around on the weekend. There’s quieter adults only pools at other resorts if that’s your thing. This hotel has recovered well from COVID and only noticed a couple of areas were staffing was short. That was the hotel operator and no drink service by the pool so long line at tequila bar. Definitely get a spicy margarita at the tequila bar!

Our stay at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina was outstanding!!!!! We received the best service we have ever received at a hotel. Our Bell Captain, Mike, was especially awesome. He treated us like royalty and made the stay extra special. The room had a great view and was very spacious. Everything far exceeded our expectations. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. You can't go wrong here. Would highly recommend!!!!!!

We had another wonderful visit to this hotel! Thank you for the upgrade! We love staying here whenever we come to have a vacation. It is a perfect location for us. Near museums and everything we want to do is within walking distance. We will come back and recommend the hotel to my friends and family.

Very nice hotel with nice accomodations. The location is as good as you can get being right next to the San Diego convention center and baseball stadium to name a few. Staff was very kind and helpful. The food and drinks they offer at this hotel are extremely over priced, even by hotel standards. Over $7 for a small Red Bull. (Which is why I can't give 5 stars). Luckily there are many convenience stores and restaurants within a short walking distance.

We stayed there for 10 days. The room was not properly cleaned at the beginning. Some of the rooms have a magnificent view over the harbor. Unfortunately, the TV blocks big parts of that. Our refrigerator had to be changed, but as a consequence the new one had to stand in the middle of the room for a whole week. The towels were never changed, unless explicitly asked for. The trashcan was not emptied, which was disgusting after some time. The key card used to not work several times, and although promised that it would be fixed, it was not and we even had to wait for some time until exchanged.

My son and I stayed here for a week and we both absolutely loved it. The staff was lovely, the accommodations were very nice and we had a perfect stay. I would recommend this place for anyone needing a hotel in the area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time at this hotel! They take really good care of it and the staff are super friendly. The only staff that was somewhat mediocre was the Starbucks employees for some reason. But other than that everyone else was great! The room had a great view and comfortable beds. Everything looks very clean.
